The cure for so many things is connection and we may think "no one wants to connect with me" but all we need is just to find the right people who appreciate us. Someone who hears our voices, someone who appreciates our existence and accepts us for who we are

A great soundtrack can really set the mood and elevate your watching experience, it's one of the reasons why anime is so enjoyable to me.

A list of anime that deals with mental illness or other neurodivergence. It may be a main part of the show or just something a main character deals with that contributes to the plot in some way. This is going to be an incomplete stack as I have only seen around 400 shows and there are probably so many that I have missed. If you comment on my profile one that belongs and why, I would love to add it.

As someone who has dealt with mental illness and neurodivergence my whole life, seeing shows where characters deal with similar issues gives me a feeling of being seen. I know many others on this site probably feel the same way.

Story-driven thrillers, well researched historical shows, brilliant world-constructions, poetic narrations, gripping thrillers, dark comedies, complex future visions, tightly packed action, avant-garde art, solid entertainment, tear-jerking dramas to light-hearted slices of lives.
No big-boob dumdums, high-pitched VAs, fan-/lip-service or plot-around-the-holes-type shows. Teenage angst and school-settings are rarities in these two lists.
