Ore dake Haireru Kakushi Dungeon

It’s nice when a show knows it’s a meme and embraces it. One of my only gripes with an anime is when it takes itself too serious for what it is. Ore Dake is aware that it’s an ecchi fantasy full of waifus and an OP MC, but it embraces it and brings everything together in a way that still allows you to enjoy it.

Simply put, Ore Dake is a good time. There’s no real plot here other than rather shallow excuses for fan service-y interactions between the MC and the girls, but you know what? That’s ok, because they’re great and hilarious. Every anime ... doesn’t need to reinvent the wheel to be great. This is the type of show that you shut your brain off for and sit back for some mindless fun. Week after week I was amazed at the ridiculousness of the antics and just had a blast with this show. It’s actually quite funny, if you asked me to give you a story recap of the show, I honestly couldn’t. All I can say is that I loved it.

The art is really nice in the show, the fight animations were a bit on the meh side, but let’s be real. No one is watching this for the fights. You’re here to laugh and for waifus, and the art is more than good enough on that front.

I don’t think Ore Dake is a must watch, per se, but it is a very enjoyable show that I loved and think many will enjoy. If you’re like me and don’t think every anime needs to be a Monster, Monogatari or Geass in terms of writing, you’ll love this show. Ore Dake gets 9 kisses out of 10.

Another action, adventure, comedy, fantasy anime? Well…why not although we had a lot of those in the past already. It has lots of Ecchi scenes and the fanservice is god-like? REVOLUTIONARY. Count me in.

The studio "Okuruto Noboru" enters a “dangerous dungeon” for the first time with the anime "Ore dake Haireru Kakushi Dungeon". Previously only worked in a few OVAs, they venture into the fantasy, adventure world. Although this genre is nothing new in itself, they managed to do it in a way which doesn't make us bored and asking for more.

Our adventure begins with Noir, the third son of a ... “beggar noble” (the lowest position for a noble). Because of his position, he didn't get his job in the library. Thereupon he decides to go to the "Hero Academy" in order to become stronger and to get a secure job as an adventurer after graduation. Noir was very nice to his fellow men, but he was never particularly strong. One day he discovers a secret dungeon that only he can enter with a secret spell. This is where he started his secret training to get stronger and stronger…

There is a beautiful woman with a large bust and hips in this dungeon: Olivia. She was one of the S-class adventurers and thus one of the strongest at the time. She entered this dungeon, but after defeating a monster, she was handcuffed in death shackles. When Noir met Olivia by chance and appointed her as his master, she decided to pass on her special skills to Noir.

LP (life points) are required to use the special skills. How do you get this? Noir's childhood friend Emma is the main contributor to all of his LPs. Emma has laaaaarge breasts and is very popular with the opposite sex because of her cuteness but she is only interested in Noir and really loves him. She is willing to do anything for Noir and to get him the necessary LPs with kisses and well… “other things” like that. Everything that is "fun" for a simple man increases the LPs. Noir and Emma has a very close relationship since childhood. They did everything together. Both of them also decided to take on the job in the library. But after Noir was rejected, Emma decided to follow him to the Academy. She really is the vital supporter for Noir.

Let’s take a look at the other two main characters and their role in this little “Noir-clan”. First, we have the Odin Guild receptionist Lola. She is a beauty of the calm and collected sort with an air of maturity around her. Lola was the one who welcomed Noir when he joined the guild, she was always on good terms with him and Noir also helped Lola in receptionist battles. She is clever and knows how to motivate her guild and especially Noir.

Lola's best friend Luna is the last girl in the “Noir-troupe”. All in all, she’s a super beauty and has a good personality. Luna is convinced that it is her mission to save people and make them smile. But whenever she heals someone, it uses up her life energy and this shortens her lifespan. Noir managed to edit her skill in a way not consuming her life-force. Since that point, she fell victim to his charm and decided to stick with Noir as well. Even if all the female characters certainly love their hero Noir, it must be mentioned that they also support each other.

In addition to our main characters, we have the teacher Elna who rewards her male students by sitting on their faces. Maria, a real beauty who really has her heart in the right place as a duke. Her loyal bodyguard Amane, who always takes care of her. Of course, we cannot forget Alice, Noir's younger sister, who has a brother complex and adores her brother above all else. She has a special power which allow her to sense when her brother is getting intimate with other girls. Besides these girls, there are a few more who play a minor role. But one thing is certain: All of these girls are top tier!

