| Dungeon Meshi, Mononoke: Karakasa, and Bravern were all fantastic. I'd be hard pressed to pick one but that's not a dilemma I'm unhappy to be facing! It means it was a good year The worst was probably Isekai Suicide Squad. The only redeeming factor was that the henshin sequences in the last episode were admittedly cool, I didn't have remotely high expectations for this show but I wasnt expecting it to be quite as painfully dull as it ended up being. |

| It doesn't really feel like Christmas week, the time between Christmas and New Year's and the end of the year until these type of posts appear. Always all of a sudden reminds you of the passage of time all at once even more than usual. Anyway, I've settled on a Top 10 as far as favorites goes which I've posted a few times in a few other thread topics, and it's one I feel content and confident enough on now that I'm done with most of the autumn seasonals (a few are finished but I've yet to personally finish and a few are still airing). There are still a number of series which were released this year which I want to get around to watching eventually, like several summer seasonals, so that list may always be revised. I haven't compiled a worst or least favorites list yet. And when I do those I don't typically number/rank them, so I won't do so for either group here. A Personal Bias Award is given to my favorite anime of the year. And a special Underrated Anime Award will be given to the anime that deserves a hype because of its quality and standard. With all the highly produced series by the named studios aired this year: Solo Leveling (A-1 Pictures), Kaijuu No.8 (Production I.G), Dandadan (Science Saru), Dungeon Meshi (Studio Trigger), they were all UNDERWHELMING and MEDIOCRE at best. Bland, dropped, and/or never stood to their following hype. This list consist of anime that stood their ground from the moment their Episode 1 starts airing. The delivery of each anime really shows how an anime could become with a good writing, animation, music and soundtrack, and story. | Very recency bias pilled but Dandadan was amazing, especially ep7 was so touching. Dungeon Meshi, Mushoku Tensei, Girls Band Cry, Train to the End of the World, Look Back, Shikanoko (and possibly Mecha-ude) were also really fun For the worst it's probably Tower of God S2, it has to be the most lifeless adaptation I've seen in my life. Dropped somewhere around ep 3-4. |

Loved Joe and Rikishi's rivalry The worst is Ayakashi: Japanese Classic Horror which would have had a score of 1 or 2 for me if not for the Medicine Seller's debut arc |
