Another intense chapter focused on Suou and Arata. We only got a short glimpse of the queen match towards the end,

I honestly like Suou way more than Arata, so I wouldn't mind him coming out on top...probably won't though, same thing with the Queen's match.

Shinobu > Chihaya anyway.

Yeah, that was quite unexpected.

Suou breaks my heart in this chapter. I have big déjà vu vibes of 205, even the peonies symbol of bravery are drawn again. The moment they find their most precious feelings, Arata is there to crush them.....it's hard to root for Arata tbh.

Now bring on Chihaya! fingers crossed.

At present the score appears to be 14-17 Suou and 16-21 Shinobu The Suo/Arata dynamic was interesting Suo still does not believe that Arata can become Meijin On the other hand he does not believe that there is any place for him in karuta if he does not win He believes that his 5 titles were the only reason he was accepted by the karuta community Now they have their little favorite Arata to take his place He is not about to give up

Arata sees that Suo is trying to get him to make mistakes but he is going to play his own way no matter the result He also believes that Suo is lying to himself about hating karuta as he watches him checking his cards

Sudo who loves Suo and karuta finds a blind teacher whose love of karuta attracts people who would not otherwise care about the game

Re last volume it is not clear how many chapters will be in the last volume Takahashi had 10 chapters in many of her volumes Many of the manga which are finishing now have extra chapters after the last chapter like 250.4 which act like epilogues
