Since I've heard good stuff of this manga, what could be the best fitting studio.. to this adaptation?

My hope:

Shaft or JC Staff.

Reality: probably DEEN although that's not a bad thing if they can adapt this like Sakamoto-kun.

Lmao if it were to be Silver Link (god forbid) then this is doomed lol (I guess?)

I am not fond of J.C staff but they can do a better job than Deen and Silver Link.

Other than that, I guess A-1 pictures might do it since they are now making around 70% of the animes per season

As much I praised DEEN for their KonoSuba works, I don't want my favorite manga Hinamatsuri to be adapted by them. I'd rather have J.C. Staff to do it Index/Railgun style or A-1 pictures.

And I don't think Shaft would work that much, I can't imagine Hina or Anzu or Hitomi having those head tilts at all... it could probably work on Kaguya-sama, but definitely not Hinamatsuri.

I just hope the studio will do the anime justice and bring us the godly Hitomi in all her glory.

I've enjoyed the manga for a long time. Just discovered that it was getting an adaptation.
I just hope they adapt it gracefully - It's no joke to transition a gag manga to anime form.

I absolutely adore the manga so my hype level is off the chart right now. Learning that this has an anime coming out is such a wonderful surprise.

Love the manga, tbh I just want a director that does comedy well, like one of the first Gintama directors, the ones that did Osomatsu, Sakamoto and Daily lives of Highschool boys.

Oh boy, the studio got announced and it's feel. I can't say I like them very much, but it could've been way worse, in a way, I'm glad it isn't someone way worse like a cheap studio that barely started putting out full length shows or something like that.

Key visual looks pretty eh??, but it's just a key visual. And yes, it's an obvious reference.

Staff
Director: Kei Oikawa (Oregairu S2, Outbreak Company, Minami-ke Okaeri)
Series Composition,Script: Keiichirou Ohchi (He did scripts for a couple of Aikatsu! episodes)
Character Designer: Kanetoshi Kamimoto (Dagashi Kashi)
Music: Yasuhiro Misawa (Gabriel Dropout)

I wish we would've gotten an ex-Gintama director, but this guy will do, hopefully he doesn't mess it up. Overall I have a good feeling about this because at least studio feel don't take on a million projects in every season, this will be their main focus for the first half of 2018 at least.

Feel only makes around maybe 1-2 shows per year so the very least they focus on the shows that they need to do which is fine.

Staff looks promising enough and it does give some expectations as well. Because the director is good (he can do SoL and drama well), not too familiar with the script writer but I heard good things about Aikatsu. The designer is fine, not a big ass fan but I do like the previous which was from Dagashi Kashi. Music? Hmm, alright I suppose.

Overall its kind of an decent to good staff listing.

Yeah, all things considered, this went pretty well. It does have chances of being genuinely great. The fact that it is feel in charge of it is reassuring, because they are at the top of the lower tier studios and at least they don't do more anime than they can deal with on a yearly basis, which is a big deal.

Me too. I hope they choose a good format that's not too rushed. Each chapter kind of needs a lot of attention because the comedy is more of a slow-building type. So I hope they can capture that kind of atmosphere and also the heartwarming parts accurately too.

Feel have become quite a formidable studio with Tsuki ga kirei and Dagashi Kashi s1. But it might be tricky to adapt the humor from Hinamatsuri, so I hope the director is up to the task. This could be amazing.

Director for this show is Kei Oikawa, who worked on Oregairu Zoku, KonoBi, and Outbreak Company. He has good experience with comedy based on his works, so there are some hopes that this could be a good adaptation. Overall, he is probably the best director studio Feel has. And I'm saying this because they're one of my favorite studios, and I believe that they are a studio riddled with great potential.

#18 in popularity in seasonal chart ATM.

I want to watch it explode when the spring season starts. The competition looks tough, but I'm calling it right now: sleeper hit of the season.

making myanimelist account just to show my dissatisfaction toward the fact that this anime will only get 12 episode
my reason is because this anime while it's not look like it, it's a manga which all chapters are connected in chronological order
from hina's arrival in to anzu's new parent, everything are connected
but somehow they can and show mao which we(manga readers) know won't appear until far(like chapter 40 or more iirc)
this anime will either be rushed like mad or the chronological part thrown off out the window
sorry if there's any part that is hard to understand because of my bad englando

So far the only change I've seen is that they seem to be cutting out some Oyabun scenes.

Since the hospital scene looks like it's been mixed with the food poisoning scene.

Now that could just be very careful scene manipulation, but it's pretty likely they're condensing some of the more unimportant and stand-alone scenes and removing some, like the Fishing trip, probably.

Likely just to get a snappier beginning and get to the introductions for Anzu and Hitomi quicker.

Still that is troubling to include Mao.

If there was anything worth cutting, it was Mao. Save that train wreck for Season 2, where it's actually slightly relevant.
