romance/drama/harem adapted from visual novels. male protagonist decisions make me feel ntd'd both have satisfying endings (in there own ways) enjoyed both tbh...

Both revolve around music and romance. In the case of WA, the male protagonist is a wimp. In the case of MF, the male protagonist is less of a wimp. BUT the selling point for both series are in their music, both have very strong female singer/seiyu and will not disappoint you in that regards.

same high level of drama though nana is stronger! with some music and some romance while having some comedy~ so awesome!

This overall atmosphere of both of these anime's are similar. While Bokura ga Ita deals with relationships in an everyday setting, White Album sets theirs within the well-loved Idol industry. Both have drama, however White Album may be something for those who like the more intense side that drama can bring.

- Features young adults - Sexual relationships but not ecchi - Characters generally willing to sacrifice their long-term romantic health for immediate intimacy - Main crux of the series is people trying to figure out the differences between sex, love, and lust. - Will either feel very real or very fantastical based on the viewers life experiences with sex and love.

Both anime have a couple of a boy in love with a beautiful pure girl who is becoming famous.

Both very calming and slow paced anime without being boring

Need another anime that teaches you how NOT to treat others? Well look no further! Both involve a male protagonist that cannot seem to help but dig themselves a deeper grave. Rent-a-Girlfriend is meant to be comedic, while White Album is heavier on the drama.

Drama. That word defines what these two series have in similarity for starters. But of course, there's more than that between Kimi ga Nozomu Eien and White Album. Both series has plenty of drama that is presented in a much more realistic and mature way than the typical school life romance series. Thus, expect love triangles, misunderstandings, trials, and even tragedies. Both series also seem contain a psychological like mood also in subsequent episodes. Both series' main protagonist has similar personalities and has a hard time in his life along with some of the other characters. Speaking of, the other characters are also interested in the main protagonist  read more

Both have similar genres: romance, slice of life and drama. Though it doesn't really contain comedy, both anime have a similar theme and aspect of reality and how the real world is out there. In addition to this, both show an aspect of relationships and realistic situations along with realistic reactions to these situations. In my opinion, both demonstrate how we are "human." For example, for Sakurasou No Pet Na Kanojo, we see the building relationships along with the troubles of trying to maintain it. We see how human they are through their emotions and actions towards certain situations, as well as the way  read more

Although Koi Kaze focuses on incest, both have a very similar atmosphere, despite the vast differences of the characters. Once it starts picking up, the story is headed towards a downward spiral of depressing and heavy moods. Both bring powerful, heavy, and realistic emotions into their respective plots. These are no generic shounen, ecchi, nor shoujo romance.

If you like trash romance drama, then White Album is the trash in the dumpster fire that was Domestic Girlfriend

MC is dealing with relationship, except White album is a lot more realistic

the story takes 10 years after the first season, different chatacters also plots and soundtracks are really bapering (bapering isn't even a word) lol

Both dealing with relationship problems and twists between the main characters in realistic setting. Winter Sonata has somewhat less realistic plot at some points and focuses on more mature people - in their late twenties or even thirties, rather than college/university students in White Album. Winter Sonata less "harem" and more oriented into women than men but anyway it is worth to see if you liked White Album.

Also describes relationships of the main character with multiple girls, but each has her own arc. But this anime is much more mature than Amagami SS, yet still very very good.

Story of art, culture, and the lives of students are qualities these two shows share. Intrigue and insight into the world of idols and artists.

Both anime' series' timeframe is somewhat related to college life.

Both animes have an artistic look to them and are strongly romance-based

Both about Girls trying to become Famous.

The drama is just as outrageous as in Peach Girl. Be warned, White Album is not for the faint of heart because sometimes the characters make the ABSOLUTE worse decision they could have possibly made.

Both are harems that focus on older characters and dabble with characters that are very, well, "japanese". Ai Yori Aoshi has a yamato nadeshiko character, while White Album features idol singers. Both shows also deal with themes that are more mature than your typical harem show.

Romance anime that has similar tones. A lot is expressed in these anime outside the dialog. Both series also have characters that are difficult to read at first glance.

Different storylines and environments, but highly similar in tone and type of drama/romance.
