This is a wholesome anime.
Well, about the story, is enjoyable and you will have fun watching this. You will certainly find this rather laughable or hilarious (if you got some sense of humour). There's nothing else to say, because there's no mindful twists or complex equations here, (well at least if you are old enough). It's basically a slice of life with lots of gags and comedy.
At least we got a college setting for a change which is a big plus.
One thing to say is that this anime will constantly bamboozle the viewer, which improves the comedy sense of this show. Literally this anime will ... keep messing around with you, (at some point you will even feel like the bartender of this anime).
My final remark is 8/10, because is entertaining, wholesome and was fun to watch.

Despite the constant criticism from SJW's on Twitter and redraw challenges, Uzaki-Chan was unironically one of my fave shows of the year. It's funny, cute, wholesome and a genuinely good watch. Together with Nagatoro and Takagi-san it forms the holy trinity of teasing manga/anime. If you're familiar with those other series, you know what you can expect from Uzaki. I found the slice of life weekly adventures with Uzaki and senpai to be really cute. I don't typically laugh at anime, but I often found myself nearly in tears from how funny some situations were in the show.

Although it's a teasing comedy, there is also ... solid development for Uzaki and senpai as they come to terms with their feelings for one another and it was a joy to see it play out. Quality wise, I actually really like the design of characters in the show, particularly Uzaki. It's SoL so not much to speak of animation wise, but the voice actors in the show do an excellent job.

Overall, Uzaki is a fun watch, nothing earth shattering or unique, but that doesn't mean something isn't good. If you're a fan of Takagi-San, Nagatoro-San manga or just enjoy comedy slice of life anime, it's worth checking out. Uzaki-chan gets 8 sugoi dekai out of 10.

I just love In the final year of World War II, the Allies prepared for a costly invasion of the Japanese mainland. This undertaking was preceded by a conventional and firebombing campaign that devastated 67 Japanese cities. The war in Europe concluded when Germany surrendered on May 8, 1945, and the Allies turned their full attention to the Pacific War. By July 1945, the Allies' Manhattan Project had produced two types ... of atomic bombs: "Fat Man", a plutonium implosion-type nuclear weapon; and "Little Boy", an enriched uranium gun-type fission weapon. The 509th Composite Group of the United States Army Air Forces was trained and equipped with the specialized Silverplate version of the Boeing B-29 Superfortress, and deployed to Tinian in the Mariana Islands. The Allies called for the unconditional surrender of the Imperial Japanese armed forces in the Potsdam Declaration on July 26, 1945, the alternative being "prompt and utter destruction". Japan ignored the ultimatum and the war continued.

So this is from the pov of someone who hasn't read the manga. This has been a very relaxing and fun series to watch, I binged all 12 episodes in a few hours! I love romance anime overall, but honestly in my opinion, I didn't really see them as a romantic couple that much (maybe they enforce this more in the manga?). Even so, this anime is still very entertaining with simple yet fun characters. All the characters were enjoyable; no one was "overbearing" or difficult to watch. Aside from the romantic aspect, their overall relationship is very endearing to watch develop. Even if it ... was strictly platonic, you'd still want to see their interactions. I gave this anime an overall rating of 7 (good) because fairly enough, the anime alone is a decent slice of life and entertaining enough to finish, but obviously not an animation masterpiece in my opinion. I'll definitely check out the manga to see how their relationship develops because I know the anime (almost never) does romantic manga justice.

Writing this review is surprisingly hard, as I am overall conflicted on my subjective interpretations of what I see. In essence, I am not certain anything that it does is intentional or not.

Gonna be frank with you, Uzaki-chan is the first anime in this romcom genre that I have seen attempt to have a thematic discussion. While it certainly is not perfect, the conflict between Sakurai's extreme introverted personality and Uzaki's outgoing extroverted personality is strangely compelling. However, the anime never attempts to shove this idea in your face, choosing a much laxer and more compelling approach. But before I talk about the good things ... in this show, I will summarise the bad things.

