What are our expectations from the JUMP FESTA 2025

Yeah, it would be lovely a Vinland saga s3. I’m literally going through the series now, now watching s2.

Yeah, it's definitely possible that JJK S3 production has started. Though I don't think it'll come out before 2026.
Dorohedero, Vinland Saga and Hell's Paradise all have different animation teams and are not connected with CSM or JJK. So, I think we'll very likely get some updates regarding these next year.

Vinland Saga s3 definitely depends on Twin Engine not Mappa.

The producer for Vinland Saga. They fund Vinland Saga and have complete control it's production. They decide if they want to make s3 or not. Shuhei Yabuta, the director of both s1&2 of Vinland Saga is currently an executive at Mappa. When Twin Engine greenlights s3. it'll happen with the utmost care that s2 was produced under

JJK season 2 Vol. 1 bluray sold 26,512 copies in its first week, that's crazy success. So it's really likely that they will spend more time and resources on getting the season 3 as soon as possible with high quality to stay in the hype instead of distributing the talent to a series which only sold 1735. JJK Season 2 (which is their biggest IP) suffered because of CSM, so them prioritizing JJK over CSM makes sense, bcz if csm is hindering the quality of jjk, otsuka wouldn't repeat the same mistake as he did before

@LIVI___ Except that MAPPA itself gets all the profit possible from CSM, the same cannot be said for JJK. It gets heavier marketing because it's led by a major company that is Toho, but generally speaking the most logical approach is to focus on the series that brings the most to THEM.

@Oongbuh But that doesn't mean it's more profitable to mappa. JJK's profit despite being shared probably introduces more income to mappa than the entirety of csm, since the ceo was dissapointed that CSM didn't reach the success of JJK, he wouldn't have brought up jjk if CSM was more or equally profitable to them. Which anime is more profitable is pretty irrelevant to the actual discussion and may divert the conversation to something else. All i'm saying this to keep the expectations low because the probability of not getting a trailer is higher than probability of getting a trailer. I brought up the sales tp support the argument on why mappa prioritizing jjk over csm is more likely and could be the reason why csm won't get a trailer soon

@Oongbuh mappa also bore all the cost though, including the ridiculous marketing. lets be honest, for the time, resources and investment mappa poured for csm, it ridiculously underperformed.

also blureray sales entirely belongs to the studio, producers have no share in it. so mappa made heavy profit from jjk blueray sales while investing just a fraction of series capital

That sounds completely stupid and highly debatable. The production committee will often be the one in charge of production and distribution of physical media to begin with, so the idea that these particular sales wouldn't go to them smells like major BS.

@Oongbuh lol the copium is insane, many studios which used to animate show on contract basis accepted the show because of high blue ray revenue cut(especially pre streaming era), the primary example being aot. the only reason wit did s2 was because of high bd sales in s1, they wanted to drop the show after s1 itself as the were not in production comittee.
