This new art style is incredible. I liked the movie style of the first season, but this new one is a lot more like Fujimoto’s style.

Reze is best girl. Can’t wait. I genuinely cried at this.

Seems a little less cinematographic centered (which was expected since the japanese hated it), it's quite interesting. I am excited to see this in the theatre !
I like everything, ok

And there are people on here who seriously hate this adaptation? LMFAOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO to those people, go ahead and keep trying to be different for the sake of being different, WE ARE SO FUCKING BACK BABY πŸ™πŸ™πŸ™πŸ™πŸ™πŸ™
People on MAL refuse to actually enjoy watching anime.

Your taste in anime isn't a personality trait.

MAL is literally just anime Twitter as its own website lol.

Let's fucking gooo !!! I am soo hyped. Although the director have changed but form what I can see their isn't any significant changes in artstyle unlike Jujutsu Kaisen.

The art style doesnt look much different than season 1, but noticeably different. Given Yoshihara Tatsuya's direction style, this will definitely look cinematic like the prequel.

And holy shit!! The sakuga's gone haywire!!

I’m so happy they kept Kensuke Ushio on for the music, his score for S1 was incredible. His work on DanDaDan was equally so. Hopefully he cools even more for this

Wtf!? CSM uses CGI very well. Majority of the time it's really hard to differentiate, it blends soo well with the 2D animation.

that's true, but some frames kind of ruined the atmosphere every now and then (curse devil)

I'm going to miss the cinematic style we had. The new animation style look a lot more fluid, which may or may not be a good thing. Personally, I liked the roughness of S1 because I found it fitting for CSM; the movie looks a lot more like Jujutsu Kaisen now...

With that said, I'm seeing a lot of action and explosions in this movie, so maybe this new style will be better suited for that.

Overall, I think the new style is neither a step up or a step down.

Well, I suppose the people who had complaints about the CG and cinematic style got what they wanted. This action is very much more in the likes of JJK with it's simplicity in art style to make the action more dynamic and fast paced. Allowing more freedom in using techniques for more fast paced and fluid action and reducing the burden of drawing details.

All it took was the boot the TV series director out and abandon is grounded cinematic style and reliance on CG. I didn't endorse that honestly, I found the CG to be high quality and the creative choice to deviate from traditional Shounen animation refreshing.
However, seeing this quality and animation style and comparing it to season 1: maybe the haters were right. This is really, really, really, fucking fantastic.

It's been a while since I've hyped up anything that is anime related, but this one already deserves all the praise and hype. It's easily my second favorite CSM arc and (based on the trailer) I can safely say this will be an intense sakuga fest, though I hope they won't butcher the deeper and more meaningful contents in comparison.

Actually nuts to see this all right before I head to bed, so happy to see it.

Also I really liked S1’s direction minus albeit the very iffy CGI, I’m going to miss that style yet I’m still insanely fucking hyped for this.

And cry myself to sleep when I get back from the theatre.

something is fishy, I don't trust mappa, same studio that made a 2d pv for attack on titan only to give us shitty cgi. At least the director is different but it's the same guy who was the action director in s1 and the result was ass.

Yeah, like before, it looks very fluid and sakugafest so I pretty much have complete faith in Yoshihara to do this movie justice being better than Nakayama but even then, Nakayama still did a splendid job with CSM S1 imho.

Now onward to 2025 greatness in just some days!
