It's clear that the past events of The Dirty Dawg are henceforth reaching towards the finale between Mad Trigger Crew and Matenrou, with Samatoki desperately wanting to rescue his sister from the hands of the Party of Words, and Jakurai's desire to heal the patients he's been unable to heal.

Well, don't just say it, RAP LIKE YOU MEAN IT! The final battle between Mad Trigger Crew and Matenrou, and a very bombastic one at that.

Jyuto vs. Doppo, Rio vs. Hifumi, and leaders Samatoki vs. Jakurai, the opener rap battles to test each other's strengths...the battle of pure strength vs. bonds.
Even with Jakurai's battle regenerating recovery skill, what an intense battle to rap through.

Through thick and thin...

I knew Matenrou becomes champion because I saw original source result two years ago.
Each bonds are firm and powerful. I'm glad I could listen part lyrics of "DEATH RESPECT" (Samatoki: I’m gonna dump the three of you in your own hospital). I'm frustrated MTC lost final round but I continue to support them. MTC FTW.

I'll be honest, to me this felt rather anticlimactic. Not the episode, the first half was ok for storytime, but the battle itself... I dunno. Kinda hectic and all over the place, lacking cohesion. It's supposed to be a final battle, for the title of champion, and yet I barely felt any energy in it, rather just... fizzles. Having those interruptions probably didn't help, and trying to follow the nonsensical lyrics probably made it even worse. Still, I expected a bigger bang.

I'm glad that Matenro wins, even though Samatoki is my most favorite appearance in anime, but he need to lose to change his cocky attitude, he need someone to dominate him, someone like me...

Don’t forget about Buster Bros and Fling Posse. Since there’s animosity and rivalry between Samatoki and Ichiya. Ramuda is directly involved. It’s why Fling Posse had to leave to Shibuya after the match.

I hope they animate Dirty Dawgs as a prologue episode to explain all this drama. Matenro only won because of the doctor’s superior healing and mic skills. Mad Trigger Crew is still pretty strong.

I wish they would of added rose vines to the host’s mic CGI. Having rose vines lash out of the field in CGI instead of just roses would of looked cooler.

Well, we have 2 episodes remaining, so the past occurrences of The Dirty Dawg may soon surface enough, but only time will tell. Not much of a HypMic fan, but am speculating things here, so take whatever I said with a grain of salt.

And just like that Matenro are the champions of the Division Rap Battle. The battle was a little one-sided with MTC dominating Matenro. However Matnero was able to overcome MTC's brute force by relying on their bonds and win the rap battle. Now the question is where does the anime go from here with two episodes left. Does Samatoki and the other try to find the whereabouts his sister or do the Party of Words make a move and hit them with the" Femme Fatale" track. I'll leave you guys with "Champion" trailer and I like Matenro's version of the ED.

Thats the end within the battle of the strength and the bond. While indeed Samatoki relied much to his strength, however, his team never forgot to backed him up, that made MTC bond still amazing without Samatoki's realizing it. Well, the last line indicated he trusted that. But its too late.

By the fact, Matenrou had a solid bond within them, but they also lack of a good strength. Its made them kinda late to burst out their true power. The last line of the battle indicated how Doc Jakurai realized his power to saved both of them became a massive different among their battle style. The result? Indeed, Doctor Jakurai won the last endurance fight, and without a doubt Matenrou survived with the whole battle rap. Congratulations. Its really entertaining me.

Now for the real deal, even Ramuda decided to ran away, and the problem of Samatoki still unresolved. So, lets see how well they wrapped up the last two episodes. I have a worry. But still, i am still trusting some epic end with the epic rap battle near their end. Lets see ....

I'm so happy Matenro won! All three are so sweet and as the ep pointed out, their bond is amazing. I guess it should've been obvious from the beginning that they'd win since they won the 1st Division Rap Battle in real life.

I'm looking forward to next week's ep; now that the Division battle is over, where's the story gonna go? I wanna know what's gonna happen to Fling Posse too

Still enjoying this ride as an anime only. I'm not even really into the rap music, but the visuals are so well done and appealing to look at, I don't mind.

I had a feeling Matenro would in in the end, but MTC woulda murderized them if it weren't for the Doctor's healing powers.

I will say though that Samatoki seemed weaker in this battle then how he acted in the battle against the Buster Bros? I thought his special ability was that he got stronger the more damage he took. But I guess getting attacked by a giant wolf was to OP against him hah.

Still two eps to go. I guess it'll be spent on dealing with Samatoki trying to get his sister back, what will happen to Fling Posse? I would also think Chuohku still wants to mind control the doctor because of his healing powers?

Very good episode, the power of bonds prevails over the power of strength. I think the only way Ramuda could get away from his impending doom would be to reunite the Dirty Dawgs, maybe if he tells them the truth, all their grudges will be fixed and they can face off against the Chuohku ladies.

With the rap battles finished and 2 episodes still remaining, they'll probably just focus on the stories now. Looking forward to it.

Kinda surprised Matenrou actually won given how strong MTC had started but guess I should have known better considering the obvious favoritism of bonds over strength. Though being completely honest, I think MTC has quite the strong bond between its members as well. The fact that Jyuto and Riou don't need to rely on Samatoki doesn't necessarily mean they aren't close but well.

And the winner is..!

It was a little disappointing that they used the overplayed trope of collective bonds over individual strength that is present in like every other shounen title, but I understand that they had to justify a Matenrō victory over MTC, which is a hard thing to do lol. My favorite diss this episode wasn't even one of the rap lines. It was during the pause where Samatoki said "Who're you gonna treat with your body all battered and torn, doc? There's no one in the waiting room." I thought it was a pretty good blow since he was buffing his teammates which is almost cheating.

So basically, it's a mixed media franchise so that means that the voice actors of the characters make actual CDs, hold concerts plus the characters have appeared in manga form and now, anime form. Last year, Hypnosis Mic held it's first Division Rap Battle which was basically, the music label and voice actors released songs as the characters and the public voted for their favourite group; Matenrou won and therefore they're the first winners of the Hypnosis Mic Division Rap Battle. Beginning in 2021, there will be a 2nd Rap Battle with 2 new groups as well!

The Hypnosis Mic wiki explains what the franchise is all about.

https://hypnosis-mic.fandom.com/wiki/Hypnosis_Mic_-Division_Rap_Battle-

The anime is a loose adaptation of the drama CDs and mangas that came out two years ago. The Division Rap Battles are based on real life fan interaction by voting once they purchase the Battle Rap CD's. Matenro won the first division rap two years ago by getting the most votes. So basically the fans kinda shape the narrative of Hypnosis Mic.

Hurts to see Jakurai getting hurt while trying to heal his team. I can say this episode, Matenrou is my favorite crew since it hurts to see them hurt. Well I stand corrected, Jakurai definitely has strong offense too. Happy to see them winning.