Obviously, my largest issue is the amount of in-your-face fan service they do, because, let's be honest, having massive bahongers doesn't improve or add to the story in any way. The animators clearly wanted something to allure a different audience than romcom’s usually attract, and although it does set up some surprisingly humorous jokes, it is not something I could claim to be a ‘good’ feature. But to anyone who claims this is all Uzaki-chan has to offer, I say either, "Did you actually watch the entire show?" or “Please go and learn what can actually be defined as a good story.”

You see, just because something has blatant fan-service and writing specially tailored to place the characters in situations where fan service can be created, is in no way indicative of overall writing quality. It is not difficult to have both an ecchi and a well written show, in much the same way you can have an ‘over the top’ story be deep and meaningful. While I would not consider FMA:B to be a flawless masterpiece, it strikes a remarkable balance between dumb humour and genuine philosophy. Now, Uzaki-chan is not like some kind of holy grail though, because it does fumble a couple of times with this, but it generally does a pretty good job.

Omitting any significant spoilers, Uzaki is, as aforementioned, an extreme extrovert. When she encounters Sakurai, her foil, she sees it as an opportunity to ‘give the loner a friend’. Many say that this is stupid or dumb, that introverts are not unhappy depressed isolationists with no life, completely missing the point that Uzaki is an intellectually dumb character, and this is simply her uninformed interpretation of Sakurai’s condition. In fact, a main point of growth for her is the realisation that her first impression is completely wrong.

The show does this by making Sakurai an introvert, but a realistic one. Most shows fall into the trap that shy and ‘keep-to-themselves’ people have an innate dislike for others or a total lack of confidence, which is just ludicrous. Instead, Sakurai, like me and many other introverted people, suffers from no such issues, favouring a small group of friends over a large one, and avoiding outspokenness because he finds it tiring. Uzaki discovers that he has a job, and is extremely fit and toned. That he can be kind and honest, as well as a real hunk to draw in the older customers. Sakurai’s character is not breaking the mould, the writers are simply avoiding the stereotypical depiction of introverts in media with sufficient success.

A large amount of the negative reviews to Uzaki-chan make a comment on her obscene pushiness towards Sakurai. To them I would say, “Have you ever met people before?” Being pushy and standoffish is literally a personality trait, not some kind of mythical unicorn that only appears under the full moon of bad character writing. The world is full of people who have opposing opinions to your own, and writing characters as such shows skill, not incompetence. However, this only matters because it drives the core theme of the show: labelling is dumb.

Sakurai is presented as a verbose juxtaposition to Uzaki’s opinion of reserved people, but the entire point of the show is to remind people that stupid labels like introvert and extrovert are completely meaningless. Uzaki falls in love with Sakurai, and vice versa, not because they are opposites, but because they like and respect each other as people. It is actually rather refreshing to experience this hot-take after wading through countless meaningless stories with no thematic or symbolistic weight to them.

So, with all that said, why only a score of 8? Well, the fan-service knocks off about 0.5, some major contrivances knock off another 0.5, and the ending knocks off an entire point. I do dislike when, around episode 9 to 11 of a seasonal show, you immediately know that the climactic event that caps off the series is about to appear, ruining the surprise. Yet that does NOT mean you should forgo having a climax entirely. Episode 11 of Uzaki-chan sets up a cliff-hanger, which subsequently flops in the final episode, before ending without any shift in tone or character. I appreciate this in some regards, in much the same way I can appreciate literary fiction, but only when it is done right, which this was not. However, any discussion on this would count as spoiler, so I will avoid indulging myself.

Overall, I would not say this show is flawless or even close to perfection. But when you compare it to some other absolute garbage that comes out every season, the story tries to be something other than just a story. An attempt at such immediately catches my attention, and rumours of a show with decent writing is what brought me to Uzaki-chan in the first place. I am pleasantly surprised with the experience, and, if you do not mind, will be taking my leave now. Bye.

