Although the settings of these shows aren't that close, they are similar in that they aren't set in Japan which is the most common setting in anime. These shows also focus on strong female characters who love using guns. They also tend to imitate movies which means they are somewhat more grounded when it comes to abilities of their characters.

Two females, action & comedy with a case that has to be solved.

Gunsmith Cats and Cowboy Bebop both have a similar western style and loads of good action. They have a very jazzy intro song done in a 1970's split screen style. Both have good writing with good characters and humor.

Both are fun mid-90's gunslinging action shows with attractive character designs & mostly light-hearted but hard-hitting action. Overall both are just a good time.

even that angel cop is more grittier, both have female protagonist from a time that people din't bother with that forced fed ' inclusive and gender-bender' crap. Gunsmith cats is lighter due to more comedy but both shows have a love guns guns and more guns, and here and there a grenade. enjoy

Both are high-budget popcorn action OVAs about cute girls. They're both from a similar era (late 80's to mid 90's) and has very attractive retro leads in pretty simple but well executed stores. While one is a cop thriller & the other is more mecha - both have a similar feel to their pacing and spectacle. Their sensibilities are very synced - feeling both geekily indulgent but not pandering full of cute girls & fanservice but never bogging it down. Both are fun & short - each are 3 episodes.

Don't try to be hardball against the ladie's , girls with guns before even the term exsisted back then and both have their hands full to solve the case whatever the outcome, and both have some comedic moments between them even if Burn up W has more ecchi to it . love it

Both are action-based classics that detail the lives of badass characters and their own ways of dealing with crime.

girls with guns type of story, full of action and beautiful animation. If you like one, you'll like the other

Both have tough girl bounty hunters as protagonists, are very action oriented, short story due to the OVA format, some gore, slapstick style humor, a slight fetishism for weapons & Kenichi Sonoda character designs.

Action anime with women agents. The feeling of the show and even the art is similar.

Main characters are extremely similar: Ihrie = Rally, Fam = May.

Both are decent if not above average series involving guns, girls, explosions, and good laughs all the way through.

Both feature women with firearms and hot cars, often fighting crime syndicates with returning villain characters. Cleopatra DC is has more of a comedic streak while Gunsmith Cats tends to be more serious and gritty.
report Recommended by BluMeino
Both are above average series focused on car and gun loving girls pursuing justice with enjoyable action scenes as a result.

Strong female characters with weapons as a specialty, on a much larger scale as Koko deals weapons all over the world.

Girls with guns. But Gunsmith Cats has a girl with grenades and a tighter story. The manga is even better developed.
