| I thought it was pretty solid 1st episode, but it is not one of my favorites in my mind. I would say it was pretty good overall definitely will finish the season for sure as it stands. AOT and To Your Eternity are still at the top, but this isn't that far behind for me. What did you think compared to other 1st episodes? |

Definitely not the best I’ve seen but definitely good. The concept looks like it has a lot of potential so I’m pretty interested. You're not going to find any other show that has Character Acting every single second unless it's wonder egg. |

| A solid first episode but by no means close to being one of the best anime first episodes I've seen. |
| Mid-6, the CGI isn't the worst thing in the world but it's not impressive either, and for some reason they really like to hang on some close-ups of it. It works for faster fight scenes. The fight felt kind of slow and clunky too, where in the manga it was practically a gore tornado. You can tell this is a newbie director. I hope it picks up soon, the OP and all the animation and shots outside of the fight scene were gorgeous |

| The first chapter is actually my favourite chapter, and I think mappa not only nailed it, but elevated it. I really couldn't have asked for anything more. 9.5/10 |

| Contenwise about a 6 out of 10, I'd say. The adaptation however is between 8,5-9/10 @samsince04 Lol. I think I also said once that even Tokyo Ghould had a better hook than this series. Unfortunately it went downhill later. |
