K-On! Movie

If you’re reading this, I’ll assume you’ve already seen K-on! season 1 and 2.

The movie is really fun and enjoyable to watch. That beings said, the movie doesn’t feel like a grand cinematic experience, it just feels like more of season 1 or 2. It’s a little disappointing, but that’s not a big deal.

The story is really exciting and does a great job of keeping you interested, although I felt like there was some missed opportunities since they did not spend that much time exploring London. The Movie gives some more context the show, and K-on! fans will really enjoy that. The character ... relations are as relatable as always. The jokes are still really funny.

The music is really awesome. There are multiple new arrangements of classics from the show as well as a couple new songs. The sound affects are still really good. The voice actors do an amazing job in both Japanese and English.

The visuals are pretty and look really improved from the series since this is a movie. The animation is very fluid. Characters are still very expressive. The artists did a great job of depicting London in the background art.

If you liked K-on this delivers more of the same quality

I marathoned K-On seasons 1 and 2 as well as the ovas over the span over a week or so. The ending of the second season, for lack of a better word, fucked me up. K-On, although it is just about cute girls drinking tea and occasionally playing music, had tons of great characters and development for them which made it hurt even more for it to end. This movie made it worse.

Spoilers regarding the end of season 2 as well as some stuff that is talked about at the end of this movie (there's ... a part later on that becomes spoiler free)
Honestly the scene where HTT plays their final song for Azusa was a really nice send off for the show, but this movie adds more context to the song. Of course there is tons of context delivered throughout the show but since I, and I'm assuming most other people here, can't understand Japanese so we have no idea what the lyrics mean. Towards the end of the movie the process behind creating the song is shown as the Light Music Club plays the song. I have no shame in admitting that i teared up because of this. KyoAni you glorious bastards well done.

Pretty good, does everything it needs to do as well as giving some nice closure.

If you thought K-On looked good then this movie made it better. Holy shit is KyoAni good at animation.

It's the same characters as from the show. More screen time for them is never a bad thing.

we watch all kinds of anime it gives us happiness,teach so many things and so on,,,,,..but once in a while you need some anime that makes you feel like you want to fly high and also can make you laugh...that's what i truly felt when i watch k-on and this movie is even better this anime tell us about the good things in life i get the feeling it says to us TO ENJOY LIFE FOR WHAT IT IS...i know crappy things happen but after watching this you feel TOMORROW IS ALWAYS A NEW DAY that's what i felt.the story has good placement didn't mess ... with the original story and it open ended so we can hope for a 3rd season.art is beautiful London background was greatly drawn and the characters was as usual very moe and cute in more funnier situations.i loved the add seance to the original story love that and there was new songs they were awesome i have to say more than anything this was SO FUNNY THAT THE ORIGINAL SERIES,THEY GET IN TO A LOT OF MESS ITS SO FUNNY BECAUSE IT CAN HAPPEN TO ANYONE(even me cz i ma scatter brain some times :3 )another thing that i love is it tells about friendship and bonds makes me melt inside and think about my friends and the goofy things we did and pissed off our teachers :3 if you want to feel happy when you down,have a lot of problems and wished you had someone by your side to give you a big hug or a shoulder to cry DEFINITELY WATCH THIS YOU WILL FEEL WONDERFUL AND GREAT EVEN YOU DON'T HAVE THOSE MATTERS WATCH THIS ITS A LOVELY STORY ABOUT FRIENDSHIP A MUST WATCH MASTERPIECE OF GREATNESS :3

Let's go on a flight together. There's a destination waiting for us through the clouds on the other side of the world. A place where we can cherish the valued times we had with the K-On girls. Looming over the horizon, a beautiful day is ahead of us.

Sometimes, they want to eat cakes. Other times, they laze around with glee. But every time, they constitute one another with pure friendships. Without Yui, Ritsu, Mio, Tsumugi, and Azusa, K-On wouldn't have existed and become such a special presence filled with joy. Remaining by their side as ... the minutes go by was not a wasteful experience. It was an experience that brightened up the day with a genuine smile and laughter, never ceasing to lose personal attachment with the characters. Part of feeling a deeper connection with a series is through the key players themselves, and this movie was no exception to what the TV anime had accomplished in that aspect. It's another exciting adventure as they travel to London to bask themselves once again with their lovable yet wild cuteness. Their interactions in a foreign land were a blast to watch as they mingle about in familiar settings with a true to life quality. Whether it's the language barrier between Japanese and English giving me quite a chuckle or the pleasure of seeing them be awed by the cultural atmosphere in another country, all of their moments together were delightful to watch. There's a saying that it's the little things in life that brings us true happiness and it's so true. Because it's wonderful to see bonds come about in the midst of daily activities. They're truly the things that you want to store deep within your heart as they're something that are precious, impactful, and emotional. K-On characters proved it, and I wouldn't want to forget the memories they've expressed with one another. They're forever there.

