5-toubun no Hanayome

To be honest, I wasn't expecting much of this show. I started watching it because I thought the Quints' designs were cute, but in the end, I was positively surprised.

I'm not too big on harem animes so I was reluctant at first, but this one was entertaining and I ended up loving most of the characters, even the protagonist.

The art and character designs for the anime are really pretty and colorful. The animation isn't the best and it's quite wobbly at times, but it's not bothering at all.
OST wise, the opening and ending are a pleasure to listen to! Especially the ending song. ... The visuals in it are also nice and I don't think I ever skipped it.

To focus a bit more on the characters, I think they are one of the strongest point of this show. All of them have an unique personality, and even if some of them are kinda cliché, it's not too over the top. I even ended up loving some characters I didn't really care for at the beginning.
The protagonist is actually not hateble like in a lot of harem animes and has his funny moments too.
This isn't a spoiler, but throughout the anime, there are some flashbacks and clues for us to guess who the protagonist is going to end with. We get some wedding sequences, but we can never tell who's the bride. It's kinda satisfying to think that he's really going to pick someone, and trying to guess which girl it is got me too invested.

Another plus, the seiyuu for this show did an awesome job!

To conclude, I'd say this anime isn't revolutionary but it's definitly enjoyable and fun to watch. A strong 7 for me. I would recommend it to people who usually aren't fond of harem animes.

I'm a fan of the seasonal "trash" anime, and you already know what I'm talking about. Guy meets girl, she instantly falls in love, some stuff happens, then the show's over. The Quintessential Quintuplets, however, spices things up and isn't the overly cliche show you would expect.

The harem is five girls who, as you might expect from the title, are all sisters! It leads to some funny moments regarding their looks and being mix matched, but it also has some more semi-serious moments because of that sisterhood. The five girls are all pretty unique in personalities, and at least one will cater to you certainly. ... You get a general idea of the type of character they are early on, but as they warm up to the MC you get to go a bit into their thought process and actually see what causes them to change because of our MC.

Which is another reason why I really loved this show; the main character doesn't do one stupid, overly simple action (if you're a fan of trash anime you know what I'm talking about) to win over the hearts of all the girls. While debatable for one or two girls, he actually puts in the effort to "bond" with the group, bond being working as their tutor. But this process is very well done, and we get to see how as both the MC and girls learn about each other, they warm up and we get to watch their relationships build up. It's so much more satisfying this way rather than all the girls instantly falling for him in the first episode.

As for the main character himself, he is very unique and a fun lead to have. While maybe slightly dense, it is nowhere NEAR as bad as a lot of other trashy anime, and in fact does a good job at handling himself around the sisters. He is extremely smart, and his purpose is to tutor the girls which doesn't go as easily planned. He is a loner and intelligent, immediately giving off some Hachiman vibes (even though I think 8man is more well written, our MC here is still great).

For the extra stuff, the art isn't too horrible. It definitely has some moments, especially in the last episode or two, but overall it isn't bad. The important part is the girls are drawn cute, and the facial expressions are done right! The sound also was pretty decent, and I enjoyed it a lot. It really made certain moments the way they were, like somber moments with fitting music and comedic moments with goofy music - it worked well. As for story, it has pretty good progression in terms of the relationship between the MC and girls. While there is no overarching plot line at the moment beyond their tutoring, we get to watch the girls grow and see how much their relationships improve with the MC, as an entire group of sisters and individually which is, again, very well done.

Overall, I believe this show will surpass many people's expectations. In the end though, it depends on the genres you like most. If you are very picky about romances and are looking for a drama heavy series, then this might not fit the bill (the show does have some drama still). But for what the show presented itself as - a romcom harem - it's done pretty damn well! If you're a fan of harems in general, this is a must watch of course. But beyond that, it was genuinely fun and interesting to see the girls and how they developed compared to episode 1, delving slightly into some sister themes as well as how they handle the MC. Totally recommend the show if a harem romcom is up your alley, hopefully you enjoy it!

Every anime harem that i watched are very different from Gotoubon no Hanayamone
It is because the plot/story, i like every character of this anime they make me feel comfortable to watch this

It is romantic when uesugi-kun have the moment of miku or all of five of them

This anime hit the spot its aiming. If you are looking to watch a romantic comedy, with lovable characters, comedy and intriguing plot. This is what you are looking for. 5 girls that look exactly the same and may fall for the same guy. Sounds very interesting for me.

