Tengoku Daimakyou

Fifteen years ago, disaster struck human civilization, and now dangerous man-eating monsters roam the ravaged lands, posing an existential threat to the remaining survivors. Amid this turmoil, an isolated facility shelters children and nurtures them in peace. However, as a few among them find out about the world beyond the narrow periphery of their nursery's walls, their curiosity about it slowly grows.

Meanwhile, in the outside world, young survivors Maru and Kiruko band together to search for a special place called Heaven, each for their own reasons. Carrying past burdens and tragic secrets, the two hope to find answers to the cruelty they have experienced in their lives and in the world, which still remains in tatters.

Very intricate plot, great stories of struggle, tragedy, and triumph in a collapsed world. It is extremely, and I mean extremely, refreshing to see an anime that leaves critical elements of the story for you to connect the dots, I.e. it doesn’t have the cliché ‘aha!’ narrative that spells things out for you. It could have been a tad more dark giving us more of that ‘why did he have to die!’ moments. Although I don’t know how that would impact the fantastic humour. Nevertheless, I’m not saying it is not dark, it actually had me biting my nails and with a grieving heart enough ... times.Given the above, it is a solid 9, eager to give it a 9.5, but without making me break a tear from tragedy, I can’t give it the 10/10.

In short, if you’re fed up with the la la land happily ever after anime era we live in now, this is a gem

A series that in my opinion has more merit than it deserves, look at the series it is not completely bad but they showed it to me as the best series this year that will have an amazing story but when I saw it it seemed more like an ordinary series, yes it is a trip in a post-apocalyptic world but nothing more, it does not bring us a new proposal and if it does it seems more like a copy of different series that converged here, from my point of view for a series to work it must hook you from the beginning and ... maintain the standard for the first episodes so that you watch the full series later even if its episodes are not so interesting here it was not the case, it takes a while for something to happen and it takes a long time, in this season we saw absolutely nothing with the mysteries Only some things happened in this world that gave us a taste of what the series could be but nothing more, we don't know what happened or how it happened, we don't know what the objective of our protagonists is or how it will relate to the secondary story, no. We know why they isolated some children from this apocalypse, we don't know how the boy's ability works, it really doesn't explain anything to us and it frustrates me a lot, the story of the boys is not interesting at all and neither is that of the organization, I was left with an anime that could have done many more and better things but ended up doing everything halfway which will leave many with many mysteries but for me it was just another ordinary series.

Una serie que a mi parecer tiene mas mérito de lo que se merece, miren la serie no es mala por completo pero a mi me la mostraron como la mejor serie en este año que tendrá una historia asombrosa pero cuando la vi se me hizo mas como una serie del montón, si es un viaje en un mundo posapocaliptico pero nada mas, no nos trae una nueva propuesta y si lo hace parece mas una copia de distintas series que convergieron aquí, desde mi punto de vista para que una serie funcione debe de engancharte desde el principio y mantener el estándar los primeros episodios para que veas la serie completa después aunque sus episodios no sean tan interesantes aquí no fue el caso, tarde en que pase algo y tarda mucho, en esta temporada no vimos absolutamente nada con los misterios de este mundo solo pasaron algunas cosas que nos dieron una probadita de lo que puede ser la serie pero nada mas, no sabemos que paso o como paso, no sabemos cual es el objetivo de nuestros protagonistas o como se relacionara con la historia secundaria, no sabemos para que aislaron a unos niños de este apocalipsis, no sabemos como funciona la habilidad del chico, en verdad no nos explica nada y me frustra muchísimo, la historia de los chicos no es nada interesante y la de la organización tampoco, me quede con un anime que pudo hacer muchas mas y mejores cosas pero termino haciendo todo a medias que dejara a muchos con muchos misterios pero para mi fue una serie mas del montón.

Heavenly Delusion is like a donkey endlessly chasing a carrot suspended in front of their head. Except, we are the donkey, and the carrot is the Mystery.

No, you won't learn answers to any of the Big Questions. You'll get blueballed. And oh boy, there are a lot of Big Questions. The mystery is the driving force behind everything here, especially the "creepy orphanage" part. It's why I kept watching, despite mediocre characters and predictable plot that would normally cause me to drop the show. I kept watching, because I wanted to learn the answers, at least to some of the mysteries. I was the donkey ... - the answers were never delivered. Instead, we end at multiple cliffhangers raising even Bigger Questions in addition to those we were still waiting answers for.

Characters and plot are passable at the absolute most. The art is good, but I don't really care about the art as long as it's not ugly.
