| I watched both and loved both, ofc FMAB is better than FT but FT (1st season) is really good. The 2nd and 3rd seasons are awful. So which one shall you start with? I'd prefer FT since that after u watch FMAB you'll just feel that every anime else is bad. |

| Watch hunter x hunter 2011 and jojo instead of fairy tale Fairy tale is not too bad, but there is much better long running anime |
| I recommend watching FMA 2003 before Brotherhood, but Brotherhood is much better than Fairy Tail. |

| FMAB, Fail Tail is not really worth anyones time, as it's way to childish for a battleshounen. Today, more studio's shoud pick up things from FMAB to make them great. As FMAB is a shounen that is more dark then most happy battleshounen are nowdays. Today we get shoune where friendships beat everything, we have eps with flowers and paiitng coming to live and they can dance around. But if you have the time you really shoud watch both verison fo FMA as they are both very good. |

| Obviously Fairy Tail is better. Very deep, thought provoking, complex and interesting story+characters. FMAB is purely fanservice with one dimensional characters and unoriginal story. This site is rigged and Fairy Tail has always been no.1 easily. Watch Fairy Tail and then never watch anime again, there would be nothing left to satisfy your palette. | FMA: B is the top ranked anime on mal, so that should give you a indication of how well it's liked, and for good reason. It's an amazing show. I also liked Fairy Tail, but for different reasons. I'd suggest watching FMA: B first and then move onto Fairy Tail. |

| Fairy Tail is lowkey the worst of the most popular Shounen....i mean its literally shit at almost everything. FMA:B is a fun watch and probably one of the best shows for the Shounen demographic, i dont give 2 shits about Shounen since 99% of them are recycled themes, plot and characters but FMA:B is in the 1% were it certainly has recycled themes etc. At the same time it has, for Shounen standards good worldbuilding. Its nothing spectacualar tho. Or go full circle and watch something actually good ;) a good starting point is something like Hametsu no Mars. Merry fucking Christmas. |

| Haven't watched FT so FMA:B. It's very good but not a masterpiece. Quite surprised that you compared these two animes and asked which is better, Everyone in the forums seems to hate on Fairy Tail(And everyone praises fma). So i think is kinda pointless to ask something like this since everyone would do anything but praise fma and shit on FT(fma:b is top 1 and FT is somewhere in the thousands i think). Actually i'm more surprissed by the fact that people actually voted for Fairy Tail, I always tought that the series was considered one of the worse of its genre, But i can't jugde on that matter since i haven't watched it anyways. |

| Watch both versions of FMA and maybe throw in HxH if you have time. Don't waste your time with Fairy Tail. It gets progressively worse and the characters are as cookie-cutter as they come. |

| Not really a fan of either series, but Fairy Tail is one of the worst shows I have ever seen. I also wouldn't recommend FMAB, but if it seems like something you like, it should be fine enough. It didn't offend me as much as Fairy Tail. |

| Even though I watched both titles, my vote goes to Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood. Reason being, the story has deeper impact than Fairy Tail which overused the "Friendship" trope. |
