Chichi wa Eiyuu, Haha wa Seirei, Musume no Watashi wa Tenseisha.

Being a girl of both spirit and human blood, eight-year-old Ellen has power over the elements—though not the traditional four-element kind. She has the power to transform her surroundings by manipulating the elements of the periodic table. On top of that, Ellen also has a great amount of scientific knowledge due to being a scientist in her past life.

During the war against a neighboring kingdom, Rovel Vankreift, the hero of the Kingdom of Tenbahl and eldest son of house Vankreift—as well as Ellen's father—was fatally injured. However, the spirit who fought by Rovel's side, Lady Origin, brought him to her realm to save him from the clutches of death. Lady Origin, who happens to be the Queen of the Spirit Realm as well as Ellen's eventual mother, is one of the most powerful spirits in existence, making little Ellen quite powerful in contrast to her innocent looks.

But even a family as happy as this one has its fair share of problems, as Ellen and her parents are forced to reconnect their old ties to the Vankreift household in order to defend their relatives' honor—all while hiding Ellen's dangerous existence from the public to preserve their undisturbed happiness.

This is the anime equivalent of what a Ubisoft game is. Just a ganerically average to good piece of media.
Don't get me wrong, it is fun! And very cute at points.
BUT, it is only as good to a certain point, after which it seems unable to reach its full potential.

I do believe part of this series is what feels like multiple cut up OVAs where there is no real long term storyline. That's fine, but it doesn't really bring any cohesiveness to the entire story.

There seems to be a dichotomy where the reincarnator is either super strict, or completely childish (which you wouldn't expect from ... someone who was reaching almost 40). There are a lot of situations where I think the reincarnator takes control, which is awesome, but is also contrasted by the situations where she feels hopeless, which is surprising given her abilities.

Still, if you are looking for a Sunday afternoon Isekai binge, this is probably a good one for the list

Mixed Feelings

What an aimless series. I liked the political story, it was just so poorly parsed out. The story they were trying to tell could not be done it twelve episodes, and it shows. It starts out interesting, but it was clear early on they don't know what kind of story they were trying to tell. It feels like pick up and drop every piece without completing them.

Did we really need the isekai element in here too? I'm so sick of these elements shoehorned into every series. The purpose it served here was ultimately unnecessary with how they used it. She uses magic for Pete's sake. ... If she was a normal human tinkering with the actual tools from her trade in the other world, it would be a different story. That's not what happened, though. She just wills things into existence. I could have easily written the isekai element out. There's no reason to assume spirits that use magic don't already have an innate understanding of how everything works on a molecular level to even be able to manifest things via magic. I would argue it's in fact implied.

We don't need the dang reincarnation/past life/summoned/video game aspect in every series. Just make it another world. It doesn't have to have a connection to a different world. I swear, if Lord of the Rings was a Japanese anime, Frodo would have been a Japanese businesswoman that got asked to return an engagement ring moments before getting hit by a bus. She'd then wake up with the ring in the Shire, staring at her hairy feet. They'd probably try to procure rice and soy sauce at some point. They'd probably stumble upon and befriend a little talking creature too…

Anyways… This could have made a decent political drama. There were just too many distractions, and it feels like a bait and switch at the beginning. The fact it's a little girl steering all of it made it very strange. I don't think they knew what they were writing. I highly suspect we're seeing at the very least partially AI stories as of late, and this is an example. It's not as blaringly obvious as Onmyo Kaiten Re:Birth Verse, but the signs are there. Seasonal slope is getting to be a bigger and bigger problem. Streaming services are just trying to fill their catalogs with whatever cheap crap they can get.

this show is literally "generational guilt" propaganda, and the mc is objectively the villain in the last ep. the "royal family" is cursed for something they did so many generations ago that they dont even have records/memory of what actually happened. and the current king is an ass, sure, but i wouldnt really say a villain, and the kings son is DEFINITELY not a villain in any regard, but is treated as such until the very end, further reinforcing the "generational guilt" propaganda angle of "you can never make up for what your ancestors did". but since its a kids show and we need to ... have a happy ending they take the "fine i guess we'll help you after all" route, completely ignoring the fact the whole reason anyone needed help is completely the mc's fault. american politics propaganda in my anime in 2025, amazing.