Not all romantic animes have to leave feeling something. Sometimes, an escape from the daily routine and immerse yourself into something different is what you need. And this anime accomplish that.

This anime is something i look forward every Thursday to watch. I'm team Ichika by the way.

Many people in this community try too hard to look ... like Anime connoisseurs or experts. And somehow miss the point of the show.

When it comes to harem anime, reviews like these are often taken with a huge helping of salt because of the nature of these animes. However, Gotoubun no Hanayome is, dare I say, the pinnacle of harem anime, featuring the most rounded cast to have ever graced this genre, a sufficiently detailed and well-established storyline, and, surprisingly, not a lot of ecchi, which is definitely refreshing at that.

Story
The overall story isn't that outlandish, a financially struggling straight-A high school student gets offered a job to teach 5 wealthy quintuplets, from there, one by one, the quintuplets fall to the high school student's charm and ... eventually all compete for his love. It's not something we haven't seen before, and BokuBen used this style earlier this year. However, where BokuBen slows down, this anime speeds up. We are given a Nisekoi-Esque promise from 5 years ago to help solidify the protagonist's relationship with the 5 girls and each girl's individual arcs puts her on a shining spotlight in a unique way, allowing for equal development in both her strengths and her weaknesses. While other anime tend to cloud these developments with the girl's innate desire to fall in love with the protagonists, this anime uses that motivation, or in Nino's case, the lack of that desire to develop their personality. The result is a very diverse cast that almost feel real, so real in fact, that I feel a much stronger connection to these girls than any of the other anime I mentioned before.

Art and Sound
The art featured in this anime is varied, to say the least. It decreases in quality when it needs to and increases whenever possible. I find that this is shown most in a simple comparison between the quintuplets' penthouse and Uesugi's room, one comparison shows so many subtle details the artists added in to heighten the girls' development even more. Don't even get me started on the festival arc. Not only is the lighting and art at every individual firework spot-on, the way the lighting interacts with each girl to set certain moods is effective as well.
Regarding sound, the OST makes a good job of highlighting each girl's personality in their own respective arcs, as well as easily set and maintain moods during arcs such as the Summer Camp Arc and the Festival Arc. The OP and second ED are great too, with each quintuplet's VA pulling their weight to the max to deliver this upbeat OP and soothing ED that I can't help but listen too, even after finishing the show.

Characters
As I mentioned before, I think the cast of Gotoubun is the most rounded I've ever seen in a harem anime. For once, our protagonist Uesugi isn't as dense as a neutron star, and can actually notice and understand each girl's feelings as the anime progresses. It doesn't mean he's completely out of the park yet, as he is still hilariously dumb when the anime needs him to be, but at least he's not a complete idiot either.
Regarding the quintuplets, each of them embodies a commonly seen trope in anime girls, and uses that basis to develop them into well-rounded characters.
Ichika is your typical onee-san, a bit lewd here and there, but overall the most protective and caring for her sisters, to such a degree that she often keeps many secrets from them just so that she can maintain the quality of their lives. Nino is your typical hard-headed softboiled idiot, she loves her family, but hates outsiders. Like the membrane of a cell she just doesn't let up until you prove to her that you're friendly. While the anime didn't cover the chapter that converted a good portion of the fanbase, Nino still saw enough screentime for us to glimpse at her inner feelings and feel hype for her inevitable development in Season 2.
Miku is my personal favorite. Shy, booksmart, and from her family's standpoint, the smartest of the bunch. The anime immediately capitalizes on her at the start of the series, solidifying her as a force to be reckoned with for the remainder of the series and well into the manga. She's the first to show her soft side to Uesugi, and by doing so establishes such high of a character to place her firmly as my favorite best girl.
Yotsuba is your muscle-brained nice girl. So nice that she goes out of her way to help. While the anime (or the manga, for that matter) didn't cover much for her development, she's made it clear that ultimately, she exists to support people, which is why she goes out of her way to help places like the sports teams in the anime. She wants her sisters to be happy, and by doing so she sacrifices her own happiness for them. A kindhearted soul at that.
Itsuki, in my opinion, received the least attention, she's established herself as a semi-tsundere food lover at the start, and that's it. She didn't receive much development after that. But whatever development she did get did solidify her enough so that she can stand on her own. Hoping to see more development for her in Season 2.

