| If there's anything to learn about Jinshi, his family history is quite the intrigue that's shrouded in mystery, let alone the eunuch himself. The literacy within the rear palace improving thanks to Jinshi's efforts, to people like Xiaolan being taught by teachers, it's good progress for Maomao. But the Emperor allowing Maomao access to the Shrine of Choosing (where women were prohibited except the Mother Royal and Empress Dowager), this is a first going through what seems like an endless maze. Though once again, it seems that the Emperor could not best the shrine, with the old eunuch knowing that her father Luomen would've been able to solve it. Maomao seemingly having a perception that people have not good eyesight, and wants to attempt the shrine again, she takes a different approach and leads both Jinshi and the Emperor to the right path. And linking this back to the story of the Mother Royal, it's literate colour blindness, and only thanks because Luomen visited the western lands and had prior knowledge about this. This goes back to the Mother Royal and the subsequent generations of succession, which the Shrine is the only way to prove this. For someone who's not royalty, Maomao's intellect is strong, but deep in Jinshi's mind, it feels like he's found his woman (given his circumstances). Well, for now, who really knows? |

| Ohh, hereditary color blindness from the mother to be able to pass the door test, makes all sense, that was intelligent but as Maomao said you will not always get color blindness even with the right genes |