This is a relaxing anime which is a really good recommendation to watch. The storyline is relaxed so it doesn't make you think that you really like stories like that. In my opinion, the ecchi really doesn't look really ecchi, it's like 5% ecchi and that too in my opinion it's really normal so it's still safe to watch if there are parents hehehe. For music and voice actors it fits perfectly. What I don't like is that the cat moment is a bit strange, the face is too overreacting. But I don't think it's like pov viewers, but to be honest, my face when ... I watched it wasn't the same lol. The conclusion is good this anime doesn't disappoint for the newcomer 10/10. Waiting for season 2 :)

Uzaki-chan is a fairly standard romcom with a simple basis of a loner getting harassed by his overly energetic underclassman who wants to hang out. This kind of story has been done many times before and will be done many more times, so why should you watch this one? It's pretty fun.

It's very easy to dislike this anime, maybe you're just not a fan of silly romcom anime, maybe you feel infuriated because Uzaki's breasts are large, maybe you think she's annoying as hell. If you do think things along these lines, I wouldn't recommend bothering,

Uzaki isn't an incredible anime, it's just pretty alright. ... The jokes are pretty funny, although a handful of them are somewhat ecchi, the characters work, although they may not be the most unique or interesting, the show looks and sounds pretty good, although it may not be too memorable. The show isn't the kind of thing you should sit down to expecting some amazing tear-jerking romance anime with funny moments, it is a show where the comedy aspect overpowers the romance aspect, which is mainly present as a nice, sweet aftertaste to the silly jokes. The silly jokes themselves could be very hit or miss, it depends, do you actually like romcom humor? The jokes mainly consist of Uzaki and Sakurai being pushed into uncomfortable and embarrassing situations by either the fault of one of them or the various supporting characters who exist only to put them in these situations, the latter probably being the best in terms of comedy.

A lot of people seem to have a problem with the show due to Uzaki's annoying attitude and how she pushes Sakurai to do things with her when he would rather be left alone, having actually watched the show, I feel like I can safely say that he doesn't really mind all that much, being bugged to do things with Uzaki, he finds her as annoying as many of the viewers do, but if he really, truly, wanted to be left alone, he could pretty easily make her go away. It is shown in the anime that he actually does enjoy her company, but maybe you, the viewer, do not, and if that is the case, I would suggest just not watching the show. Ultimately, Uzaki and Sakurai care a lot about each other and worry about each other, I would say that there is an actual amount of development between their relationship as well.

In terms of what I like about the anime, there's quite a bit that makes it feel worthwhile to me. The jokes are pretty funny, the chemistry between Uzaki and Sakurai, while it may seem to be very little at first, is at least decent. There are a few emotional moments that, while not incredible, were at least a little bit touching to me. The animation is fairly good, the soundtrack is okay, the opening song is nice. There's not much outstanding to say about this anime, though I do definitely appreciate that it takes place in college and work settings instead of the much overdone high school and middle school settings, definitely makes the atmosphere a lot more comfortable and relatable to me.

Uzaki-chan wa Asobitai! is a fairly fun anime, and if you just want to have a laugh at funny embarrassing romcom shenanigans, give it a try! I definitely enjoyed it, and will be watching season 2 as well.

(Uzaki-chan's design actually is pretty good, it's okay to say you just don't like tits and short hair, nobody will judge you.)

I LOVE this anime. First of all, people might think this anime is annoying and perverted but it's not. It's more wholesome and cute. So the plot of the story is a loner senpai who has little to no friends. Then, Uzaki-chan comes to cheer him up and always be by his side. And the more and more they get closer, the more you love them. Senpai warms up and tries to make her feel better. Also, Uzaki has lip fang and her eyes and other spots ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°) are sugoi dekai and she's so kawaii! The art is amazing, the plot is ... even better, and enjoyment is super outstanding. I would totally love someone like Uzaki to be in my life to come cheer me up and be my friend (maybe even more) and would always love a Uzaki to hang out with!