Being unprecedented isn't really all that makes art special as embracing even the simple stuffs out there can lead to great things. It's just like how the pure friendships the girls shared together led to boundless feelings of positivity that we all can adore and cling on to. Kyoto Animation took what simplicity has to offer, refined it, and produced a high quality piece of visual. They respected the London sceneries with panoramic views that realistically portrayed the details of the city itself. It's worthy of being a sightseeing destination and with the girls being a part of that wonder, it brought out a wonderful essence. What came out of it was a message that was dear. The expressions that made us happy, laugh, and smile with no forcefulness. The body languages that told no lies, connecting the tangible bonds together. Everything felt heartfelt. It's enough to engage the audience with the characters, and it's as simple as that. The imbuement of these special qualities, along with bright lighting, seeped warmth into everyone's heart. It was gently lifted by the breathable soundtracks that emanated happiness and a new English culture to go along with a memorable trip. Cute personalities that we've come to love were complemented by great voice actings as they exchanged silly and honest dialogues. That's a precious friendship I can listen to all day long. They were a harmonious group that enhanced and emphasized each other so sincerely, with the addition of the music-loving similarities they all have. And that factor alone meant that every song they played, no matter how unprofessional it may be, was a fun performance. An outpouring of friendship, an outpouring of emotions that loved one another.

Welcome to the Light Music Club. It's the destination where happiness gathers everyone together and the memories of drinking tea, eating cakes, and having fun is formed. A place where we can treasure the little things we have in life. The setting sun is a goodbye, but the sunrise tomorrow will mark another day for K-On and Hokago Tea Time, a tradition that will blissfully go on forever.

I watched 2 seasons of K-ON, the story is light, but for this one movie, I give "standing applause" because it has exceeded my expectations. K-On films can really take me into the story. when the beginning of the film began, I said whether K-On movie would provide beautiful music at the end, because for 2 seasons, I felt that the song that HTT performed not special. but apparently they can give me what I expect. beautiful music with deep meaning. thank you to all who have been instrumental in the process of adapting K-ON Films. You have managed to make me smile and hold ... back emotional tears while watching it.

I've been waiting for this movie for quite a long time, and I have only watched it recently since I couldn't get my hands on it no matter how hard I tried. And I have to say I am complete satisfied. My several months of want have been completely satiated in a matter of 2 hours. And that was 2 hours very much well spent.

I'm impressed with the way the movie progressed really. I couldn't have thought of a better setting. Set after the four girl's university exams to their farewell ceremony, which was the last episode as well. The gang decides to have a ... short before-graduation vacation to Europe while they think of something special to leave behind for their dear Azu-nyan.

The plot itself was very intriguing. The common elements of the anime were changed, but the all to common feeling that k-on gives was still there. And since they were in a different atmosphere, and a totally different country altogether, the enticing effect of surprise was also present. It gave off a totally new feeling, but still retained its whole self.

The story telling was all in all, superb. I couldn't see any plot holes that weren't patched through. Although near the ending, it did kind of give off a rushed feeling. But it's not a big deal since it was technically part of the movie. They also managed to really capture London, not just in the art. They managed to put on the "foreigner's" point of view in a very nice and cute manner.

Props to Kyoto Animation for their astounding work in the art department. I really like the texture of the movie. It really made the gang's "moe-ness" and fluffiness pop. The background details and the surrounding details were also exquisite. You can really see the effort they put in to each detail of the movie.

And now what would K-ON be without the music?
The music was also done pretty cleanly. Some of their old songs were featured, but none of the OP's and ED's. They also introduced new songs in the opening and ending as well. I am currently on the hunt of the MP3 of the OP. It's sooooo fluffy.... X3

The seiyuus were also astounding as usual. They also had special English seiyuus as well. My favorite was the taxi driver. But some of the English seiyuus didn't really fit in though. But still, it was still pretty cool to see both languages in different perspectives.

All in all, this has been one of the best anime movies I have ever seen. It's not just because of the cuteness of the gang and the hilariousness of their antics. It's also because it's one of the few anime that has actually touched me. It made me feel a strange but familiar feeling. A feeling I can only get by watching k-on.

So yeah. That's about it. I recommend this movie to everybody, not just the otakus. Although you might want to actually see the entire series to make the experience even better, it's still a great watch on its own.

