High fantasy anime with a group of characters going on an adventure of sorts. Both are also game adaptations.

All aboard the feels boat, because this is going to be the greatest journey of your life. Wanna travel across islands and discover what lies at the very end of the world? Then this is your last chance, last opportunity. But don't fasten your seat belt yet because you need to draw your weapon quite often, actually.

Both series travels to mystic worlds with their own unique setting. Protagonists hardly knows anything about the outside world and that, by itself, brings some excitement to explore the unknown. Granblue have a more fantasy "danger" setting though, having battles and actually dramatic events, but the world building is just as beautiful as Atelier series. Love the colors, vibes and the tone in both series: simplistic, frequently calm and adventurous in their own way.

Both were some bad mobile games that got adapted into even worse anime series. Both are fantasy adventures with a very simmilar cast of characters, pacing, art style, themes and general atmosphere.

A group/party is going on an adventure with a goal in mind, they then recruit one or more member who they helped and/or found along their journey. This is one of the most obvious similarities from these 2 show.

Both series are adapted from games. Generally both tackle about a group of travelers, that started in a few numbers and later on joined by some valuable allies, as their travels encounter more adventures. Although, Granblue is lighter by nature and plot compared to Ragnarok which is darker and tragic at some points.

Boy and his cute familiar meets a cute girl in distress chased by evil empire. Boy decides to help her for no other reasons that she is cute. They both go onto an adventure while still being chased by an evil empire. Both are shounen in fantasy settings made by A-1 Pictures.

Sharing similar themes, fantasy stories, one about a young sky pirate who loves travelling, and another about a a grounded boy who wants to travel the skies. Both run into young girls through chance, who hold a secret 'power' who then share this power with the young guys to save them from peril, and then embark on an adventure with them.
