| THIS IS AN ANIME ONLY DISCUSSION POST. DO NOT DISCUSS THE MANGA BEYOND THIS EPISODE. ---------------------------------------- It's almost been a year since S1 of this incredibly rushed and poorly paced and adapted show dropped on Netflix, and would you look at that, amidst the coronavirus pandemic and self-quarantine S2 drops! Time to binge this one as well. S1 had so much potential, and still had some good parts, but the great original story (I haven't read the manga) obviously suffered; bad art and animation and haphazard writing really took a toll, but hey, it was still an entertaining binge watch when I was fighting off the flu a year back. Also ironic that I'm stuck at home again. Netflix didn't add a summary or anything, we just jump right back into it. Really don't have much interesting to say about the first episode, aside from Ango being a total asshole and having an incredibly hard time remembering who the hell all these characters are. I do remember liking Hana in S1 and I hope she'll return. I remember some episodes in S1 being pretty memorable, like the episode which showed a flashback of a bunch of people that got secluded to some ship iirc? Was pretty fucked up. |

| Looks like the second season has arrived, but to be honest I kind of forgot part of the plot and some sidecharacters.... The concept of surviving in an unknown apocalyptic world is interesting hopefully this season has a better execution compared to last season |

| I had to re-watch the last episode of s1. I couldn't remember anything. It's slowly coming back. I probably should re-watch all of s1, but I don't have it in me. It guess Ango was pulling his gun to shoot Aramaki in the back and not on Ryo. Now we know exactly who the reaper is. I wonder if team Spring have been reaped and that's why he hasn't found them. |
