| There were bits of plot in the first season, but the second season of Ah My Buddha really opened up with actual plot. So the issue is Ikkou having immense power, but if he relies too much on activating his powers via perversion, he risks succumbing to negative desires and becoming a danger to others. This was kind of implied where he lunges at the girls after activating his powers and going full pervert mode, but he really does go out of control and risks harming even his allies. There's also a power struggle amidst the temple administration, so that's a thing as well. |
