Canvas 2: Nijiiro no Sketch

Again harem/romance type. similar character designs and behavior. You got to like it when you liked the other one 

Both titles have the same "sibiling love" theme in it , with more or less the same relationship development from the begining, right to the very end of the two shows. 

Both contain a character with painful memories and them dealing with it by avoiding some sort of art, whether its musical or visual. The same mood gets sent whenever both shows start digging into the past and each give hint by hint to what happened. 

They both have some character development and a similar story like the relationship between brother and sister.OreImo is much more fun then the Canvas 2.C2 can be little dramatic some time.  

They are really similar in a way. The main character in Bungaku is a novel writer, and the main character from Canvas 2 is a painter. It reflects the way they are. Also one of the heroines is a childhood friend from the past in both shows. If you like one you'll most likely like the other.  

if you liked all the drama and sadness in nana you would like canvas 2 in the first couple episodes its not so good just like nana was but then it gets interesting and i really enjoyed it and i actually cryed in the last couple episodes and the ones in the middle of the anime 

Both series contain a protagonist surrounded by many girls including one that is a sibling. Both series contain comedy, drama, and romance. Both also takes place in a school like setting. Both series also has a mysterious like atmosphere that makes the viewers wonder what will happen next. 

Both had two girls in love with one guy, and the one closer to him gets jealous when the other tries to get closer. 

Both anime have the brother and sister relationship. The difference between these two is that the sister in canvas 2 she show her love and care towards his brother and the anime show how she is deeply inlove with his brother while oreimo 2 the sister is a tsundere toward his brother. 

Both have strong romance ,slice of life and school elements. Canvas 2 is more art-themed, involves deeper storylines while Nogizaka Haruka no Himitsu is more light-atmosphered and more otaku-themed. 

For people who like tricycles and magic lamps! And other such things, like love triangles. Both are school-based dramas centering on relationship woes among the three central characters. Both series are unique among the genre in that they will throw some curves here and there, so there never is an obvious resolution to the triangle until very near the ending (if that!). Worth a watch if you enjoy multidimensional characters and aren't afraid of a little angst. 

Similar character design. Harem type. You'll probably like both. 

The characters in both series go to art schools and at the same time, they experience love and friendship with their peers. 

Both have a gentle feeling and involve a main character who has 2 girls trying to date him and indulges himself in art. the drawing/paintings the main guy does reflects whats happening in the anime and add to the mood at hand. the overall story lines seem to fit in perfectly with each other. 

I have watched the majority of all the other recommendations, and I feels sad because Canvas 2 isn't listed here as well. What a pain! This is exactly why I registered to MyAnimeList! *smile* *Most of the recommendations are animes that I love. Clannad is my number 1; I can connect to this because my father is somewhat similiar to Tomoya Okasaki's father. Maybe Tomoya Okasaki's dad may even be a better dad than mine. Hahah, what a pain, but I still love my dad.* Canvas 2 ~Niji Iro no Sketch~ has a different plot, but the feeling when you watch it is quite the same. Although Canvas 2 doesn't have a very sad blend to it, it does have other similiar traits. Ex. Romance and Harem. Just to make this quick, "The series focuses on the lives of some students and teachers at Nadesico Academy both at school and their private lives. The main character of the series is Kamikura Hiroki, who lives with his younger cousin Elis. Hiroki is training to become a full-fledged art teacher while also trying to take care of Elis. When his childhood friend Kiri starts working at the school, drama begins to flare as he has to juggle his work, private life, and the feelings of these two important girls." -Wikipedia Anyway, it is a great anime. The same goes to all the other recommendations for Clannad as well (Although I watched the majority of these recommendations, there are still some that I didn't watch. Yooooo~ similar relationship, again! onnnii-chan? otokou-kun? explaining more would give spoilers :< both aren't ecchi/harem much and have a decent amount of romance in it :33 and to those who watched Canvas, DA CAPO II SECOND SEASON is more SADDER at the end :P 

The result of Sola Project is a team up between Da Capo and Canvas 2, since I watched them both I recommend them 

Both were the same studio and are filled with several different bgms (OSTs I believe). Both contain large amounts of slice of life and have similar storytelling methods, and excellent OPs.