Overall, Gotoubun gave me a stunning example that not all harem anime has to be super ecchi and devoid of character development. Each character felt stunningly real and well-developed, and I'm definitely curious to see what the next season could bring for them

Story: 9/10
The story was not popping off. It was a harem anime that did not have too much going on. Nonetheless, I liked the story because I am a big fan of character development. The plot involved consistent inclusion of all 5 girls as well as their interactions with Uesugi. The story build up was great and made me want to read the manga not to find out who he gets married to, but rather Uesugi's development with each girl.

Art: 7/10
The art was bubbly and bright. Pretty well made. I would say they focus more on the character arts because the background were decent and ... standard. Not too much to say on this.

Sound: 7/10
Same with the art, the sounds in the anime were good but standard. The voice acting was done well and each character had their own personalities in their respective voices. Other than that, nothing too special.

Character: 8/10
I really like the sisters. They really work well together because they are all different and have their own unique individual personalities. The show does really well with the sisters but it doesn't have that same pace of character development with Uesugi. Uesugi's character is built on the sisters which made it lost points. I think as the main character, he should have slightly more character development. Other than that, the characters are great.

Enjoyment: 9/10
I love romance anime. There's nothing much to say here. If you like romance, then this is your anime. However, if you are a Waifu Gladiator then please refrain from fighting people about who best girl is. Respect everyone's best girls and also just enjoy. It's an anime.

Overall this anime was very good because of what the characters offer. The story and the characters work well together because the consistent build up leaves you craving for more.

The Quintessential Quintuplets is the best harem anime I've seen thus far. End of story. It has a story that does not feel forced, (other than the extremely unlikely case of all five sisters falling in love with the same guy, but what the heck), It has actual characters with personality beyond just Tsundere or Deredere, and the main character, beyond the initial denseness, is actually not an idiot.
The idea of the protagonist being the smart one is unusual, but it works really well here.

Story: ... Great, loved it, not forced at all, unlike most other romance anime I've seen. EXCITED for season 2 (coming out tomorrow as of when I'm writing this)

Art: Not bad by any means, there IS one scene where a towel changes color but seriously, that's just a production error, nothing big. (It was quite hilarious watching over that clip and just seeing a white towel suddenly go dark blue, then in half a second go back to white)
(Episode 3 at 10:50, by the way)

Sound: Layering a bunch of voices is hard, right? Idk, I'm giving it an 8 just to be safe.

Character: Making a bunch of characters for a harem anime is hard, but making a bunch of characters for a good harem anime is harder. They did get a bit of a cheat making the five of them twins, so only one main backstory, but seriously, they all have their own goals and ideals in life that they sacrifice things for or the other way around.
Also they are all stupid, really funny there (though that's the point of the anime).
And finally, they are all different levels of Tsundere. The difference in reaction is amazing to look at.
Fun background characters don't usually exist (sometimes they're excluded completely - I'm looking at you, Bakemonogatari and Sakura Trick) but there are characters who are used just once in this anime, and I'm happy that those scenes are utilized because it adds life and flavor to the world, instead of just ignoring them altogether.

Enjoyment: Loved it. I love romance anime and harem anime is better. (when pulled off right, like, bad romance anime just hurts) I'm really happy I found this one, I'm gonna go try to buy the manga within two weeks (of when I write this review) and this will probably stay a favorite of mine for a long time.

In the end, I'd recommend watching this primarily if you're a fan of romance anime. yes, this is a harem anime, but it's done well enough to where it doesn't hurt like most other ones. If you are fine with romance but not sure if you'll like this one, watch just the first two to four episodes and see if you like it; the progression
slows a little after that.

This anime is enjoyable without demanding 100% of your attention. The characters are all likeable, and, despite being a harem, I didn't feel particular dislike for any of the girls, and the protaginist wasn't incredibly boring or perverted.

I wanted a little more exploration of some of the girls, but realistically, there's only so much one can do in 12 episodes, so I'm glad there is a second season.

While there seems to be a large focus on one of the girls in particular in this series, it's not too much to say that she is going to be the final choice, which is the one ... main thing a viewer can ask for in a harem type anime.

If you don't like harem animes, then it won't be for you, as there are a lot of cliches, but overall, it's a fun, short watch.

