before timeskip this was great i believe. i dont remember but i believe there was a lot of love and care put into it. after timeskip arcs have horrendous pacing where scenes are dragged on for weeks even months. OP are great but i skipped those since they are 3 minutes long. plus there is a 5 minute recap. LMAO. cast of characters are awesome. fun seein crew interact. fights & power system is great. majority of arcs are great. worldbuild is huge. lotta history. prefer pre timeskip. crisp animation. for its longevity it gets a 9/10 for being able to drag every episodes. for the anime overall itself, it gets a 7/10. adaptation could be better which is why Wit Studio is gonna carry One Piece on its back.

continuing off from part 1. fights are solid. its time for the shinigami comeback. this arc is hyped up. this arc is same as arrancar/visored arc. difference is its shinigami vs quincies. lots of screen time shinigami dies and/or gets powered up. mc of course getting that boost. his friends as well can't forget about them.

everyone is playing for themselves and wants to be the best. but they cannot win alone so teamwork is involved. gotta let each person shine with their ego tho. not entirely a solo bolo sport so false advertising by the fans. anyways still a fun watch. similar to kuroko basket. each player has a "weapon" that they use to play futbol. cast of characters are unique with interesting personalities. anime is mostly in the head of our MC where he analyzes the field and makes a plan. also MC makes tons of monologues which makes the fundamentals of soccer lacking. overall rate: 8.49

musical elements to have bocchi come out of her shell. prefer k-on original songs more. colorful cast of characters. bocchi tries her best to change. the people she meets encourage her to do that. animation is creative and crazy. entertaining stuff like bocchi reactions. this is less about music & more about bocchi taking steps to improve herself, in short. for an anime about music its weak. prefer k-on original songs more. not my cup of tea & I like 80% of anime I watched. compared to lycoris recoil, I prefer that.

1st half is war between heroes and villains finally starting. 2nd half is post-war. OP always misses. last great OP was OP 4. story is picking up pace and juicy content. plot twist left and right. fantastic fights. this season packs some emotional punches. got me teary-eyed. 2nd op of this season is good. introduce some new charac. charac development from some charac. important things are at stake. dive into the trouble with the society of heroes. overall, this season was good after so long.

like previous seasons, so expect it to be great. some backstory here and there which helped build the characters more. nice music. this season was entertaining like the past seasons. new antagonists interesting. solid watch

continuing from season 4 it was good. solid fightings and mind plays. i think szn 4 was better than this szn. this szn was finishing up the arc. the end was wrapped up quickly. music was good. kept my interest so its an 8/10. twitsts and turns in the plot. got to know more about the boss (unless it was from szn 4).

each ending was different. fire op and also references to movies. solid animation. fire fighting music. followed the manga. fun watch. tons of aesthetic shots.

completed my 4th watch of FMA on Netflix. Watched in dub and it was enjoyable. Ed, Al, Roy, Wrath, Armstrong, Greed, Ling, Scar top of my head dub VA were great (fits the character and doesn't sound out of place). Favorite Opening is Period and favorite Ending is Uso. Wasn't bored at all even after watching so many times. Favorite character that is not main cast is Greed/Ling, Armstrong, and Wrath. Bombastic fights and animation. Great dynamics characters. Humor is on point and knows when to get serious. when shit gets down it goes down...hard. favorite part/arc has to be meeting Greed, meeting Ling, and escaping Ross. // 6/26/22 rate: 9.14 ranked #2, popularity #3, favorited #1, the epitome of anime

felt fast paced like in the beginning. the story just moved along really fast without any time to sit down. but it does get better. cool new characters that are allied to fushi. fushi learning a lot of stuff. character developments. animation is good enough to watch. overall solid season.

the OG anime from the 2010s. recommended by one of my cuz. first watch reached around ep30 and stopped. rewatched and finished it and it was definitely a great anime. the first arc is really good introducing the cast and showing what hunters are. fantastic worldbuilding. each arc is very cool. kurapika's power is special and interesting where it is only used to fight the phantom troupe. probably an op power as well but only against PT. power system is cool and ez to digest. naruto took inspiration from hxh with the scaling and the one-man revenge clan. also the opps have cool powers. fights are surreal and amazing with a lot of weight. there is no nonsense fight just beacause like jjk. the music is nice and the OP always go on repeat and ED is nice. (update 6/23/24) -> Rewatched in 2024 around April/May. Sheesh I'm already on episode 105 or something. Chimera Ant arc is really good. (update 7/13/24) -> Completed watching 2nd time. Watched this on Netflix, so I watched on laptop and tv (mostly tv). overall 10/10 and perfect timing too because I'm working full-time. Love the power system in this series. Onward to the manga.

lotta characters that are interesting with their own goals n stuff. fighting scenes are top notch. they bring out the fire real nice. tons of gore. story is great. mc is the typical op guy with awesome fighting strength. he learnin that killin is bad and tryin to change. cool to see the development of mc and other characters like that sword girl. similar vibes to suicide squad. op n ed is joppin. first half was super good with all the introductions n mysterious things. 2nd half has cool moments in fights like any shonen n also gave some backstories for side characters

1st watch binged it from 1/4/18-1/7/18. wow 😲
2nd watch is on netflix. so far part 1 is really good and hamon is an interesting power but not much creativity/flexibility compared to stands. hamon all about energy waves, breathing, and mental. Jonathan is a cool 1st jojo. pt2 got a new jojo named joseph. joseph is a cool dude. his attitude and strength is very macho. he has the confidence and ability to fight. prob the best jojo imo along with pt3 jojo. his carefree and freedom of fighting is amazing like luffy g5. anyway so far this anime scored raised from 7->9 for now (currently on ep20). the final fights with the remaining bosses were interesting...not as spectacular as before or witty but still fun. overall a solid watch. after 7 years, 2nd watch was great.

supposedly shibuya incident arc is the best shonen arc of all time. well as time went on and i witnessed it, the arc is good but nothing beyond that. its same as bleach where bunch of fighting. season 2 does what it needs to do. builds on top of season 1 by having more fights. music is nice and animation as well. actually animation carries this whole thing. story revolves around fighting. tldr; shibuya arc jujutsu sorcs got baited by villain who successfully trapped gojo so juju sorcs have to free him by getting through these 1v1 or 1vMany. cant go in depth with the story. nobara backstory was chill but basic. toji is like minato where he has high feats but dies too early or not enough info bout him. overall this anime is what a battle shonen is where its just pure fighting.

balance to my score

when i read the manga i was locked in and i was excited for the anime. after completing the anime it was average at best. reminds me of Parasyte more than AoT but there is no explanation of how MC can control his powers so well. it just happens. in Parasyte the MC had to communicate and understand his parasite to use the powers. also i didn't feel the kaiju were threatening or scary like titans. they were getting handled even though they caused chaos and destruction. but the anime didn't show much of the casualty and the horror that kaijus can bring. anyway its a fun anime with everyone shooting down the titans and they win all the time without losing anyone. MC can just transform into a kaiju and be Saitama 1-shotting every kaijus.