It cannot be denied that the art really stands out. All the girls are shown amiable and the fanservice is of high quality. The surroundings are also very beautiful and detailed. Everything fits together perfectly.
The adventure of our group begins with the OP "Pyramid Dai Gyakuten" which tell us to be ready for some action. Prepare yourself for a new adventure that will come your way! The ED “Nemophila”, on the other hand, is about the deep relationship between Noir and Emma. Watching the animation during this song is particularly nice. Each picture tells a little story from their past together. They are a perfect couple. Besides the music, the Seiyuus did a great job performing their role. Their voice and all the emotions go very well with the character.

As someone who generally likes this genre and also watched similar anime like "Konosuba", "Shachou, Battle no Jikan Desu!" or “Princess Connect! Re:Dive “ before, I am also very enthusiastic about "Ore Dungeon". It's a typical anime where you can just switch off for a bit and enjoy the things. Don't think too much about it, just follow the adventure with our characters. The fan service part is very successful and I mean we already experience more kisses in the first episode than in many romance anime. Sure, it's not the same, but it's certainly not a bad thing in my opinion. Noir is surely a lucky guy. I agree that the plot is uncreative and we have had such things before already. Still, I don't see any reason not to like "Ore Dungeon" just because of this point. If you enjoyed other similar anime, you will like “Ore Dungeon” as well.

In the end, I can only say: Just enjoy the adventures and all the S-tier waifus. Let's hope for a second season with even more adventures from our little group!

||Spoiler Free Review|| TLDR - 9/10 It looks great and it's entertaining. Worth a shot if you don't mind some ecchi. Sequels aside, i'd say it's the hidden gem of winter 2021.

Art:
The art is fantastic. You have beautiful thick lines of shading, well drawn art and above average production values. Ep1 showcases 2D hand animated background sequences which are rare these days considering their immense difficulty to animate.

Sound:
It's professional and the music is slightly above average.

Story & Characters:
As of writing this review only 4 episodes are out and i can say it has been very interesting following the main character's adventures. Characters are memorable ... and their designs are lovely.

Enjoyment:
The show is lighthearted and funny. Very enjoyable. Fans of RPGs will especially like it.

You can argue that Ore Dake is yet another generic fantasy anime with an ecchi harem plot, and you’ll be right, because it never pretends to be something else than a generic fantasy anime with an ecchi harem plot. Ore Dake Haireru Kakushi Dungeon centres on Noir Starga, who is an ostracized noble because of his low peerage; however, Noir has the unique power of consulting a Sage to help him in varied circumstances, but severely draining his energy as an after effect. One day, after wandering about in the land, he got lost in a dungeon and met a young immobile woman called Olivia, ... who only communicates by mental waves, and gives him new powers to survive. And with the help of de facto girlfriend Emma, sensual receptionist Lola and eccentric half-elf Luna, Noir will try to become a Hero and your average merchant.

Please take in account that entering this dungeon review will show you spoilers.

Story (8/10):
Noir Starga is a low level noble who has the access to unlimited knowledge to a sage, only to drain his life for using it, so he uses on restricted occasions to avoid fatal consequences. He only has a normal dream of becoming a librarian, along with his childhood friend and arguably girlfriend Emma Brightness.

The same Noir, while exploring the land, gets into a mysterious dungeon where he enters a secret chamber only to meet a vegetative girl bound by chains called Olivia Servant; this young woman offers rare powers to the young adventurer by telematics. After acquiring those new abilities, Noir returned to the town, and then he decided, against the wishes of his family, to enter the Hero Academy, along with Emma.

In order to enter the academy, Noir and Emma need to do certain things to reach a passing grade, this in spite of the massive hate he receives from the students with higher peerages because of Noir’s baronet peerage. Despite their entire negative comments during the gradings, both easily passed the admission test in the first place.

Much to the chagrin of Emma, Noir starts getting along with the academy girls by using his charms and the creative powers he keeps acquiring, specially the frail Maria, and even his main teacher, and this not only applies to the school. That’s when they go to the adventure guild to earn some coins, they meet Lola, a pretty girl who is the receptionist, and clearly falls in love with Noir, even considering his total inexperience on adventuring. Maria’s ever worsening health prompts all three to reach Lola’s healer best friend, the half-elf Luna.