To simply put I have always enjoyed K-On. From the funny story line and enjoyable characters in the first two seasons, to the stupid things that they always do. I found myself enjoying K-On through these things.

The K-On movie was no exception with the same enjoyable characters and the cute and stupid things that they always do. The K-On movie was my peak enjoyment throughout my time watching K-On. An Adventure arc that ended with goodbyes.

To me this is a very great way to end something off. I'm not saying that K-On is over however it's a great way to end off their high-school year ... together. The songs being used was also no exception i sometimes found myself listening to it on spotify when going to sleep... that might be off topic but i had to throw that in. Of course different people have different taste and some may not enjoy it as much but for me the K-On movie was really enjoyable.

O filme te deixa um pouco confuso no inicio, pelo fato que ele mostra a viagem delas, as preparações de formatura, e a surpresa a sawako-chan que aconteceu antes mesmo do episódio 24, fazendo eu pensar que o filme teria que ser assistido antes do episódio final. Mas o filme foi lançado depois da segunda temporada, então é para assistir desta maneira mesmo, no entanto isso não tira o mérito do filme que é excepcional, que te deixa feliz, traz algumas emoções e ao mesmo tempo que te deixa atento para assistir é também muito calmo e relaxante. De maneira geral esse filme fecha ... toda a história de K-ON, um anime que tem uma proposta muito simples, mas que em si é muito bom de assistir. Encerro aqui dizendo que foi muito bom esse filme e que tem um lugar reservado no meu coração. É uma pena não ter uma 3ª temporada, mostrando elas na faculdade, e azu-nyan com Ui e Jun em seu último ano na escola, espero que um dia seja realizado, mas desde então foi muito bom conhecer K-ON!!

The film leaves a bit of confusion at the beginning, due to the fact that it shows a trip of them, as preparations of formations, and surprises a Sawako-chan that happened before episode 24, making me think of films that are watched by final episodes. In general, this film closes the whole story of K-ON, an anime that has a very simple proposal, but which is very good to watch. Click here saying that this film was very good and that it has a reserved place in my heart. It is a pity not to have a 3rd season, showing them in college, and azu-nyan with Ui and Jun in their last year at school, I hope that one day it was done it was great to meet K-ON !!

The final accord of K-On! series created as movie fits the whole K-On! thing just right. It is a great present for fans and must be praised all around.

Firstly, if you like the TV series - you will like this movie too. If you like characters of K-On! you will probably like this movie. If you did not see series, you should - there is no characters introduction at all.

So what we get:

Mio, Yui, Ritsu and Mugi had their graduation nearby, and Azusa will be alone in K-On club. So our four looking for something to present to Azusa. Something that will remind Azusa ... about their good relations in the club. A really nice dramatic story about friendship and what matters...

One more storyline is about the final trip to London, for a celebration of graduation. And it will be in K-On style - funny and cute. The story is simple but solid, it's nothing special but nothing bad.

==Characters==
They are the same, but more relations and feelings between character are shown. They act more adult or something. But that's what happens when you go abroad and graduate.

==Art and Music==
Art is better than in TV series, it is not strange, but I must admit it. Shadows, new locations, more emotions on faces - simply better.

Music is great too, old songs sound just the same good way. And the music video in the end of movie, is so good, that somebody will call it the best ED of series. And it will be not far away from the truth.

==Summary==
I just want to say 'Thank" to Kyoto Animation, they create great fun moe series, which will be remembered for a long time, and I will probably watch it again sometimes, K-On!Movie - it's small returning to the world of K-On!, and this returning is so sweet.

The first time I discovered these girls. That last song they played in the film made me teared up, and I haven't even watched the anime first by then. Just recently after I have done them all I got to rush and see this film once more. It was some insane experiences, considering I was seeing everyday life of few girls in school. This anime went all the way with such simple premise and went to show me how I can gain so much by just witnessing these lively characters that don't get bounded by any complicated plots. They get to live their life to ... the fullest as schoolgirls with all the shenanigans that we might or might not get to relate to. I miss them already.

Truly the end of the K-on!! Story that we deserved. The wonderful artwork, the music of both the background and the performances, and the ability for the characters to completely express their words and thoughts remains just as good and powerful as the show. While it starts a little slow, especially if you've seen the special on the group preparing to travel, the story is completely commanding of your attention and is a real tear jerker in some instances. The relationship between all of the girls, but especially between the older ones and Azusa is giving a beautiful resolution that, while somewhat predictable, is wonderfully ... executed and exiting to watch play out.

It is a privilege to have this movie forever etched into the corners of my mind.

The sun shines a little brighter, food tastes a little better, and the forces of darkness are pushed back from the realms of men, because this movie exists.

