Buddy Daddies

On Christmas Eve, four-year-old Miri Unasaka arrives in Tokyo completely alone, in search of her father. The bright lights and merry atmosphere guide Miri to a big hotel and a man with a delicious-looking cake. However, the child has just unknowingly walked into the center of an elaborate, foolproof plan for assassinating a dangerous mafia boss.

Professional assassins Kazuki Kurusu and Rei Suwa live together, fleeing memories of their grim childhoods and avoiding emotional connections. When their mission goes awry and they end up bringing Miri home, there is only one reasonable thing to do: return Miri to her mother. But the girl's innocent laugh and pure worldview quickly enamor her to Kazuki, who secretly enjoys playing a parent, and it is not long before Rei's impenetrable heart makes room for Miri.

Miri's every move is unpredictable, and Kazuki and Rei find raising an energetic child harder than any of their missions. Although it presents a great risk to their careers, Kazuki and Rei—both assuming the affectionate nickname "papa"—decide to provide Miri with a normal childhood despite all the odds stacked against them.

I saw a clip of Buddy Daddies on another SNS platform and thought it was so cute and seems wholesome and that's exactly what Buddy Daddies is. It's cute, wholesome and just a relaxing anime from heavily shounen pieces. It still does have some action and a good plot so it's good to keep viewers on their toes. Some of the episodes got a little deep and I appreciate the different experiences from the characters. I somewhat felt a relatability from the characters from how well their emotions were shown in the scenes. I really liked the ending and glad I stumbled upon this anime!

Mixed Feelings

this anime was straight up boring on the first 3 episodes i dropped it alteasy 3 times and i just watched it on the morning as a time killer and turns out as a pretty good story. Not so much on the hook but it turned out really good. No more season 2 on this with that ending.

Anyways this anime should be treated as a slice of life, time killer anime theres some really good bits and pieces of drama but in the end you will only see them on the later episodes

Might be confused with one of those anime where they mmakesu watch an ... entire only slice of life funny moments compilations with pure comedy then hit you with a truck to make you cry. Its plot and drama pieces on its story is really good even if they are just a few of them.

Before watching this know that it was very boring at ghe start and i cannot guarantee a good hook because it kinda doesnt have that but with the story and ending it seems really good and well.

This show is like if Spy x Family cut out everything interesting in the plot.

The fact that this show got tagged as 'Action' is equivalent to if Death Note got tagged 'Slice of Life' because Light talks to his family sometimes. This show is purely a slice of life anime with a complication that the two Dad's are assassins. The hook of the show was supposed to be the balancing act of cool action assassin and the facade of a happy family raising an unknowing daughter.

Instead it is a show about a whiny ass little kid that is unbearable and is constantly crying and ... tearing my eardrums apart with her little shrill ass voice and some of her daily life. The underground aspect of the family is so barely touched on its unfathomable how this show got rated so highly. I don't understand what people like about this show. I care so little about the constantly crying little girl I actively cheered against her.

4 year old girl goes to zoo with her class --> Dad's watch over her in disguise --> Absolutely nothing interesting happens --> She goes home and everybody is happy. What is the appeal? I don't get it.

The only comedic part about this show is that this anime got the comedy tag. All the humor is in a little 4 year old kid fucking around with adults and making their lives complicated because she doesn't know any better! Haha!

This show literally made me consider if I actually wanted to have kids or not.