This show is not for everyone: Some people like this kind of anime, but some people don't. I like this kind of anime. Therefore, reviews may be varying. Without further ado, let's dive deep into the analysis of this show.

Story (9/10)
The plot of this anime is great. It manages to capture the essence of what a school-based harem anime should have. The plot development is at a steady pace, and the screen time is evenly distributed between the sisters. I personally enjoyed watching this anime. Once I started I could not stop. In my opinion, the plot of this show is captivating and is somewhat ... different from the other harem anime I watched.

Art (9/10)
The art of this anime is great. The character designs of the anime, especially the sisters have been done very well. The anime has managed to differentiate the quintuplets with unique character designs and personalities, yet one can also see the "identical" aspect to the sisters. The MC's design also captures the aspects of his personality quite well. All in all, the background designs and character designs are great, though there have been better quality designs.

Sound (6/10)
The sound of this anime is fair due to one reason. With such different voices, how can Futaro not differentiate the sisters? With the same hairstyle, they may look the same, but their voice is still different. Maybe the root of this issue can be found in the transition from manga to anime. In the manga, with no voice actors, maybe the voices of the quintuplets are the same, giving a reason to his difficulty in differentiating them. However, with the addition of voice actors in the anime adaptation, the voices of the sisters are different, and without changing the plot, it doesn't make sense.

Character (10/10)
The characters of this anime is TOP NOTCH, outstanding, contrary to what some people think. I personally love the way they personalise each character, the breath of life blown into them really makes them stand out from one another. Each of the 5 sisters correspond to a different dere type, and certainly make great waifs for anyone into that kinda stuff. In my opinion, the characters of this anime is very likeable, and its very hard to hate any of the characters especially after their major character development arcs.

It goes without saying that I enjoy this anime a lot, I love its jovial comedy centric romance harem typing, with plenty of scenes that make you laugh. In spite of its happy-go-luck nature, this anime also has its own serious scenes. All in all, this anime is for those who enjoy seeing different kinds of girls interacting with each other, and chasing the same person. I would highly recommend this anime for those who enjoy rom-com school based anime.

The anime its a harem at the core,but its kinda relatable if you but away the idea that its a harem.I love the characters especially Miku(for me its the best out of the quintuplets).The ,,quints'' are relatable,they represent a normal lads even though they are rich. The artstyle is stunning making it one of my favourite artstyles.It is full of emotions most of the anime.I still dont understand Futaros decision at the end of the anime(season 2+ movie),im sure you will question him too(or not).The story is kind of unique,yoou rarely see romance animes about quintuplets.Im 98% sure that you will fall in love with ... the quints,and their story!!

The best way to describe "The Quintessential Quintuplets", or QQ, is a classic love story... merged with a classic School/Slice of Life anime... merged with a classic Harem anime. This would lead you to believe this anime is unoriginal, however, once I gave it a chance, I actually enjoyed it. Initially I saw "Quint" and my mind immediately went to the Disney Channel movie from the early 2000's. I wasn't the biggest fan, so wrote off this series almost immediately. Pretty soon I started to notice a lot of the show's merchandise was available at all the best anime retailers online. Now I know this ... isn't the best indicator of a good show, but I decided to give it a chance. My thought process being, people want figures of their favorite characters, so naturally if this show has viewers who consider the characters among their favorites, the quints can't be THAT bad. And as you already know, I was reminded, "You can't judge a book (or anime) by it's cover". Now, with that said, I must apologize for the long intro on how I got into this show. I felt it necessary to describe how well the pilot did to gain my interest. After all, a flimsy excuse to watch a show is one thing, but to inevitably be one of the buyers of the aforementioned figures is another (Yes, I have all 5 twins now...).

To start, I'll briefly break down the show. Smug genius gets offer to tutor 5 twins... comedy and romance ensues. That is not only the shortest explanation I've come up with for a show, but the most accurate. Honestly this isn't the show you watch for an in depth story, nor is it deep or meaningful in any major way, at least in comparison to other "deep" anime. The true appeal of QQ is the characters. Remember how I said the figures are made for people's favorite characters. This is particularly true for QQ, only all the characters have the potential to be your favorite (or best girl if you prefer). I should note though, the main male protagonist is not a boring carbon copy character. I actually appreciate his storyline. This is rare for me in typical harems (even though this isn't your typical harem). Generally the one guy with multiple women trope feels played out in most cases now a days, but the relationship this protagonist has with all five sisters is actually very sweet and meaningful. Each girl has her own reason to appreciate him and he has his own reasons to appreciate each girl.

