This episode was both brutal and heart-wrenching. I came into it fully prepared that at least one member of the troupe wouldn't get across the mountains alive, but still, I wasn't expecting this to happen.

This episode was the first episode I had a hard time rewatching. I remember when I watched it on TV and then saw the episode's name : ''Les loups''. Switched channel. This episode is heart breaking...

Man, I was worried that Vitalis would die, but this is just as bad! For a kid's show, this is some of the most depressing shit I've ever watched.

I didn't expect the wolves and tbh it was a bit silly how they laid that trap to intelligently, but nonetheless I was on the edge of my seat for most of the episode. Remi couldn't handle the responsibility yet and I guess Vitalis would have taken the watch himself if not for his declining condition. It was very sad to see Zerbino and Dolce die like this, but Zerbino's greed and lack of discipline was showcased a few times before so it's not that surprising. Poor Dolce though :(.
I was immensely relieved that Capi survived at least and once more when they found Joli Coeur on that tree after he went missing.
Very engaging episode with a sad conclusion but life goes on as they say and next episode seems to be a bit more uplifting so I'll look forward to it.
I probably regret this post by now.

Fucking wolves! I thought Vitalis would kick the bucket or something but I wasn't expecting Zerbino or Dolce to get murdered. Heartbreaking episode.

I was worried Vitalis was going to be attacked, especially towards the end after he put the fire out before noticing Joli Coeur was missing. Why did two of the dogs have to die though--I was prepared for an out of nowhere happy ending too when they got back to the cottage and saw that the door was open, but nope... Dolce didn't even do anything wrong, Zerbino had misbehaved a few times, but Dolce :(
It's so hard to believe this is a kids' show at times

I did actually wonder if they'll ever encounter some wolves, considering they're only traveling on foot. Didn't expect something this tragic though. Like most people, I was mostly fearing for Vitalis. Even when Zerbino ran out, I feared the wolves would get Vitalis instead while looking for Zerbino. But in the end, it was Zerbino and Dolce who died first. Worst is probably Dolce because she was always innocent, while it was Zerbino's own greed that killed him.

Bloody hell.

Zerbino was just hungry. Can't really blame him for checking the scent.

In the end, his own greed was the end for Zerbino. Poor Dolce too, she was dragged into it just like that.

I don't have words for such a heavy blow, this was brutal and way too hard to watch.

What a burden for poor Remi! The regret of falling asleep won't be easy to overcome. I saw it coming as he shared those last beautiful moments with both Dolce and Zerbino, but it didn't make it any easier...

What a silly episode, the wolf leader even got a scar on one of his eyes. Their attempt for drama is really stupid especially the way the pack of wolves don't act like animals but instead goofy villain to trap the good guys. I'm still wondering how in the world is this a kids show lol. And how is the monkey climb up the tree so high when there is literally no wolf that come inside the cottage. Remi at this point still following orders from his master be a good pet just like the others.

...the troupe thins. Fuck... can we reiterate that this has "Demographic: Kids" on it? This would've traumatized the fuck out of me as a kid! They put so much attention on all the foreshadowing and symbolism around Vitalis' condition, just to instead sucker-punch the audience with the death of two of the animal troupe members!

@VivaceRex
I'm guessing the monkey went outside to look for them, then either heard wolf barks or wanted a high vantage point to find the troupe, and climbed up the tree. Not exactly sure why he was so scared up there, though.
