Are we actually getting a new trailer? Since no one from the production team has said anything about revealing one, don't you find that odd? I don't think we’re actually getting a new trailer. They definitely would have made an announcement to boost ticket sales and hype for the event.

Also, why would MAPPA reveal the trailer at Jump Festa? If they reveal it there, what will they show at MAPPA STAGE? What I mean is, if MAPPA saves the Chainsaw Man trailer for MAPPA STAGE 2025 instead, it would benefit them more.

I know Chainsaw Man is part of the Red Stage at the event, which I’ve heard is pretty huge thing. But you should also consider other anime that got the Red Stage: Jujutsu Kaisen, One Piece, My Hero Academia, Spy x Family, Kaiju No. 8, and Dragon Ball. These are all just big series so maybe that could be the reason of it being a red stage, and just getting the Red Stage doesn’t necessarily mean we’ll see trailers for upcoming projects.

I hope everything I said is wrong because I’m also insanely hyped for the csm movie. I have this unhealthy obsession of checking the mal forums for csm every 12 hours expecting news to drop in. Share you thoughts and opinion of this!

EDIT: btw sorry i made a minor mistake it's actually jump festa 2024. I accidentally wrote 2025 by thinking of mappa stage 2025

We should get a new trailer considering the first announcement teaser dropped a year ago. Plus it has been leaked several times that the movie will come out next year.
The team also needs to work on JJK S3 as soon as they finish this movie so I think the movie has been completed or almost near completion. So getting a trailer is pretty likely.

It’s definitely already in production if the teaser was released practically a year ago. I think the release of the movie happening around 2025 isn’t completely out of the question.

Need a properly animated trailer at this point I’ve heard that Yoshihara will be working on the movie and s2 onwards so I’m pretty sure that Csm is in good hands it’ll look beautiful when it does come out and blow minds just as s1 did.

Knowing Mappa, they probably already started working on S3.
I wish we could get some news about Dorohedoro and Vinland Saga.

Yeah, it would be lovely a Vinland saga s3. I’m literally going through the series now, now watching s2.

@WeebQira I´m actually more excited for S3 of VS then JJk. But I´m not betting on any of them coming out in 2025.

Yeah, it's definitely possible that JJK S3 production has started. Though I don't think it'll come out before 2026.
Dorohedero, Vinland Saga and Hell's Paradise all have different animation teams and are not connected with CSM or JJK. So, I think we'll very likely get some updates regarding these next year.

The producer for Vinland Saga. They fund Vinland Saga and have complete control it's production. They decide if they want to make s3 or not. Shuhei Yabuta, the director of both s1&2 of Vinland Saga is currently an executive at Mappa. When Twin Engine greenlights s3. it'll happen with the utmost care that s2 was produced under

@Anime_Skaddiel Had no idea about that. I really hope they approve not just S3 but the complete adaptation, since the manga is already ending soon.

NAH, I don't think we're getting a trailer. JJK revealed about it getting a big announcement on jump festa but we still don't have any news for csm, the team would have definitely said something to hype up the event. The teaser being 1 year old means absolutely nothing, it might probably be released on MAPPA STAGE 2025 which will prolly be on may 2025. Keeping your expectations low is the best thing you can do rn, you will not be disappointed and if things go right you would be blessed unexpectedly.

Assuming that tatsuya yoshihara is directing this movie i find it highly unlikely that a trailer would be released on jump festa. since it's only been 2 months since wistoria finished airing and he directed and storyboarded 2 episodes of it, they prolly didn't progress too much in the production yet to be releasing a new trailer.

JJK season 2 Vol. 1 bluray sold 26,512 copies in its first week, that's crazy success. So it's really likely that they will spend more time and resources on getting the season 3 as soon as possible with high quality to stay in the hype instead of distributing the talent to a series which only sold 1735. JJK Season 2 (which is their biggest IP) suffered because of CSM, so them prioritizing JJK over CSM makes sense, bcz if csm is hindering the quality of jjk, otsuka wouldn't repeat the same mistake as he did before

@LIVI___ Except that MAPPA itself gets all the profit possible from CSM, the same cannot be said for JJK. It gets heavier marketing because it's led by a major company that is Toho, but generally speaking the most logical approach is to focus on the series that brings the most to THEM.

@Oongbuh But that doesn't mean it's more profitable to mappa. JJK's profit despite being shared probably introduces more income to mappa than the entirety of csm, since the ceo was dissapointed that CSM didn't reach the success of JJK, he wouldn't have brought up jjk if CSM was more or equally profitable to them. Which anime is more profitable is pretty irrelevant to the actual discussion and may divert the conversation to something else. All i'm saying this to keep the expectations low because the probability of not getting a trailer is higher than probability of getting a trailer. I brought up the sales tp support the argument on why mappa prioritizing jjk over csm is more likely and could be the reason why csm won't get a trailer soon

@LIVI___ You say "which is more profitable is irrelevant" while literally using sales as the biggest argument. Choose one.

@Oongbuh Yes bcz i am just not trying to shift the topic on "which series profits mappa more" because it will be more like a jjk vs csm debate. It's not my biggest argument but if you're putting a strong emphasis on that argument then i stand by my point. JJK is prolly more profitable to mappa. If we go by the dvd sales alone for the first week, both the blurays volume have about the same pricing, If you assume a hypothetical situation where MAPPA gets 100% from the revenue generated by sale of csm dvd, and in other case it gets 10% of the revenue generated from the JJK dvd sales. JJK would still be more profitable than CSM.
I did some calculation and found out "MAPPA needs at least 6.544% of JJK's revenue for its revenue from JJK to equal that from CSM(assuming they're get 100% revenue)." That's from the first volume, JJK got more volume and also it's second volume sold 26,558 copies which was a bit more than it's first volume.

@Oongbuh mappa also bore all the cost though, including the ridiculous marketing. lets be honest, for the time, resources and investment mappa poured for csm, it ridiculously underperformed.

also blureray sales entirely belongs to the studio, producers have no share in it. so mappa made heavy profit from jjk blueray sales while investing just a fraction of series capital

That sounds completely stupid and highly debatable. The production committee will often be the one in charge of production and distribution of physical media to begin with, so the idea that these particular sales wouldn't go to them smells like major BS.

@Oongbuh lol the copium is insane, many studios which used to animate show on contract basis accepted the show because of high blue ray revenue cut(especially pre streaming era), the primary example being aot. the only reason wit did s2 was because of high bd sales in s1, they wanted to drop the show after s1 itself as the were not in production comittee.

one of the major reason mappa took aot is because they were given seat in production comittee

@watchkeepe_r24 wrong. Prod. IG was in high position for AOT production comittee from WIT side. WIT CEO clearly mentioned they wanted to make a full adaptation.

@watchkeepe_r24 "IG ate profit".
WIT belongs to IG port. George Wada, Ishikawa, Hitoshi Ito are literally producers.

"they didn't even knew if s2 would be greenlight"
Their plan was only 1 season to begin with. Are you saying they decided to do full adaptation after BD sales flopped lmao. You are spreading misinfo while CEO says otherwise.

@Washizo dude what the hell are you even talking about? first you say they wanted to adapt fully and now you're saying there was only one season. stop contradicting yourself.

Mappa is the one got less money

if that was the case they would'nt have divided final season into trillion parts and make a fucking compilation movie to milk even more
