| Holy shit, they brought back Mio! What a casual and natural cameo; this is a fantastic way to connect the two series!! As expected, this episode was much more energetic than the first and the main plot finally kicks in with all three girls present. Nagumo and Niikura's backstory was cute; wonder what Izumi's one will be. NAGUMO BUSTAHHH!!  I also love Izumi's evil face right here. No one's a saint!  |

| The truth is, the reason I don’t write comments immediately is because I want to enjoy this anime 100%. I carefully choose the right time when I’m completely free and in the best mood to watch it. This show is truly one of the most important works for me. Even though I feel that Nichijou had a better start than this one, it’s way too early to judge — don’t you agree? For me, both are among the best in the anime world... I’m just comparing the best with the best. Now, my thoughts on this episode: I really loved Nikura’s character — and also Matsuri and her friend! Both of them just bring me joy whenever they appear on screen... Also, Nagumo — she’s supposed to be famous for sports and physical activities, so how did she end up living in a small apartment? People like her should be more well-known, right? I’d like to comment more, but let’s wait for next week’s episode. Here are some frames — hope you like them! 👇 |

| I gave this a try based on a recommendation, but I not really feeling it. It is basically a series of slice of life skits with nary a metaplot to be found within the city limits. Apparently it is funny, but to be frank I am watching two other shows I am finding much funnier and some slice-of-life that are much more engaging. Episode three will really have to impress me to keep me watching. |
| Sasago could have led his team to victory and become the next Pele... but, unfortunately, his teammates were lousy bodyguards. A real shame: Sasago's career ends here 😞. The horoscope was a total scam. Poor Tatewaku wore a miniskirt for nothing. Daisuke Naganohara 😅 I wasn't expecting Mio to show up... even if it was from behind. Luckily for Kamaboko Oni, he had a broken arm, so Mr. Failure will be able to live another day. Kamaboko and Todoroki's scene was very tender and heartbreaking. At least he didn't lose his job... even if he still has zero ideas. |

I loved this episode lol, I still think Nichijou is way better but this is also pure cinema.

I'm pretty sure with this episode they confirmed this being a sequel to Nichijou, not a DIRECT sequel, more of like a universe-sequel (if that makes any sense lol).
The injured mangaka, "Naganohara-sensei", is Naganohara Mio from Nichijou, she has blue hair, and she draw manga since childhood as seen in that show so sounds logic she became a mangaka as an adult. She also only said a couple of words but sounds really similar.
Of course I know both series are made by the same mangaka (GOD BLESS KEIICHI ARAWI SENSEI!), but supposedly they aren't "related", so seeing this made me so happy.
Maybe I'm wrong, but for me that's canon.
Oh, there is also a image of Sakamoto in a bag on the floor in the scene just after the opening, they turned him into a product mascot lmao

| Had some fun watching this, but I especially liked the two high school friends they’re so funny |
| So I'm thinking that the different skits that were shown will continue as this series airs such as the manga guys and for sure Nagumo and her roommate. I'm also thinking that we'll continue to see Wako who loves taking pictures of Nagumo. The most entertaining skit for me in this episode was Niikura having an internal conflict on whether or not to take a 500 yen coin she found on the street. While she ended up not taking it at least she won't be guilt-ridden since the alleged owner of it eventually returned, and her angel was late haha. |
| Guessing the main trio of girls will be one of the biggest backbones of City, just like the girls in Nichijou. Such different personalities, so much potential for more comedy! |
