looking at spring 2022 list. i thought this would be atleast beside shield hero, kaguya but it's all the way down.
and what's up with thiese generic looking animes doing up there? Kakkou no Iinazuke? looks like your average rom-com show.

Am i wrong or spy x is not that popular enough?

I am not sure what's going on but Wit Studio x Cloverworks and the manga seems to have a decently high rating. Might be more popular by the Spring comes around.

Spy x family was at the 8th position in the best selling manga of 2021.It is highly popular and highly rated in japan.But don't know the reason why it is at a low place in the anime list of spring.

alot of people don’t add things to there list until it airs so the members now don’t really reflect much and shield hero s2 and kaguya s3 have been announced for ages and have previous well loved and popular seasons, so I wouldn’t expect an anime that has only been announced about 4 months ago to be up there with them.

It is a bit more niche than Kaguya and Shield Hero since only manga onlies are aware of it currently. Once it airs, it will likely get way more popular.

Once the anime starts airing, it will catch up for sure, so I wouldn’t worry too much m.

Just wait for its release, manga is really great and the adaption will be too. Check it again after anime Release.

It currently has almost 100k members, it seems like the member count is glitched for it at the moment. If you look at how many users currently have it in their Plan to Watch, it shows the actual number of members.

it is glitched if you look at the memebers it only says around 35k but if you scroll down and look at the number of people that have it added to plan to watch its above 100k

dw it will get popular once the Spring season starts getting attention, we just starting Winter season so many ppl are just focused on ongoing animes rn

It’s probably because it’ll be the first season, most the other ones are follow up seasons so people who are only anime watchers don’t know about spy x family, as someone who hasn’t read the manga I can vouch for this, I only know it’s coming up because of tik tok nonetheless I’m looking forward to it :)

The second trailer has over 3 million views on Crunchyroll's youtube channel, I don't remember another debut anime with such numbers after Chainsaw man.

Lmao..even the number of members is just 110k rn, it should have been around 150k at this moment. Well seems like the glitch is responsible by keeping it down and hence users cant find it at 1st sight

Usually new anime will get shadowed by big sequels. In the case of Kaguya sama and Shield Hero, people have been waiting years for these sequels, so compared to a new anime that people heard of recently, it'll have more hype. Still there's tons of people super excited for Spy x Family, and it's most likely going to be really popular once it begins airing.

Sabikui Bisco was on low position before its release, but what happened after its 5th episode? It became 5th most popular anime of the season, even surpassed sequel animes like Vanitas and Realist Hero.

The popularity will rise up when Spring comes. Shield Hero already had an established fanbase so it shouldn't be a surprise why it's above.

I feel like a lot of people are excited for this and me and my friends have bought some of the volumes because of some of the hype. I feel like it will rise like how Sabikui Bisco has risen this season but jus more rapidly nearer the time.
