It began life as a stage play by Nakashima Kazuki, the screenwriter for Tengen Toppa Gurenn Lagann and Kill la Kill. He later worked with Madhouse to turn it into an animated series. |

You should reconsider Yomigaeru Sora, because you probably never even read the synopsis. It's not about the military or 'just a dude flying a plane', it's about natural disasters, intense situations, well done drama and trying to save people. One of the best underrated gems you'll find on MAL. It was released as short movies in japland medias but somehow failed in sells and they eventually stopped making it. I honestly don't know why, since I really enjoyed its mood and stories... besides, I don't think I'll ever see anything as "unique" as that. Good luck finding it, tho. |