I'm not crying you're crying. I haven't felt so emotional for a music anime since Your Lie in April. K-On! isn't quite like Your Lie in April though. Instead of sad moments and a love story making the story a masterpiece, K-On! went for the most simple type of relationship that everyone can relate to, friendship. It really moved me since I've had several regrets in high school and watching them fulfill everything they wanted to do really brought joy to me. I really hope everyone watching this could enjoy this move as much as I did. Each character brought a unique role to ... the band and the character design was very much close to perfection. However, if you haven't watched the TV series, I do recommend that before watching the movie. It helps to bring out the feels and gets you to like the character a lot more.

This movie tells a story where K-On girls go overbroad. In here we will see about their relationship in depth. You will be taken once in a while to a nostalgia trip down the franchise. I'm amazed about how they can make my heart touched the second time in this franchise. Its really a great ending to the girls journey. Even though they still have the manga, it will never change the fact that this is the true ending for the series.

At first it kinda confusing when this movie take place. Because the last episode of K-On anime didn't match with the beginning of ... this. But as you gradually watch the movie, you realize it. I didn't mind to much about it tho. Beside from that confusion, the story is good overall. They still keep the wholesomeness, moe, and cuteness this girls bring everywhere. Even overbroad. Yes you can watch their clumsiness interacting in a foreign country filled with English speaking people. So you can tell from that, the comedy is gonna be gold.

Art 10/10
Art is more more smoother compared with the previous season. They also improve the contrast and lighting. Like you can tell if the clip is from the movie or the anime. The difference is not that great but still noticeable. Artstyle didn't change, still that simple and beautiful line of work.

Sound 10/10
Whats surprising is that the people overbroad didn't speak Japanase, instead they speak a fluent English. While yes its not that rare to have a perfect English in anime, I didn't expect a decade old anime to have English VA. The main character VA is also doing a great job. They have insert song here and they're catchy, in fact some of them are in my playlist. I know most of the song they sing here, so i sing along with them. They also use the same BGM from the first season so when they play, I feel some kind of nostalgia and realizing that this girls have come this far.

Characters 10/10
After 2 entire season of story and character development, I think it safe to say that they are done with a full pledged characters and just need to keep the personality the way they are. There isn't much to talk about here, they are basically the same like the anime. Although there is some small detail about them that revealed here, it doesnt affect much. They also didn't forget about side characters either, they dump them as much as they can in here to have a screentime.

So far, every anime music I watch have a movie and they go overbroad. I don't know what's up with this pattern, but I'll never get bored of it. Seeing them go outside Japan and interact with new people always make me excited. Like for real, when I first watch K-On I can't wait to finish season 2 and go watch the movie. Same with other anime music that I watch (LLS and LLSIP). I'm also fall in love with this kind of anime. Just normal people leading a normal life. I'll definitely remember this series when people mention Slice of Life genre, because its just fit right in.

Should you watch this? Yes, I really really reccomend it. Even if you are new to this franchise. So when you watch the anime, it feels like you are watching a flashback. If you wanna know the continuous story of K-On, you can read the manga. Its called K-On college and K-on high school. For me, I'm gonna read them when I finish Yuru Camp manga. Thats all I can say about this movie. Thank you for reading my review.

Anyone who gives this movie a score of 8 or less either does not like the gender or is simple in a bad day. The movie is full of laughter and emotion. I still don't know how they managed to get characters so deep in a series so simple and straightfoward.

This is how this type os anime should be. K-on is an example to be followed.

The plot of the movie flows in a nice way, no scenes are useless and you do not feel dragged.
The songs are very enjoyable.
The way their travel and graduation is portrayed makes you really feel inside the story and make ... you with to be travelling with your friends to London.
The art is the same of the series. It is not super innovative but has quality and a lot of details.

Where should I begin, I never took K-on seriously and took a break from it. Decided to watch this movie and I regret it 100%.

I watched both seasons and nothing happened even the comedy was cringe but it kept me entertained.

I bought a 4k TV just to watch this movie.

The movie is still plotless but it still tells a story. The coming of age themes from season 2 are in and are more prevalent than ever. It's done in such a way that a younger person can understand while an older person would be able to get deeper meaning out of it.

Overall I give it ... a solid 7.5/10

Ugh I feel it as if it were an extra chapter felt, it shows that they understood perfectly where to put the film chronologically, and this makes it work very very well. Both in chapter 24 and at the end of the film, I cried for the song they wrote for you, it is very beautiful. In the film there was much more music than in the series I liked that. In other words, they play 3 times, but if I'm wrong, they are the times they played in the last season. Nothing very cute anime, very unique makes you want to have a band.