Initially, Luna totally rejects the job due to her also ever decreasing lifespan due to habitual healing and Maria’s extremely demanding curse; then Noir intervenes to overwrite her attributes to neutralize the curse with a reducing wealth instead of a reducing lifespan, forcing the three to enter a contest to get a harem. Finally, after earning so much geld to amortize possible debts, Luna finally cures Maria.

With the worst already behind, Noir and his harem, decided to start focusing in creating a shop about rare items they’ve gotten during their adventures. Alongside, Noir and Emma keep getting closer and closer, to the point that the Brightness family invited him to be Emma’s guardian to prevent her for being kidnapped; their close physical contact and kissing became a constant, evolving from only kissing Noir to alleviate his draining, to being a sign of mutual trust.

Their increasing relationship pushes Emma and Noir to travel the hidden dungeon to search for Olivia in order to save her, only to be attacked by an Olivia clone that was bound to Death Chains and severely hurting Noir in the way. No matter how much the Starga primogenitor tried to attack Death Chained Olivia while sacrificing almost all his acquired powers, she always one upped him, even with the help of his harem, Emma, Lola, Luna and Lelia. Noir, reaching a breaking point and sacrificing almost all his creative powers, finally destroys the Death Chains and saves Olivia without killing her.

Art and animation (7/10):
The animation seem too standard and nothing inventive, the characters look distinguishable and well-drawn, highlighting Emma Brightness (yes, I do like big breasted blonde girls, and I’m not ashamed at all) and the sensei Elna; however, the studio Oku Noboru is completely new, and Ore Dake is one of its first forages onto TV anime, the next one will be another generic fantasy anime with an ecchi harem plot, Isekai Maou.

Backgrounds seem decent, relatively well detailed; the colour panels are pretty colourful, but never getting too oversaturated like in fellow Winter 2021 anime Wonder Egg Priority.

Sound (9/10):
The sound is pretty tranquil and happy, the seiyuus are pretty serviceable, but already established, Ryouta Osaka has already got experience on harem leads like Nariyuki Yuiga (Bokuben), Miyu Tomita voicing Gabriel White (Gabriel Dropout), Rumi Okubo in doing annoying girls like Chinatsu Yoshikawa (Yuru Yuri); and the more well-known voice actress like Akari Kitou doing Luna, Sora Amamiya as Master Elna and Yui Horie hanekawazing Olivia Servant.

The opening Pyramid Dai Gyakuten, sung by Spira Spice is quite upbeat, who also sang in the controversial anime Okaasan Online; Coala Mode sings the more depressive Nemophila. The background music is well written, never too loud and never too quiet.

Characters (8/10):
The characters are pretty generic, but all of them serve a determined purpose, I’ll only talk about Noir, Emma, Lola and Luna:

Noir Starga is your typical generic adventure hero, gets all the girls without any effort at all, but I would highlight that he doesn’t shy away of girls and he’s very protective of them, and has a very positive relationship with Emma, even considering the initial kissing motives.

Emma Brightness is the classical childhood friend who becomes too well endowed and gets all eyes put on her, but breaking the traditional and always negative ending of osananajimis, by finally being the de facto girlfriend and much needed companion of Noir.

Lola is clearly the traditional oneesan-like receptionist who after questioning heavily Noir abilities gets too infatuated on him. Competitive by nature, she always tries to get Noir to her side without withholding any barrels, and trying to be the best receptionist of her guild.

Luna is the all too well-known half-elf who is helpful with anybody by curing their aliments, even putting her life in risk, a master on healing, she too became enamoured on Noir, but gives him the right space and doesn’t pressure him.

Enjoyment (10/10):
How can I enjoy an anime that is way too generic and doesn’t add anything new to the genre? It’s simple, the simplicity and the amicable character of the anime, never going too overboard on fanservice, maintaining all the tropes that characterize the generic fantasy anime with ecchi harem plot.

The show is no magnum opus, nor nothing highly venerable, it just works well within the limitations of the genre, only trying to break the mold of the osananajimi finally getting the ultimate prize (if she didn’t already got it).

Those who see nothing valuable in Ore Dake are the same overly purist to never like something generic or unimpressive, I do find valuable Hidden Dungeon for the sole purpose of entertaining and giving us a nice big breasted blonde girl who can stand up on her own. And yes, I’m partial to Emma.

Final Score: 9/10.

