@meganimeman you cannot be telling me that the setting having rapists means that her actions are fine... youbdo realise there are rapists in real life, right? You know this isn't just some wayward trope, soldiers from all different countries are documented as raping people they fight against and civilians.

If we're extrapolating offscreen interactions then all we have to go off of are the onscreen ones, which tells me that they've not talked about anything meaningful at all...

So moot point on all fronts, thank you very much.

What could they have been talking about offscreen ?
1. Discard Seras' clothes in Gartland's gang blood, to cover their tracks and make people think she's dead.
2. Find a way to hide their identity with masks.

In both cases you need some discussion and interaction with each others. And in both cases it adds something to Seras' feelings because she knows Touka does this to protect her... after he saved her life.

Saving the life of someone can be enough to make that person fell in love with you.

@Nasa290704 I'm suggesting rape and other heinous acts are a lot more prevalent there, and in some cases, legal (slavery/gladiators). I suppose you have a point regarding war crimes; adventurers have some similarities with soldiers and those dragon riders were part of an army. Still, applying our morals 1:1 doesn't make much sense. The clothes sniffing was pretty innocent, anyways, at least when it was right in front of her.

First it was "barely spoken at all" and now it's "talked about anything meaningful". The goal posts are moving, it seems. They've talked about their pasts and future plans, but they definitely haven't discussed anime.

theyve barely talked, and what theyve said hasn't been meaningful. So telling me that based on the passage if time that "they mustve talked more" doesn't help the case that they don't have a close relationship. if they didn't just say more meaningless stuff, then it wouldve been in the story because it would've been better dialogue than we have.

I don't know why you think its a good argument to say that this isekai world is less moral. So what. It doesn't change anything. Its an especially irrelevant point to bring up when what shes doing is a personal and private choice, meaning theres no possibility of coercion involved at all.

From what we know, they speak a lot off screen. Seras is aware of Touka's identity, goal and reasons, because he told her his story after they kill Gartland.
Did they spoke about it on screen ? No, it was mentionned afterward.

Who cares if they "barely talked" ?
Toka saved her :
*In the forest --> From the 4 guys who wanted to rape her then kill her (and considering she was exhausted and it was 4vs1, she would have probably lost),
*He helped her/saved her in the dungeon (even if she's not aware of everything),
*He didn't lie to her and give her a job when she didn't have money (He was true to his word and give her a lot of money),
*He even gave her the rewards for the dungeon,
*When the illusion broke and everyone was hunting her, he didn't abandon her, he went to look out for her, saved her from rape/death, then saved her against the other top dragon guys and the humanity strongest,

All the while he didn't try to blackmail her/or do anything "weird" to her when it seems 95% of male in this world want to abuse her,

So... Saving her multiple times, giving her a job/goal, while never lying to her and never trying to do anything "ecchi" to her... Well, if it wasn't "enough" for a woman to fall in love with someone, then, 99.9% of people would never find love.

Also, who cares about her sniffing some clothes ? She took an oath in her underwear of "release Touka from his curse"... just one minute after basically telling him he could sleep with her if he just said the word and Touka saying he was attracted to her but it would have to wait after his goal is achieved (Are you resistant to temptation ? // I might be resistant for now). Basically the oath means : "I would do my best so we can sleep together asap".

It's kinda funny that people are criticizing that the elf girl would fall in love with Touka (after everything he did for her) when they didn't mind that in How I Met Your Mother, Barney getting laid by showing ten seconds of a magic trick or other stuff. Talk about double standard.

this episode first Seras fawns over the guy. Next Seras fawns over him. THen she sniffs his clothes and fawns over him. A little bit of exposition and investigation for their quest, then Seras fawns over Touka. After 1 week break... or 2 not sure

Seras was down horrendously today, “assault me!” 😭 even when she not being assaulted she’s begging for it man wtf. PHRASING. Then sniffing Tooka’s coat, that’s next level down horrendously. Tooka is too caught up in his quest for revenge to even notice shit like that understandably, but it’s cute seeing Seras become aware of him as a man. Also does she not have pants to sleep in lol?

The bloodsport coliseum situation is pretty interesting, I wonder who is the child that the leopardman is trying to free. surely related to the witch of taboos right?

Animation was much better this week, only cgi I noticed was Seras shadow when she was practicing her swordsmanship in the inn so that’s a plus. I’m sure for the bloodsport fights next week we’ll get a lot of it tho..

Good episode, it was pretty close to being a Netorare/Hentai episode hahaha
Sooner or later they were going to explore the relationship between Ashrain and Touka... and almost "explore" it with a lot of enthusiasm haha
I find it somewhat funny that Touka highlights her thirst for revenge whenever she can, but it doesn't convince me, she lacks more "power" in the sense of improving the animation, changing the voice, background music, etc.
Because of this, I feel like it's basic and unimportant although it goes well with this anime, it's not a big deal by any means but it is entertaining.
