Just to be clear this is not a sequel to Charlotte. It's set half-way through Charlotte before all the important stuff actually happens.

Story : Just another episode of finding and helping a person with strange abilities, in this case it's mind -reading (not a spoiler)

Art - same as always, quite nice and pleasing

Sound - didn't notice anything but the voice acting was great

Enjoyment - It was nice to see all the characters again and Yu x Nao moments. It was also damn funny a lot of the time and emotional too.

Overall: I recommend to watch if you just miss Charlotte in general and read more

(It's called a Special but I will call it an OVA)

I wouldn't normally review an OVA (or really leave a review at all to be honest) however I felt I need to for this one.

This OVA is similar to the first couple of episodes of the Charlotte series, in fact the best time to watch I feel it would be just after episode 4 or 5.

This OVA really reminded me of why I continued to watch Charlotte in the first place, it has a great, fun and enjoyable story and has the same great characters, art and sound of the main series.

As someone that was never a fan of Charlotte i went into this ova with very little expectations.A special though would be a good chance to to resolve some of the thousand of unexplained things that the series second half had and give some better closure to the story.

Story:But this is not the direction this episode went.this episode follow the work of the student council in their quest to find ability users. Basically pretty much the same pattern of the first half of the series and as such read more

Drama is a critical genre; it's like a fire; you can make great things out of it, but misusing it can lead to disaster.
Charlotte is one of these anime that misuse of Drama for a variety of reasons:

1) Exaggerated reactions: When this occurs, it is clear that the show is attempting to be emotional, dramatic, and possibly tragic. But this is incorrect because it is unrealistic; and realism is what the Drama requires.

2) Poorly written characters: It's a drama, so it's all about emotions. But the question is, how can one have feelings for characters who are so poorly written that they don't even care? read more