One of the most fun anime I've watched in a very long time. Yes, Uzaki has big boobs, and they are used as subject at times, but once you get past that, there's a really good production in this first season of Uzaki-chan wa Asobitai!

Story - 8/10

Given that it's a slice-of-life comedy, I wasn't expecting too much by way of story content, but I was pleasantly surprised to find numerous references to middle school, which factored into the current timeline of events for the anime. Throughout the season, the current events developed quite nicely as well, in terms of pacing and character development I felt. ... There were a couple of awkward cliff-hangers in places (due to scene length) though I felt, which brought my rating down in this area. It's also very good that despite the progression throughout the season, the story content managed to remain very light throughout, which kept me hoping for another season come the end.

Art - 9/10

The art is very good and contributes substantially to how fun Uzaki-chan wa Asobitai! is to watch. Generally-speaking, the fairly bright, yet balanced art style is fairly soft on the eye and not too harsh when things become a bit wild, which I appreciate. The art style particularly shows its strength through ordinary things, like Uzaki's wild laughter, through to less common things, like special moments, presented in contextually-accurate fashion, to draw attention to a particular significant development in a completely hilarious manner.

Sound - 10/10

Yes, there are soundtracks that get re-used multiple times throughout the season, but in all fairness, these sounds do work well in contributing to the setting and feel of the scenes in question. Voicing is also pretty strong; I mean, Uzaki-chan's laugh is utterly adorable. Voicing is very good for the comedic scenes but also equally strong for the scenes where other emotions come to the forefront, be it scheming, anger, upset or doubt, which contributes heavily to my high scoring in terms of sound. Moving back to music and the OP ED; another very strong area I felt. The opening music is by far and away my favourite opening music of any anime and the end music is not far behind it (I ended up buying both single albums). Personal preference aside, the opening music perfectly captures the feel of the anime; extremely fun, but not completely untethered from substantial emotion and also the music pretty much perfectly matches Uzaki-chan's personality. The closing music really captures the more substantial elements of Uzaki-chan's personality, which I really like, especially when combined with the various iterations of the end credit montage; I always watched through to the very end of the sequence.

Character - 10/10

I've already covered Hana Uzaki quite a bit, so focusing less on her, I have to say that Sakurai and the various supporting characters (the Asai family, Uzaki Tsuki and Itsuhito) are pretty well constructed, especially in terms of them being memorable, despite having less screen time. The role that the supporting characters play in developing the relationship between Sakurai and Uzaki make them particularly memorable, each contributing to the comedic value of the anime significantly. This section wouldn't be complete without a more substantial word on Sakurai, who is very well developed throughout the season and is actually constructed in a way that makes his character quite believable as an actual person, who becomes increasingly more balanced as the anime progresses. Sakurai, despite appearances does display a good range of emotions, which I appreciate, as it helps with the story and enjoyment of the anime.

Enjoyment - 10/10

Numerous times where I had to pause the anime, to get the laughter out of my system; this is a very good sign, coming from a comedy. The Ecchi content is pretty funny, without going too far (wafer thin line, but things stay just within, in my opinion). The awkward and more hostile moments are also very engaging. Other sections have already covered numerous other factors that contribute to my allocation of maximum score in this area.

Overall - 9/10

What do I look for in a comedy? Fun. Uzaki-can wa Asobitai hits that criteria near perfectly. Being very well produced across art, sound and character design categories contribute heavily to my rating the anime so highly. I'll be very pleased if the second season is just as good as or better than the first!

