| THIS IS A MANGA ONLY DISCUSSION POST. DO NOT DISCUSS ANYTHING BEYOND THIS CHAPTER. ---------------------------------------- Quite an interesting chapter especially in regards with the study of spirits. Artificial spirit is one such factor and I found a lot of the concept building to be quite something. I believe it's possible to cure East. Understanding the entire universe though? That's a whole different story. |

| ohhh, rei was the master strange that forge, it is as if they are using spirits as fuel wonder what other uses spirits have in that age (and still wonder which age that is) spirit energy production is more clean than material energy production xD even if messing with spirits seems a bit eerie oh shit, foruna was likely just joking when he talked about using persons as spirit fuel, but that is soo similar to what happened later... mmm, given fortuna was so knowledgeable it's odd he didn't knew artificial human spirits were banned if he really didn't that was an hard hit lol that crazy pannel and so he created the spirit circle.. ...wonder if by "cure" fortuna means "cure from material life"... |

| Well, that answers why Fortuna said a few chapters back why Fuuta doesn't needed Rei anymore, it's because she was his teacher. I thought Fortuna was really trying to save East (I don't think Fortuna sees East as a friend), but the panel with his big smile tells something totally different, like he would let East die for his own selfish (and evil?) purposes. |

| Determined to create a cure to save East, he's overjoyed of doing research. Remembering his past with his Master, as a kid when she showed him spirit matter, he wondered if spirits could be created, and she responded he was half-right. Talking to himself he hypothesis' if it gets made from the seven levels. Flambe, older than Fortuna mistakenly calling his master, aunt for a brief moment before correcting himself, brings him three scrolls, but Master tells him to get the fifth for his knowledge. After a year of feeling inferior, Flambe had started avoiding Fortuna out of jealousy. People called the Master, Master Rei, even though that wasn't her name but as a sign of the goddess of Victory and Achievement. Thinking back on the past, when they go to the goddess Rei's statue, with her attendant fairy Rune destroyed who was like a daughter to the goddess. Master tells them of how she refused marriage to study and wishes she would have married When Fortuna and his Master went to an Engineer for his spirit forge, he had notice the ghost of a girl. In the forge, there were many possessed rocks, which Fortuna stole one. Fortuna saves East from a beating. They briefly talk of East joining a new school and Fortuna talks about his research with the rock spirit. When Fortuna presents to his master his creation of Rune from the spirit of a girl, the rock and part of his soul, she expels him for this as taboo and warns him to stop as it leads to danger. When she passed away, she never rebuked his researched and only wished to see his face, so without knowing what he would of asked or said, he continued his research with please and created the spirit circle... "An unclassified and almighty spirit matter. A dimensional ring of interference." Even though Koko doesn't understand it, when she looks at the structural formula, she's scared of it when Rune asks. |
| Nice to see what he was up to before he got expelled. Flambe's intense jealousy started here, too. Haven't see him in Fuuta's life yet. Hopefully he's living peacefully somewhere and not burning something down. His master feared that he was playing with something too important and sacred. Guess she wasn't wrong about people like that becoming madmen. I got a little Full Metal Alchemist vibe from this. And the Spirit Circle is made. How's he planning to save East with it- oh shoot... He's going to kill him isn't he?! Smart of Koko to look into it. Will she able to stop Fortuna? Probably not but I'm looking forward to how this mad scientist meets his end. |
