| Believe it or not, this season Watashi wo Tabetai, Hitodenashi has become such a comfort anime.Most people look at Watashi wo Tabetai, Hitodenashi and stop at the surface layer: “tragic shoujo, doomed romance,.” but I'm drawn to the quiet spaces inside the tragedy, the parts where the characters breathe, confess, and reveal the rawest pieces of themselves. That’s exactly the kind of place I'm looking for, I so sick and tired of this world and I have said I truly want to live in the world of ayakashi and youkai. |

The thing is, there isn't a single Anime title that does this. It's more like different types of Anime give me different forms of comfort.  Simply re-watching shit like "Kiddy Grade", "009-1", and even "Agent AIKa" with a few friends in my mancave, while we all sit on heated leather recliners, sipping on Soju in front of a 65" BRAVIA, brings comfort on a cold winter evening.  Sometimes I let the original three seasons of "Slayers" run as background ambience in my study, with a wall-mounted BRAVIA angled for occasional glances while I work on my computer, managing short-term investments or checking the MAL forums during downtime, all on multiple monitors.   Any time hanging out with my friends in my mancave while we play games of billiards and drinking beers, it's comforting to know everyone still enjoys shit like "Ikkitousen" or even "Najica Blitz Tactics" screen mirror on the wall mounted BRAVIA's surrounding my pool table.    Sometimes I will just sit on the couch in my living room, even with my wife when she is home, and just binge the shit out of "Grenadier", "Desert Punk", or even "Rune Soldier" while we are snacking on freshly cut sashimi and sipping on some warm sake. Basically in general, Anime always relaxes me because it's my specific vice to consume to wind the fuck down. Anime in general is my comfort medium. |

Even though I’m not a huge "Queen's Blade" fan, I have to say you’ve got a pretty impressive collection there. I almost bought the AnimeWorks "Queen’s Blade: Complete Series" 7-disc DVD set. which includes "The Exiled Virgin" and "Inheritor of the Throne" at a used bookstore near me. But I passed on it because the discs were super scratched up. If I ever try hunting the shit down for my own collection one day, it would be awesome to track down all the original individual Western-release DVDs volumes for at least the first two seasons. If I ever do find them all, I will tag you if I share the shit on here. lol |

Hope you can find a full copy of the queen's blade anime for a reasonable price. | I rarely go back to shows that I've finished, with a few exceptions: Yuru Camp for me as well. It's just uncomplicated and pure appreciation of the outdoors, traveling, food and enjoying a hobby you love. Looks beautiful, the voices are pleasant, and the music is charming. Chihayafuru is another one. It's just positive vibes all around without being too hot-headed and stressful, and even when I'm not watching the screen, the music and the poetry reading make for pleasant background noise. |