Seriously feel good anime. Its better to go in with no expectations, you'll enjoy it for what it is. First its a parody, and its corny but endearing. Forget shounen, this is a slice of life with comedic elements and some very tastefully handled ecchi.
Everyone's in on it, and that makes it work. There is a point where the MC is putting one of the characters to sleep or something, and she says "make me your slave", but then changes it to something else. The viewer and the characters know what she meant, but it gets played off in a way it makes you chuckle. ... There are moments like that throughout the show. The only bummer is that its not longer. I'm rooting for a second season.

This is a super easy anime to review. This is purely dumb fantasy harem where you must throw out all logic and reason to enjoy.

Plot
Basically, MC gains a skill to create skills, grant them to anyone/anything, modify them and even remove them. but it drains his life points for doing. He can gain life points by doing happy things like eating tasty food, earning money or **doing ecchi stuff**. the anime is mostly him farming waifus, while trying to become stronger smh.There's not much of an overarching goal/plot or anything. Story arc starts, MC uses his god tier skill to solve it, but he ... needs to earn the required points. so, anime gets an ecchi tag :).

Now, ignore everything above. because the plot is just there for convenience. Most of it doesn't make any sense if you use more than one braincell. But that's why you do not use your brain when you watch this anime. Just enjoy the fan service and energetic waifus. There's lots of cleavage, panty shots and rubbing MC with their bodies etc.. going on.

Characters
My favorite characters are his sister who is a huge brocon and his father who always get berated. The harem itself is also made up of lovely characters who each have their own place. None of them are like really "memorable", But pretty much all characters in the main story that get introduced have lots of energy. So, you rarely ever get bored at any moment.

Art/Music
Pretty basic. but they are not so bad as to ruin the anime either.

Enjoyment
This is where this anime shines. Although most of it is just a basic harem template, the anime manages to do that properly. It never takes too long to resolve the serious stuff, because it has a weird self awareness of how long it should spend before moving back to the regular ecchi/comedy parts.

Trigger Warning
MC gets all the happiness in this world for barely any effort at all. All he does is do ecchi stuff with ladies to gain points and spend them to resolve any problems. obvious plot holes will get ignored and magically things will fall into place for MC smh. So, prepare yourself to accept any direction the plot goes. You will be rage baiting yourself if you take this too seriously.

This review is based on the first four episodes of Ore dake Haireru Kakushi Dungeon or Hidden Dungeon as I'll refer to it. This anime is a fantasy ecchi, and a fairly competent one I would say. It manages to employ all those fantastic elements and tropes of the genre while avoiding their pitfalls for the most part. It's not the most well written story, but it's art and animation are well done, it's characters are enjoyable, and it's worth a watch if you don't have a strong aversion to the genre.

The premise of this anime is that our main character, Noir, stumbles into a ... hidden dungeon where he meets Olivia who bestows the 'Get Creative' ability onto him. The plot and story are largely driven by this ability, so it's worth exploring it. The ability requires LP or life points to use and it plays off the power trope where a character does something ecchi to fuel their power. This is often a fantastical and silly power, however here it actually feels grounded. Beyond sexual encounters, general pleasures seemingly will allow him to regain LP, the examples given and used are things like delicious food or frivolous uses of money on desirable things. This obviously is used to drive the ecchi of the series, but it makes sense and doesn't feel contrived for it. If you've played JRPGs this will probably seem logical to you, as they often use food items to heal or recover much in the same way.

I find that the story as it is so far deserves a 6/10, is it incredibly gripping or anything, not really. However, this is obviously meant to be a fun ecchi focused anime, as such something overly contrived or written would detract from the goal. That's not to say it's entirely uninteresting, it's just better temper expectations. The line of what is happening so far is well executed, and some interesting implications for the future of the story are present. I just wouldn't count on all this to be delivered on in a strong way, better to be pleasantly surprised than disappointed.

The art has been consistently quite good, which is important for an ecchi so this is a strong positive to have. However, the animation feels a bit inconsistent so far, while episodes one and four were both good, two had some not so great moments and three was just alright. I suspect that episode two will be an unfortunate exception overall, so I'm not too concerned about this. Regardless, Hidden Dungeon manages to deliver on what we're here for mostly and has it's moments of nice animation as well. 8/10

Sound 7/10, like many anime it's not doing anything too special, some spots where the sfx stands out as nice, but the OST is very typical. The voice acting itself is pretty good and most voices feel quite fitting to their character. I also quite liked the ED's song in particular.