After I finished the first season, I became conflicted about who I considered "best girl". To be honest, I still can't decide who I like best to this day. On the surface, each girl has their own basic concept to their personality. One sister is more mature and works hard to pay the bills. Another is stupid but athletic. Next is the definition of tsundere. Fourth sister is unbearably shy. And the last is your typical girl next door (the Shizu of Reincarnated as a Slime, the Saber of Fate, or the Chizuru of Rent-A-Girlfriend...). Now, with that being said, the girls have one main component in common...they're all variations of the "salty on the outside, but sweet on the inside" concept. Or they appear one way but are actually different when you learn more about them. Again, this seems like such a basic and overdone concept, but it is executed so well you can't help but enjoy seeing what's behind each carefully guarded layer, and finding out what each sister is truly like.

I feel I should go a little more in depth on the characters because, and I'll say it again, the characters are what make this show good. Now this isn't the first show to have multilayered characters as it's premise, but it is one of the best shows to incorporate it. I'm not sure why it works so well. Is it the twin aspect? The writing and character design? Voice actors? I'm still not positive, yet what is clear to me is the well defined story, along with its character arcs and relationship building. I have grown to appreciate each sister in their own way, and the steps they take to better themselves by their own volition. The same goes for the main character Futaro. Occasionally rude and self involved, he is always quick to redeem himself. And even though he's pushy and a bit of a know it all, if I only had a few words to describe him, they would be supportive, caring, and present. Long story short, the characters, including Futaro all have a great deal of cohesion among them. You just can't help but to cherish every positive interaction they have together.

Even though the concept of harem has existed in anime from, I imagine, the beginning of anime, few pull it off as well as QQ. I believe the reason this show stands out from the rest is because of it's dedication to realism. In a lot of Ero/Harem anime, fantasy is the driving force. Usually the protagonist is completely plain and basic, with nothing special that sets him apart from your average Joe. Yet somehow this average Joe gets several beautiful women to fall in love with him exclusively, with each woman having no concern for other men, even if those men may be better, more handsome, or more accomplished. Futaro, QQ's central male, is different though. He is smart, handsome, and well accomplished. The only thing working against him is that he's poor and can be a short tempered jerk. Ironically, his "faults" or negative qualities, end up benefitting him. For example, his financial status actually works for him in the end, considering he would have never met our five quints otherwise, since he tutors to pay the bills for his poor family...aww. And regarding his negative attitude in the beginning, he takes lessons he teaches the twins and applies them to himself, inevitably growing to be a much better person along side the twins as they grow...thus creating the unique bond he shares with them all individually.

The story progresses well. I was excited to see each new episode, and enjoyed attempting to uncover the shows mysteries or plotlines. The best example of this show's ability to get you to return is the show's premise. From the beginning, we know Futaro will eventually marry one of these quintuplets, and it never gets old trying to guess who it is. There were points where I'd say definitively one sister was in the lead. It'll seem so obvious and appealing, and you'll want it to work out with the sister the story is focusing on. And then the show changes its plot to another sister, subverting your expectations! Suddenly, the previous sister doesn't matter so much, it should work out with who their focusing on now instead. And this continues thorughout the entire series...it never gets boring. Eventually, these changes in story would happen so often that I ended up liking each twin equally by the end (aside from Ichika...she's the true GOAT, but only by a little). As of right now, I'm actually hoping the characters give in by the end and just have a polyamorous relationship (polygamy is legal in Japan right?), each with their own day of the week or something.

There's not much more to say other than telling you how entertaining, sweet, and fun this show is. I've grown to care about the characters and their stories - past, present, and future. The storyline has enough mystery and intrigue that you'll want to watch through to the end, and wait patiently like I am for season 3. This is a show I believe everyone can have the potential of enjoying regardless of age or gender. A good show is a good show :)

I am a big fan of romance anime and have watched lots of this genre. Gotoubun no Hanayome is the only romance anime which I rated 10/10. Besides having an interesting MC, all of the quintuplets are adored equally and have very distinct character.

Most Harem anime's selling point is the fan service. Gotoubun no Hanayome definitely has some fan service but the storyline is so good that the fan service part doesn't even stand out at all. Viewers can easily grasp the story as it is not rushed. All quintuplets have their own screen time to be explored.