Uf lo siento como si fuera un capitulo extra se sintió, se nota que entendieron perfectamente donde meter la película cronológicamente, y esto hace que funcione muy muy bien. Tanto en el capitulo 24 y en final de la película llore por la canción que le escribieron es muy linda. En la película hubo mucho mas música que en la serie eso me gusto. I love field trips. That's the only thing I look forward to in school. My favorite parts of my life so far have been on school field trips. From Space Camp to Chicago. In highschool, I used to join other clubs just to go on the trips. It is fun but in the K-On Movie!, the way they go on a trip is probably the most luckiest way to go on a trip ever.


K-On the Movie has the deepest plot ever:high school girls go to London and act just like they do in Japan. That's about it but somehow it's entertaining.I haven't actually tried to ... watch both seasons of K-On but I feel like I would enjoy it to the point where I wouldn't anymore. It must be very exhausting having two seasons of straight up MOE. This movie does a good job of not going over the top with the moe. Also the way they portray London is really spot on. This is a very fun movie to watch in your spare time because like I said before it's just girls going on a trip to London and having fun, sure they face obstacles but there is NO conflict in the movie at all.They still face the small problems like not being able to reserve at a tea cafe and accidentally being mistaken for another band and having to play instead of eating. But they still ate after that. What I would be worried about is well being lost, being robbed, losing my luggage, or just pure unadulterated racism but these girls got it good especially since they went to London all by themselves and they are still in highschool. It's ridiculous on just how much I have to say about this movie where cute girls go out of the country and do their thing.


The art and animation was made by the big daddy of animation right now Kyoto Animation. I really don't have to say anything about it because it's just as good as all the other works made by them.AKA ITS REALLY GOOD. From the colors, to the movement, to the background, its all nice.


The actual music in K-On I am not a die hard fan off but it is good. The majority of music noticeable comes from the actual ensemble themselves and it is great. There are times where I wish I could hear the entire song because Kyoto Ani can pull it off of course.And the soundtrack is just standard moe fare.The voice acting is impeccable from a sub perspective and I haven't listened to the dub so.And the actual english accent given to the British people was actually very well done. It's nice to see actual decent english voice actors.


This show is one of the shows that spawned the moe genre along with Lucky Star and these characters are kinda like hybrids of characters from before the moe era and cuteness. Yui is the energetic Tomo(Azumanga Daioh)character of the series. And then we got the sassy one, the chill one on the drums, the one with blonde hair, and the little one. They do a good job at acting cute. I really don't know what else to say.With gullible high school students like these, I don't see how they could go to a travel agency, get a plane, and be able to book a hotel without some form a parental guardian. To end on a positive note, I really like the whole concept of upperclassman and underclassman. It is very minor but it spoke to me how sad it would actually be for a good majority of people you are friends with actually graduated and you are stuck with that one friend who is one grade lower is still with you.

In the end this movie is just an extended OVA of the actual series just in another country. The interaction with the girls and the British environment is very entertaining but this is one of those movies that I would've loved when I looked forward to going on a school trip.This movie is cute and comfortable and you should be comfortable while watching this.

I wonder if K-On could make a movie about their college years and it goes the Clannad After Story route. It's gonna be weird.

The film takes a layer of focus off the tension that carried the second season, emphasizing the calm of the final days leading toward graduation. Because of this, rather than character-specific emphasis, the growth and state of the K-On club as a whole is emphasized, particularly in the way their performances pace the work and what each performance tells about the history of the club up to this point. The notable inclusion of London as a setting change for the middle portion highlights the more idyllic qualities of their home in Japan by contrast, and the club members' awkward interactions with the foreign culture gives ... a new perspective on the innocence and femininely ideal qualities of the main cast, an idea reiterated at the end when their performance is contrasted with Sawako's aggressive high school performance. In general, thematic focus is less tight than the TV series, but the constantly strong characterization and statements on the identity of the club as a whole never wane.

At last, after waiting seemingly a very long time the movie is finally here.

The story of the film is just basically a different ending for the anime version about the graduation of Yui, Mio, Mugi, and Ritsu. This time, they go to the land where so many famous musicians came from; London. As always, the storyline is nothing spectacular or intense or mind-boggling as it is one of the specialties of the series where even with an extremely ordinary or simple storyline, the story is still very much interesting and fun. If you look at it differently, it’s really amazing how it is still entertaining ... with its simplicity because nowadays, animes’ plots are getting more complicated. It is cuter, more fun, more hilarious, and most especially, there are more nice music. Plus, there’s even a bonus music-like video at the end.