The characters are an 8/10 as they are rather fantastic all around. Noir the main character is an odd one, both somewhat typical good guy mc, and simultaneously a bit of a savage who sometimes just says what's on his mind. He also goes out of his way to get the ecchi moments and never really shys away. His childhood friend is Emma Brightness who is cute and bubbly, is a rather hilarious character especially as more ecchi happens and harem members join the party. On the Emma Brightside (please kill me) for her she is winning the harem race rather comfortably, having gone the farthest with Noir. Lola is the guild receptionist who acts in the information broker role for Noir. She's quite forward and is attracted to success and a man who gets results. She's fanastic, a valuable harem member, and she lost that bet when she was introduced, highlight of the ecchi so far. Luna is the last member of the harem, and the one we know the least about so far unfortunately. She a gun cleric elf who has a strong sense of duty, and some notable skills that affect her stoic personality in humorous ways.

Lastly there is Olivia, she is the immoral compass of the series so it seems, bestowing knowledge and power upon Noir, the lonely goddess (not actually a goddess) chained to our mortal world. She's clearly an absolute degenerate and an asshole, in fact she seems to have the soul of a lecherous old gentleman. She's a troll who likes to tease and berate Noir at every turn, you know, when he actually visits. Much like how people used to think the sun revolves around the earth, you probably think the harem revolves around Noir, but no bitch it's Olivia's harem and Noir is just part of it.

My personal enjoyment of this anime so far is an 8/10, it's clearly not remotely the best anime ever or even this season. However, this anime's comedy has been on point, and the ecchi is enjoyable.

Overall 8/10, honestly Hidden Dungeon doesn't have as many flaws as you might expect. If you go into with an open mind, and again you're not averse to the genre, you will likely find this to be a quite enjoyable and fairly well made anime. It's biggest flaw is the season itself being overly abundant with amazing anime from sequels like Re:Zero to newly airing anime like Mushoku Tensei. So in that sense this might be something to watch later in a slower season.

Ore Dake is not intended for those offended by lewd displays in animation. It shamelessly panders to popular kinks found throughout the ecchi genre, such as loli and onii-chan and big titty childhood friend fanservice, and doesn’t particularly care whether you object to these displays or not. This is precisely why the user score is so low, as the holier than thou section of the MAL community will reject anime of its ilk based upon the perverted premise alone.

However, those who are less prudish about cartoon eroticism may appreciate how Ore Dake presents absurd situations in an entirely comedic light - always self aware about ... what absurdity it is presenting to the viewer, rarely taking itself seriously. This allows the non prude to suspend their moral boundaries and enjoy the hijinks as they are intended to be received. If you can reach this level of understanding, then Ore Dake becomes a quality ecchi comedy, managing to entertain with silliness as much as it does titillate with fanservice from very cute girls and a MC who is morally obligated to touch them.

Like so many other ecchi, the narrative set up exists purely for the sake of justifying the fanservice - a young heroic adventurer Noir must engage in erotic acts in order to replenish his life points and enable the use of his magical skills. What makes this gimmick particularly effective, is that there are many situations where an obstacle appears that cannot be cleared without a certain LP threshold. Sometimes its a monster that is too powerful to defeat otherwise. Other times it may be a curse that he has to cure, but needs enough points to do so. The sense of urgency that is created from these objectives, and the fact that engaging in perversion is the lone solution to solving these obstacles, gives rise to the comedy as you watch dire crisis become cleared by utterly ridiculous solutions.

Another way this gimmick is effective, is in the sheer variety in ways that Noir does gain his power through erotic acts. In one episode it may be a kiss, another a panty flash, another he may get a lap dance, another his face might get sat on (don't kink shame bro) use your creativity and it probably happens here short of sex. This keeps the fanservice from ever becoming particularly stale or repetitive, an issue that many fanservice shows run into. I can safely say that this is one of the more creative ecchi in recent memory, in terms of how the service is executed in the short window of one cour.

It is a prerequisite that good ecchi have multiple best girl candidates, and that is certainly the case here. Each of Noir's harem has their own valid case and do appeal to different lewd tastes. What makes them especially likeable is that nearly all receive a dedicated episode of exposition that explains the motivations of their character. You learn a good deal about what drives them, and also get an understanding of why they grow to love Noir. It's not just because he's the main character, or that he's strong, he genuinely wants to help them out of the goodness of his heart and is very reliable.
It is also very important to note that all the fanservice is equally reciprocated - Noir isn't a rapist or sexual harasser, nor does he receive any unwanted advances. The girls are just as perverted as he is, if not more so.