Art 10/10
The art is superb. The animators ... did a good job in the shade of the quintuplets' hair colour. This is important for viewers to not get confused between the 5 identical sisters (in the anime character's point of view they actually have the same hair colour).

Sound 10/10
I wish I could give this an 11/10. The BGM itself is not that unique. However the timing when the music is played really made a huge difference in this series. Each time the music is played, it really sets the mood of the story making the anime 10 times more enjoyable (especially the OST "Family Love" always makes my heart want to melt and fall in love hahaha).

The reason why this is my most favourite romance anime is probably because of the characters. Most of the other romance anime has only 1 or 2 interesting character and the rest are like extras with no personality. Gotoubun however has 5 lovable and unique female characters which are very realistic and believable. That is also why the poll for best girl is quite evenly distributed.

Oh boy I think I have watched this series for 5 times already and I still couldn't get enough of it. None of the episodes are boring at all. Every episode there is always one scene that makes me want to fall in love in real life.

It really seem exaggerated for me to rate all aspects 10/10 but I really can't find anything to hate at this series. It is my top 1 romance anime and top 5 anime of all time. (Note that I have watched about 20 romance anime and more than 150 anime).

The author is painfully aware of the fact that the plot acts as nothing but a contrivance for the five waifu archetypes to have the hots for generic Japanese boy-man-creature. Typical harem story with predictable twists and an idiot plot, i.e., a plot that only exists because every single character is a complete idiot. At least the character designs are distinct but that's like saying you have nice hair when being forced to complement a squinting, cross-eyed, buck-toothed wench. 0/10

But it does have Miku, who seems to have been scientifically designed to make my heart melt. Everything about her, from her personality to every little ... aspect of her character design seems mathematically perfected just for me. Full score for Miku. 10/10 best girl. Fight me.

My final rating comes out to 5/10. Should've had more Miku.

Story - 6/10
It's your typical harem anime, a highschool boy meets some girls and they fall in love with him but he's too dense soooo. The "twist" here is that they're quintuplets, 5 identical sisters, he needs to teach them because he wants money. They all end up falling in love with him after some time etc etc. Oh and also they have met him in the past I guess. This story is generic but fine, I still haven't ... got tired of these types of anime yet.

Art - 8/10
The are is pretty fluid and brightful, I am not really someone who watches anime because of its art tho so I can't rlly say a lot, I enjoyed it.

Sound - 8/10
Voice acting is good I guess, sdt is also pretty good, background noises are fine as well, no reason for me to give it below an 8, but the gap between an 8 and a 9 is pretty big in my book.

Characters - 8/10
MC is a dense mf who's kinda stupid but I liked him, can't say I liked most harem MCs so it's impressive, the sisters are also generic - Generic slut, generic best girl, generic hyperactive and cheerful girl, generic tsundere bitch and a generic 1st girl which probably has a hidden past with him. If it's generic, then why did I give it an 8/10? Well, the tsundere isn't extreme (which is a big plus IMO, fuck tsunderes) and I also liked the MC (which is rare in harem animes).

Enjoyment - 9/10
I'm a pretty simple anime fan, if I start watching a show, I'll probably enjoy it, and there's no difference here, the very good characters, the nice art, VA, sdt, and the ok story made me enjoy this show.

Overall - 8/10
Your "typical" harem show, but it's probably better than the majority of them, do I recommend this? Absolutely.

I feel that this anime will be better than a lot of other Harem animes out there. For those who read the manga: It stays very faithful to it, each episode basically covering 2 chapters. So you won't see anything new.
Perhaps my review here will be a bit prejudiced with what I know from the manga.

Story;
It's not some overly crazy plot like in other harems, where somehow all the girls somehow are fawning over that one random useless dude.
The story is basically a flashback: The very beginning spoilers you that he will get married to one of them, making you keep that in mind during ... the whole development.
The main premise of the story is rather simple - Fuutarou Uesugi, a poor top student, is asked to tutor the Nakano quintuplets. They start off with having no interest in being tutored by him (and no interest in him as a person too), and since everyone of them has very differing personalities and interests, he has to approach each one differently to get them to accept him.

