Shows that have a seemingly average school boy that just attracts beautiful girls of all kinds like a magnet and for reasons that only the writers of these stories would know. Within these harems, there is a love triangle going on between the male lead, male lead's girlfriend (female lead 1), and female lead 2.
they both have two messed up dudes with a small harem going along here and there just fucking girls and everything gos crazy but they both I enjoyed very much -wink wink- except for the crazy parts........ they were f'n awesome......... if you think im crazy well I like to take that as a comment bleh :P
Both are psychological series with similar protagonist and a lot of girls around him.
I preferred White Album, because its more interesting and mature than School Days, but overall they are very alike in my opinion. Enjoy!
Both shows feature "Drama" as well as focusing on what happens when a person decides to not just pick one person in a harem.
Both feature a main character who seemingly has no problem with sleeping around with multiple girls and it adapts a well known visual novel.
Both revolve around music and romance. In the case of WA, the male protagonist is a wimp. In the case of MF, the male protagonist is less of a wimp. BUT the selling point for both series are in their music, both have very strong female singer/seiyu and will not disappoint you in that regards.
If you're looking for an anime series with music as one of the major themes mixed in with drama and love complications, then Macross Frontier and White Album might be something worth investing time into.
Both series has the theme of music as a major as the female protagonists tries to make their name known in the industry and following their dreams.
Both series has a love triangle with the male protagonist in the middle. He is indecisive and often makes mistakes but is willing to help others.
Both series also has drama, emotions, and presents some more mature themes as the episodes progresses as we see a glimpse of some of the characters' past histories.
Both series deals with romance that is quite realistic and presented in a more mature way than the typical shoujo style series.
But that's not all..because music plays a key theme in both Nana and White Album.
Both series has comedy (less so in White Album), a lot of drama, romance, and a female protagonist who hopes to make their name known in the music industry through hard work and determination.
Again, both series are quite realistic and generally aimed at more mature audiences.
This overall atmosphere of both of these anime's are similar. While Bokura ga Ita deals with relationships in an everyday setting, White Album sets theirs within the well-loved Idol industry. Both have drama, however White Album may be something for those who like the more intense side that drama can bring.
- Features young adults
- Sexual relationships but not ecchi
- Characters generally willing to sacrifice their long-term romantic health for immediate intimacy
- Main crux of the series is people trying to figure out the differences between sex, love, and lust.
- Will either feel very real or very fantastical based on the viewers life experiences with sex and love.
The first show I thought about when I started watching White Album was I"s Pure.
White Album starts very simillary to I"s Pure's 2nd part - how a relationship of an ordinary man with a rising star progresses.
Though White Album seems to be more eventful.
Drama. That word defines what these two series have in similarity for starters. But of course, there's more than that between Kimi ga Nozomu Eien and White Album.
Both series has plenty of drama that is presented in a much more realistic and mature way than the typical school life romance series. Thus, expect love triangles, misunderstandings, trials, and even tragedies.
Both series also seem contain a psychological like mood also in subsequent episodes.
Both series' main protagonist has similar personalities and has a hard time in his life along with some of the other characters. Speaking of, the other characters are also interested in the main protagonist for different reasons that brings for its realistic drama.
Both have similar genres: romance, slice of life and drama. Though it doesn't really contain comedy, both anime have a similar theme and aspect of reality and how the real world is out there. In addition to this, both show an aspect of relationships and realistic situations along with realistic reactions to these situations. In my opinion, both demonstrate how we are "human." For example, for Sakurasou No Pet Na Kanojo, we see the building relationships along with the troubles of trying to maintain it. We see how human they are through their emotions and actions towards certain situations, as well as the way they think, feel and react. As for White Album, it simply shows how as human as we are, we can't always act sane and calm about every situation be it good or bad, nobody could. As humans, we react to situations differently, whereas in this anime it shows how cruel we can be due to jealousy and hate. Therefore, I suggest to watch White Album as it also has heart melting moments along with tear jerking moments as well. read more
Although Koi Kaze focuses on incest, both have a very similar atmosphere, despite the vast differences of the characters. Once it starts picking up, the story is headed towards a downward spiral of depressing and heavy moods. Both bring powerful, heavy, and realistic emotions into their respective plots. These are no generic shounen, ecchi, nor shoujo romance.
Both dealing with relationship problems and twists between the main characters in realistic setting. Winter Sonata has somewhat less realistic plot at some points and focuses on more mature people - in their late twenties or even thirties, rather than college/university students in White Album. Winter Sonata less "harem" and more oriented into women than men but anyway it is worth to see if you liked White Album.
Both are harems that focus on older characters and dabble with characters that are very, well, "japanese". Ai Yori Aoshi has a yamato nadeshiko character, while White Album features idol singers. Both shows also deal with themes that are more mature than your typical harem show.