Na lie, the story is good, it's a shit, but it's something decent.
uzaki is a more annoying character than the parrot shell, but the truth is very noticeable even in patagonia that is in love with senpai.
The senpai another protagonist of the heap who wants to be alone but the uzaki arrives to break his balls and wants to give him joy.
The music is fine, uzaki's mother has more chest than me but it doesn't bother me, it only bothers me that she thinks the protagonist wants something with her.
She only thinks that she wants to hit the ... wall hard but from there everything is fine.
I recommend it for rainy days. 10/10 rancid tomatoes

To the point and on the game - is my summarized opinion of this show. An even distribution of moe, humor, and ecchi goodness all tied together with the perfect seasoning of a story board, all when viewed by the intended audience, leaves this show at the summit of a true entertainment or is it?

There are only two sides to a coin but that can't be said for viewers opinion. Its often more than just good or bad that shows like Uzaki-chan wa Asobitai! and many others of its kind gets kicked around and bitched about for its use of ecchi seasoning, at the same ... time, some admire the superb animation and interestingly satisfying characters. These shows need to be enjoyed with no brains rather than reviewed with a critics eye. Having no expectations paves way for much satisfactory viewing experience.

It is also well known fact that younger audience might find this show enjoyable in much different ways and newbies might crown this show a masterpiece out of ignorance, a veteran on the contrary might find this show pathetic compared to the vast world of anime his mind harbors.

Personally, I watch shows like these to burn my steam or to clear my head off work. The plot is thin, has light humor, very good animation, good voice acting, decent pacing and no beating around the bush episodes, all to say, the shows is interesting enough and fun to watch with a few giggles here and there, and above all, very very satisfying.

So, Is this anime good? Should i watch it?... well, it comes down to your preference ultimately. What you want to get out of this show? If you want something entertaining, to cool your brains off and prefers some ecchi, big oppai, slight humor, just go for it, you would love it... else.. please avoid this show and save yourself from bitching about it.

A good show watched at the right time makes it the best show. At the same time, a good show watched at the wrong time makes it the worst. I hope this was helpful and i could successfully guide you to either watching or skipping this show. You are welcome.

man this shit was fucking cute as fuck. I was really surprised by how much I enjoyed this. its a simple premise but the way everything is translated onto screen from the manga (which is also fantastic) is done with love. the animation is a little on the cheapo side but the story and voice acting make up for it. Cant wait for season 2(if they're dropping one) again. this 500 character minimum is fucking me In my ass so I gotta type more bull shit. blah blah blah blah yeah. Uzaki has huge titties too did I mention that? I actually don't think that's ... brought up in the show once at all.

This felt really amazing like I'm in a sitcom with couples and friends. I like the dub and sub together equally. The animation has such a great impact to the art-style. The music sounds great for each scene and the jiggle effects if you know what I mean. Anyways the animators really spend time for those animations which was well done. The pacing of the show was really great with each episode being somewhere different in Japan. You won't get bored. I seen this whole anime in one sitting even though I should be touching the grass hahaha. (It was Covid times so yeah). Would ... recommend to people who aren't uncomfortable to see an anime because it has a lot of weird parts LMFAO.

ah Uzaki chan so much drama for something so small. I enjoyed Uzaki chan, its overall a cute romance slice of life, all the characters felt like they could be real people and they were quiet easy to relate to. Uzaki chan despite the controversy is a far more interesting character because of her personality, i started watching it because of the twitter riot it caused but i stayed for Uzaki as a character and enjoyed that she wasn't blank slate ecchi character type 1. it definitely has ecchi jokes and while i would have enjoyed them more if i were a teenager but i ... feel as if a few were boring and unneeded but when they worked they really worked well. the show isn't carried by the ecchi aspects and while i think one or two episodes over do it i don't think the effected the over all rating. the story is a pretty basic romcom and were the characters bad or unlikeable it would have been boring but the characters make the story interesting. i think the main male protagonist, Shinichi was sort of a basic introverted character seen in shows like toradora but that's not to say he was boring or unlikeable he was relatable, this is of course by design but i still enjoyed him. over all i enjoyed Uzaki chan everything was good and i didnt struggle to stay watching.