Characters;
Again, when comparing it to other harems I find the characters quite likeable. The male main isn't some useless crybaby. He's clever, he's not scared to talk back and isn't completely paralyzed when standing in front of a girl.
The female characters aren't as shallow as in other harems either. They each have their own character traits, and their own relationship to the male main, some starting off more friendly, some less. That allows for some actual development between the characters in the future.

Art/Sound;
Nothing to complain here, nothing extraordinary either.

Enjoyment;
I like the comedy aspect of it. It doesn't feel forced or tries to build in some silly dialogue just to get a joke in. It's pretty light, simply some funny moments in between.

Overall;
I think it is an enjoyable anime. Although, since it's based on an somewhat long ongoing manga I doubt that there will be a conclusive ending to it.

Well, what we have here is the classic harem, ecchi, romance and comedy... Wait!? Is he really going to choose one of them to marry? How incredible :O. Talking more seriously, Gotoubun is the classic cliche anime, with generic characters like Nino and Miku who are respectively tsundere and kuudere. But even so, it is no less fun, the characters complete in an interesting way, taking the fact that the protagonist is blind and not differentiate the twins if they change the hairstyle, seriously, the girl continues with the original hair tone the clothes, but you still do not notice the DIFFERENCE? This changes a ... bit near the end of the anime, but overall it's a simple anime with a simple proposal (it's going to have one in the same footprint in the April season). (I apologize for my spelling mistakes)

(Pt-BR) Bem, o que temos aqui é o clássico harém, ecchi, romance e comédia... Wait!? Ele realmente vai escolher uma delas para casar? Que incrível :O. Falando mais sério, Gotoubun é o clássico anime clichê, com personagens genéricas como a Nino e Miku que são respectivamente tsundere e kuudere. Porém, nem por isso ele deixa de ser minimamente divertido, os personagens se completam de uma forma interessante, tirando o fato do protagonista ser cego e não diferenciar as gêmeas se elas mudarem o penteado, sério, a garota continua com o tom de cabelo original a roupa, mas você ainda não nota diferença? Isso muda um pouco perto do final do anime, mas no geral é um anime simples com uma proposta simples (vai ter um nessa mesma pegada na temporada de abril).

This is one of those anime that make you think to yourself at some point "Why the hell am I watching this" yet, you just can't seem to stop watching. "Gotoubun no Hanayome" is a divide and conquer anime, as you can already see, a lot of people already set camps for their favorite characters. It's a fun anime to watch, and personally, I loved it. At some point during watching the anime you're going to find yourself supporting someone like you would do when supporting a sports team of sorts, which is interesting and keeps you coming back for more.



The story lacks in certain ... ways which are close to annoying but you can overlook them because you're going to love it if you're like me. I'm not going into details as the synopsis of the story is already written. The characters are great, they each have their own unique personalities and flaws. Even though they are a Quintuplet, you will see each of the five sisters grow and develope in heartwarming ways. As to the art and sound, it wouldn't be the worst thing if the worked a little bit more on the art, because at certain shots, you can see how bad it can be. The sound is good, nothing to really complain about.



I really enjoyed this anime and I really don't care if it's a Harem because the amount of the Harem content is tiny compared to others. I'm really looking forward for an upcoming second season and I hope, if it's on the way, that it won't be too far down the road. I think people with my taste will really enjoy this and get that warm lovely feeling as I did.

Okay so this anime is my seventh favourite anime and when I see the average score is below 8 it kinda makes me pissed off but this anime has amazing characters in fell in love with them instantly not even kidding but it also has a good story the main character has to tutor the five sisters but they all grow a deeper bond with him (the main character) and at the beginning of the anime you find out he marries one of the quintuplets and its the story of how they fell in love with each other. Pretty much its a great anime im ... not great at reviewing things but i just want more people to watch this since how its getting a second season so if you want to watch a harem watch this one its worth the watch.

this was one of the best Animes I've seen of its genre and i really just can't think of anything negative there while reviewing the episodes after i done watching it for the first time .

i think the story was great the events progression was great the characters build up was beautiful and the characters interactions and how they show their emotions in certain situations is at it best to translate all those emotions with the finest artwork and animation I've seen .

i really hated the fact it's only 12 episodes because by the end of the last episode I've found myself i wanted more ... and more episodes and i was so glad to hear that it renewed to a second season and really can't wait for that to begin airing .

my final rating is a solid 8 / 10 a really fantastic Anime not even one dull moment was there .