One may also appreciate the periodical humor in this show, particularly as it relates to pop culture. Tifa Lockhart from Final Fantasy 7 is in this anime. Don't ask me why. Younger Toguro from Yu Yu Hakusho is in this anime. Also don't ask me why. You know how almost every adventure MC has a goal related to their journeys? Meh, Noir wanted to be a librarian so that his family could earn a stable income. Ore Dake lays it thick with the homages and contradictions to popular adventure rpg tropes, but not so much so that it becomes obnoxious or even too obscure for the viewer to spot. If you've ever played a RPG, and have even the slightest understanding of Japanese media, you're gonna spot the homages throughout this show and probably laugh at how they are cleverly delivered.

It is typical for one cour shows of this ilk to have an incomplete ending that leaves you hanging, as the anime is merely intended to be a teaser for the source material. Ore Dake bucks that trend and actually concludes itself nicely by the end, while also leaving room for an additional season if need be. Such a continuation would give me reason to increase the score above an eight.

Should you watch Ore Dake? Yeah, if you don't abhor ecchi. It's designed for those who who can tolerate the genre and is never off putting enough to cross a point of no return that makes you question your morals. Generally a fun time with likable and cute characters, a funny set up that doesn't run out of creativity all the way until the end, and even becomes surprisingly dramatic at times as the tone shifts at various points. In all you have a pretty damn solid show for the genre, that is better than what the MAL score says it is as per usual for ecchi works.

according to the expected genre this is enough good. But unfortunately it's still not brave enough to show its ecchi level. What I mean is less vulgar, but overall it's quite comfortable and pleasant to watch. What I like is that it is not verbose where the essence of the expected scenes must be there and fast. Not too much long dialogue, and straight to the point. In some fight scenes, there is a lack of animation but enough to be enjoyed, I mean the essence of the story is the fan service. But of course it builds the story well so that from the ... beginning to the ending it is good and suitable. The music is pretty good and I got a lot of konosuba vibes on the intro. This anime fits the genre's expectations and is fun enough to be enjoyed and the story is really light and not burdensome. Lots of funny scenes that suit the perverted humor and are hilarious.

Look look the mc is a fucking pimp bro unlike other mcs he actually has the balls to make some of the first moves homies is literally the definition of a pimp he has fucked noble bitches and is even getting some sweet "ass" time with one of his teachers this man is goated. Homie is literally op too he can literally create immortality if he wanted to and he could even grant it to others of course if he wanted to save up the LP for it well that's just a theory of mine but the MC is goated the sounds aka the moans ... are fucking awesome the art is really good as well the story is kind of just like a comedy so don't expect a main plot for the story I really enjoyed it as well overall it's a solid 8 or 9 for me.

I found this anime to be around a 8/10 as it did have good story and character development and also the Cast of characters had very interesting traits that was unique upon most Fantasy anime's, The only problem I had though is the "Plot Armor" due to the things that if a thing in the anime's story goes wrong the main protagonist is so "weak" and "unstable" and then two seconds later they Either somehow get through the problem or just become absolutely for like half the episode and then basically don't do the same thing, But i get determination stuff and all that, But ... to be honest it is a awesome anime to watch, i sadly went through it in one day and yeah overall 8/10.

There's generic harem OP MC Isekai, then there's the trash tier dumpster fire hella' entertaining OP MC Isekai; this one belongs to the latter.

I won't sugarcoat anything, this is just a notch above generic isekai. There's no character growth here or deep and complex character motivation. World building is at stupid levels, and there's no complexity in this story BUT, you know what else is lacking in this story that makes all the difference? The EXCUSES.

This story is unapologetic in its garbageness, there is no leap of logic to make sense of why the MC is OP, there is no justification, there is no ... moralizing or any of the sort. This story is dumb af and it doesn't give a shit what the general public thinks. It wants to tell a story and it does so.

If you like the OP MC isekai niche and you just want to pass the time then there's a good amount of enjoyment here. If you're looking for anything deeper, then touching this will probably give you cancer.

