| A good episode, but the pacing feels a bit off |

| So so so many terrible parents in one series. Motoko's smile when she wished Sakuragi for to be happy as well was so cute. So was the hospital scene with Hiro, Hinata, and their mom. |
| This is simply a fake-deep tearjeker, not even remotely as genuine as S2. |

| Everything about Machi & Yuki has my heart beating like doki doki. I've always had a soft spot for Motoko. Even as comical as her antics were, it's heartwarming to see how she can get closure by interacting with Yuki normally at graduation. It's especially endearing when Nao reaches out to her and she's able to pass on the same feelings that she received from Yuki to Nao (although maybe the shorty wouldn't like that part). |

| Machi's backstory is just heartbreaking... Used by her mother as a toy to just show up, and after all the work she had, her own mother brushed off her efforts when she got the son she always wanted... And the fact that they were so against Machi that just straigh out thought she was trying to kill her own brother, when in reality she was only trying to make him warmer... "What am I going to do, if I'm something you got wrong?" has to be the strongest and saddest quote of the episode. We almost got a Kiss here though, between Machi and Yuki! Yuki's fangirl speech was really touching, and just goes to show that a person can be so special to you that can change your life for the better, even in a para-social relationship. Really appreciated this moment, and I think it was really important for Yuki to hear that he was really important to somenone. And she was the crush of Sakuragi! Wow, seeing some of characters already graduating, I'm feeling old. Time really has passed, the protagonists are going to their last year of high school. Now, WHAT WAS THAT LAST SCENE? DID THAT CRAZY AKITO CUT ISUZU'S HAIR? LIKE, WHAT?! Also, I'm surprised that she's actually 1 year older that Tohru and the others, didn't know that, and I'm surprised that she actually completed the year, she barely went to school. Also, I think that Akito really cut her hair, because if you look closely in the ending you can see Isuzu has short hair! I'm worried on how this will impact Isuzu's mental health... I guess Akito discovered she was working with Ren. Talking about the ending, isn't it full of spoilers? I'm not a manga reader, but it just seems to be they spoiled all of the final couples in the ending, even before we knew that, for example, Shigure and Akito were a thing. Well, I guess there's more to the story than that, but it's still weird it looks so plain full of spoilers. The opening also suffers from that, but not as much as the ending in my opinion. Edit: Forgot to mention, but why is Momiji looking so different in the opening and ending? Is he going to have some drastic character change in this new year to come? I suppose something about being able to be with his sister, but he looks much more mature in a sense. I'm curious to see what's going to happen, but I was certainly not expecting such a drastic change in him. Either way, super excited to continue Fruits Basket, but the more episodes I watch, the closer I am to the end of it :( |
| Yuki x Machi still do nothing for me. I get what they're trying to do. Guy who has a facade of perfection with a girl who hates it due to the pressure to be perfect. But... I don't know, it just wasn't well written imo. They're having sweet moments now, so I guess it's a start. But I'm just not feeling it. |
| What kind of parents were they?! I hope Machi won't reconcile with them. They sound so toxic to be parents. It's sad that in the end, the comfort she ever found was with someone whom she wasn't related to. It goes to show that blood is not really that important. It's how people treat you. |

| The part when Yuki broke the chalk for Machi was so cute. After receiving the love and care he was longing for, he is ready to give back. He wants to be needed. Is that bitch Akito holding Rin captive? Did she cut he long beautiful hair because she's jealous? Is Hinata the rooster? |
