Rilakkuma to Kaoru-san

This show is very cute to watch and so enjoyable. There are pops of dark humor and real life so its a bit more for adult viewers who like cute things. You will find the episodes are rich with witty one episode story lines and familiar characters.

As far as animes with dialogue and learning potential, as a beginner to the Japanese language, this is easy to follow with some regular daily conversations. I have watched it multiple times and really enjoy it. The english sub is also really nice and both voice actor sets and dialogues are very good.

Rilakkuma and Kaoru is a very sweet stop-motion anime that will melt your heart, make you smile and root for the characters at the same time. It's so relaxing to watch that it's worth recommending even to adults, and not just kids alone. With episodes so short and yet well animated+edited, this show is a slice-of-life masterpiece. The four lead characters have left a special mark in my heart, and I hope I get to see more of them in another season. I was so into it that I couldn't stop myself from finishing it in just one sitting. All 13 episodes are beautifully written, ... transitioning brilliantly from comedy to drama, and at times raising "adult" questions about life and self-acceptance. It has an endearing charm to it, and the aftertaste it leaves once you finish all 13 episodes is great enough to be memorable. Also well-voiced, this show has the power to make you forget your worries and sorrows while you're watching it. Go ahead, give it a watch and rekindle your inner child.

AAAAAAHHHHH!!! THIS SHOW IS SO CUTE! I started it on a whim one day after coming across it randomly on Netflix, and I immediately fell in love.

Japan has this wonderful ability to take something that seems like it should only be for children and molding and shaping it into something that is enjoyable and relatable for adults. And that's definitely what the writers and artists and overall production team did here with Rilakkuma to Kaoru-san. This is a show perfectly appropriate and enjoyable for a child audience, but the heart of the series is very much one that intentionally speaks to adult audiences.

Being myself a ... single woman in my thirties trying to figure out my own life, dating, work, finding purpose and meaning, this little series is infinitely relatable to me. I found Kaoru-san to be very likable, and of course I love Rilakkuma and Korilakkuma and Kiiroitori.

It seems unlikely that there will be another season of Rilakkuma to Kaoru-san, but if there is, I'm there, butt in my seat, marathoning the entire thing. Fingers crossed, I guess.
