| So many Titles with blue like Blue Exorcist, blue lock, blue giant, Blue Period, and Blue Spring Ride, Blue seeds, Blue legs, blue submarine.. I think it's Probably because Japan is surrounded by blue oceans and that gave a sense of wonder and introspection that aligns with the emotional and narrative depth the Anime Creator's aim to convey.? Even Japan national sports team's uniforms are all blue and they are nicknamed the blue Samurai.. Another reason I think In Japanese , “青” (ao), often translated as "blue," which means youth or freshness. May be they use this double meaning of “blue” an evocative choice for anime titles because anime is mostly aimed at youths. Is there a clear cut reason you know why so many anime titles have the word blue? |
| My guess is that it puts it near the top when the titles are alphabetized? It the same deal with other primary colors too though look up the number of things that have Black (kuro) in the title. |

| Probably just availability bias. A lot of anime that happen to have the word "blue" in the title also happen to be pretty popular, so it just seems more common than it actually is. Also you forgot Grand Blue. |

Aoi in the past also meant green as well as blue, midori which means green is relatively new.. It bothers me enough to be curious why is that there is so much blue in the titles of anime.. |

| I can tell you at least one of the reasons Blue Exorcist has that name is because the mc is an exorcist with blue flames. That one seems pretty self explanatory. I suppose we could get into the reasons as to why the flames are blue though. |