Honestly, there's a bit of an wider issue with viewers disliking ecchi as an theme and inappropriately rating anime poorly as a consequence. A title is not bad because it has ecchi, especially when they're intentionally that way. If viewers dislike it then save yourself the angst and watch another title because ‘The Hidden Dungeon Only I Can Enter’ is targeted at those who do get some entertainment out of it.

And ‘entertaining’ is how you appreciate this title. It’s not deep and it’s not complicated, but it IS fun.. frequently laugh out loud funny due to some of the slapstick antics. Noir’s journey in this ... fantasy world setting is a fairly classic tale of growth and saving-the-day. However as an MC he is appreciatively not crippled by paralysing gynophobia or indecisiveness; and the wider harem girls are all interesting and sufficiently motivated for logical reasons.

The story hangs together nicely with the various plot devices progressing at a decent pace culminating satisfyingly by the final episode (even though the source material does continue). Art is good and whilst animation could be done better it never really detracts from the enjoyment. Insofar as this kind of title goes, the only real let down is some sub-standard sound but many titles do it much much worse.

‘The Hidden Dungeon Only I Can Enter’ just like Burger King, is an anime with all the right ingredients for a tasty meal that will leave you feeling satisfied and content.. provided you don’t go into it expecting the fine-dining experience (and that you don’t have something against ecchi)!

I really like this anime, I've seen it a few times and I enjoy it quite abit. It's a good anime to watch when you just want to relax and not think about a crazy storyline or plot. It's not the funniest anime but it has a lot of funny moments and it's easy to watch.


Story: 7/10 - the story is Ok I guess, it's nothing too complex or crazy. It's well paced, and has a good amount of content. It's a harem adventure comedy anime, so it crosses a few genres. It also has a fairly OP MC that still has his share of ... issues to deal with so he is kind of relatable and likable.


Art: 7/10 - the animation is good and pretty decent quality, there wasn't any CGI that I noticed and the action scenes were well done and didnt look blurry or choppy, the magic effects looked ok also. There were a few different environments so it's wasn't too repetitive and had a good balance.


Sound: 7/10 - I actually liked the OP & ED in this anime, they had a nice sound with decent rhythm . The SFX were good and didnt overpower the characters voices and the source music was well placed and helped add some depth to the scenes.


Characters: 8/10 - I actually liked the MC in this anime considering I find that a lot of harem MCs are kinda lame in one way or another. He seemed to have his priorities straight and wasn't a giant pervert. The female characters are all well done and they have nice "personalities" and really make this anime more fun to watch. The English dubbed voice acting was good in my opinion and I plan on watching the original with English subtitles soon to compare the two.


Enjoyment: 8/10 - I really liked this anime the first time I watched it and I honestly enjoyed watching it again before I wrote this review. If you have a decent sense of humor and you enjoy watching ecchi anime I'm sure you will enjoy this anime also. It has some decent comedic moments and for the most part the series is really upbeat.


Overall: 7/10 - it's a good anime that doesn't require a lot of brain power to watch it, you can just sit down and decompress while watching a funny anime with some cute waifus to look at. If you are open minded and enjoy all genres of anime then you should enjoy this anime aswell. Also it has some funny moments if you have a decent sense of humor.

There are Animes that create a story and then continue to add Fanservice and then there are Animes where the basis is the Fanservice and you add the story later. Ore dake Haireru Kakushi Dungeon is definitely the latter, but it's well aware of that and therefore is able to keep up with a pretty good sense of Humor. If you just want to watch something with Waifus, boobs and some comedy in it and don't expect too much animation etc. This is pretty much it.


The story is a solid 6/10 the characters are like a 7/10 but overall if you just want some ecchi ... to kick back and laugh at this is pretty much what you're searching for.

Personally, it's very rare to find an anime where the main protagonist is decently overpowered and actually uses his power slowly. Unlike other animes where the main protagonist either instantly destroys everything around them or a story that just drags out its time for revenue.
I have finished the series and I did not find any unnecessary narrating in this anime.
The story is quite original from what I have seen and I did not find any similarities with other anime so: 9/10

The art style and animation were overall quite smooth and pleasing to look at. 8/10
The sound of this anime ... was smooth and did not have any irritating noises that would create a displeasing feel to it. 10/10

The characters of this anime could be improved due to the fact that it is following the typical Harem fantasy and ecchi themes however I found my self craving to see more of these characters due to them having pretty unique abilities and personality the design of these characters could be improved but overall for the character would be a 10/10.