Uzaki chan is a slice of life anime. It has almost no story to it. It's just mindless entertainment. And I really enjoyed it. It has some softcore vanilla fanservice in other than that I found it to be very wholesome(DO NOT RECOMMEND WATCHING IT WITH FAMILY). The shenanigans of Uzaki and Sakurai is cute and heartwarming.

If I could change something about this anime then it would be the comedy part. Wish they added some "witty dialogue" to the humour.And some of the scenes were repetitive. The same thing was going on again and again for example Uzaki and Sakurai's confrontations. Other than that it was a pretty good show.

I watched this over a year ago and despite the main girl being unconventional in design I still enjoyed it nonetheless.

First off short stack girls exist irl, deal with it Twitter. second off Uzaki is 20 years old which makes her legal drinking age in Japan so shes definitely not a child. The series is a nice change of pace from your typical high school romcom fare where at least the main girl is not an abusive violent tsundere the writers and the audience try to play off for cuteness points. Im looking at you Nisekoi and Toradora.

Despite Uzaki being annoying she at ... least cares for the MC and tries her best to get him to come out of his shell. I find romcoms dont do this very often and just take the easy way out by having the main girl bully the MC and use that for character development.

This show's promise is simple its slice of life comedy with some ecchi scenes and it is a good one.
Firstly characters are college students instead of high schoolers and they are thinking about problems like "what would others say if she would sleep in a man's place" etc. So the world is relatable.

What makes the show funny ?
-Well, imagine a gamer dude with very small social circle, then Uzaki chan -old friend like senior- comes and starts to mocking this dude and she is good with it.

As a college student, I found this show relatable when uzaki chan make fun of the loner,
because ... she also make fun of me.

Watching 1 episode is enough to decide should you watch or not.

P.S. don't worry ecchi scenes are a few and mainly for comedy so far, so you won't pop up unwanted boner while watching this show.

Actually a really decent show surprisingly. The outside package screams "ecchi comedy" and it is in bits-and-pieces, but the show did a really good job at getting you to care about Sakurai and Uzaki's relationship. It's execution reminds me a lot of Heaven's Lost Property, where comedy is the centerfold of the show but it does a good job at throwing serious moments in-between to keep you on your toes.

Art and sound for the show are pretty average. I feel like they could have varied the soundtrack a bit more cause I must have heard that upbeat song with the flute at least 20 times, ... but, it does its job.

The characters themselves are fun to watch. Uzaki and Sakurai being the focus, they mix well due to their opposing personalities. Background characters are actually enjoyable to watch as well and don't really suffer from being overly-annoying as it seems to be with lots of slice-of-life shows.

Overall I really enjoyed this show a lot more than I thought I would and I really am looking forward to the second season. Solid 8/10 from me.

Uzaki-chan wa Asobitai! is a fun anime to watch and the beginning of the story show Uzaki as a "energic storm" and funny girl, which put you directly into the atmosphere of the anime !

The anime is really refreshing, even if some scenes are "cliché" along the episodes (exemple of beach episode), they work well and they manage to bring some new fun ideas.

I've also found that some scenes were really touching and were really sweet / adorable and I didn't expecting it, I thought that it will focus most on fan service, so that was a great surprise !

I've also really like :

- The ... support and motivation that Uzaki bring to Sakurai along the anime
- The relationship between Uzaki and Sakurai (which grow along the anime)
- The side characters also bring interesting external point of view.

In short, a great anime to watch if you want to spend a relax / funny time.

I swear the people who are hating on this anime are a bunch of karens and cry babies. I mean what is actually there in this anime to hate..
Oh now people will say oh this is another romcom trash just like all others and uzaki is soo irritating and what i have to say to that kind of people is to just read the fuckin description you guys this anime is supposed to be like that no matter what you say.
Serious plots doesn't always matter( oh ho ho things are about to get very serious in season two if you know what i mean ... manga readers!!!!)