For the first few episodes of this anime, I believed that the character would be overpowered and instantly wipe out everything around him but instead, Ore dake Haireru Kakushi Dungeon actually takes a different approach from it and gives the MC the powers needed to become overpowered however we see him slowly level himself up to help others. I found myself longing for more episode after it has completed airing. It is quite rare to find an overpowered character and actually see how he needs to consider what move he should make to get stronger even having one of the most powerful skills in that fantasy world. Overall Enjoyment 10/10.

If you have watched anime for a while, you're already familiar with the term "Good trash". If you don't know what that is, Domestic na Kanojo, Eromanga-sensei, Monster Musume, and many other anime like that. This, is one of the "good trash" anime.

My score for this might be low, but this anime was surprisingly annoying and enjoyable at the same time.

Now, a little word of advice: Don't take the anime seriously at all, you'll regret it if you do. The story is just plain trash, once you realize the one big plothole in the anime, the story is instantly ruined. That's why I chose to ... forget that the story exist.

Noir's power is so shit, he literally became a god. He has the power to edit anything, which includes anyone's skill, he can create skills, all these actions cost LP, LP is achieved when someone does sexy stuff with Noir like kissing or if something perverted happens with him, or if he is satisfied after eating a lot of food or getting reward.
The moment you realize that he can just use the edit or create skill to farm infinite LP and become a god, and free Olivia, the story is just ruined.

But who cares about story when they keep throwing boobs and ass at your face.

Now let's talk about the real 'plot', the boobs and ass. I'd be lying if I said I watched it for any other reason. I read the manga even before an anime was announced, I solely watched it for the nonsensical harem. After last week's traditional obligatory hot spring episode, I'm proud to say that the anime is successful at what it's doing.

The characters are amazing, they are very 'developed', but only the female ones if you know what I mean, especially Emma, she has magical boobs which bounces on their own.
Noir, on the other hand, is the worst character in the entire anime, he is full of shit. His voice is annoying to listen to, it sounds like a helium voice changer. He acts like a wimp all of the time, he's pathetic.

The animation is bad. The fight scenes are so bad, they're hilarious. Animation isn't good at all, except... The boobs and the ass. Yes, looks like the budget for this anime was low and they decided to pour all the budget into the boobs and ass, which was a wise decision.

The sound however, is extraordinary. No I'm not talking about the voice acting. I'm talking about the great ending sequence, which deserves a better anime, which is not this one. The opening sequence is good but not great.

Enjoyment? Yes, I enjoyed it very much. I enjoyed to it for every episode at least 2-3 times, I enjoyed it so much that I got tired and started sweating after a while. This was an enjoying anime.

Harem with male main character, is a purely average anime, but it excels in
one thing, namely the depiction of various perversions, from sniffing buttocks, feets, licking ears, in almost every episode. Expect French kisses ending in stretching saliva.

For some people, like me it can be a bit disgusting, so be prepared, or dont watch if you have problems with ASMR of ears licking!!!


Okey, if you are still here, its at all interesting to see, I will compare this anime with Highschool DxD but in 15+ format, I really need to say that this is content not for someone ... who is younger. If you plan to watch, you should also look after outro song, sometimes there is etchi short scene like a bonus....

- Character development, explain very easily and it's easy to follow everything

- Ecchi, yeah it's pretty good, not abused at all as it's following correctly the anime, and the part is funny, so, it deserves to be here

- Nothing, i hope it continue like that, it's not boring and everything is new

Conclusion:
This anime is very funny, easily viewable, not abusing on the ecchi as it is "necessary"
... For me, this anime deserve 10/10, i'm excited to see what next and to see the newest episode when it's out !

Firstly, I truly think this series has a lot of potential. Not only does it set itself in a way that lets it naturally generate possible new content but it also lets you see character building. Now even though I think the story isn't bad, the sound is awful. First of all, both sub and dub have weird audio problems that feel like the minimal amount of money was put into it. If you've watched it, you probably know what I'm talking about. Its so weird that I cant even explain how or why its happening. Not only that but the character and story when ... put together has lost so much meaning. I literally thought of jokes it SHOULD have had in some scenes that the show made so boring! Everything feels depressed and upsetting to watch. Overall enjoyment drops every time this happens and it happens a lot. Should you watch it? If the description fits your interest then maybe you should but just know that it feels like a small budget anime.
