Yes. Seraphim Call is about 11 girls... and their random stories.
You should not watch this waiting for a huge revelation, because it’s just slice of life. It’s pretty enjoyable if you watch a single episode per day, for example. Characters are connected as in real life. Your teacher, some colleges you’d never talk to. And it’s impressive for an old series. Some elements that we find astonishing nowadays like unexpected point of view (Tanpopo’s plush toy!), nonlinear narrative, and… come on, we all want to know what 2010 would be by 1999’s perspective.

This is that one anime where people either rate it low because of the inconsistent and incomprehensible plot threads, or rate it high because of it's themes and deep messages.
I'm in-between because while I like the messages of this anime, I don't like how seperate the episodes are from each other.

The story starts with 11 girls who finds their own "angel" within them. In other words, they get to face their problems and overcome them.
Of course, that's just the general idea. The true story is much much more of a mess. Episode 1 alone shows how much of a mess this anime can be. Of ... course, ignoring that, there are some great moments in this anime. Especially episode 2 and episode 11.
I won't spoil what will happen in those two episodes, but these two episodes are the only episodes that manages to tackle the themes and problems of the characters and solve them in a satisfying or unsatisfying way whatever way you see it.
Well, let's move on to the problem. Giant robots. Why? It's not like the giant robots needs to be in this story. The story doesn't need it.
I can give a pass to the time travel, but the way they explain it is wack as f*ck.
There's also the fact that the story of each episodes aren't really connected to each other with an exception of few. But even then, it's really forced how they connected them in the last episode.

The characters are decent. They are all one dimensional and forgettable. There are only a few characters that manage to keep me interest, but the rest of them had me really bored.
Of course, that's the problem of how the story is structured. Because there are 11 main girls, the show has to spend as much as one episode per girl. There are exceptions like the lesbian twins, which speaking of which, there's a lot of lesbians in this anime lmao
In other words, the problem lies on the anime itself for introducing new characters as side characters for each episode, making the development and screentime of the main girls so little, making them forgettable.

The animation is weird. It's older animation so I should like it... but I don't. It's really stiff and there's barely any movement. But the art is nice, so I won't rate it lower than this.

The music however is just full of banger themes. Opening is a banger, and the majority of the insert ED songs are bangers. The OST is fine so I didn't rate this category a perfect score.

Overall, it's not an anime that I would recommend. It's really a bizarre anime that would build a small cult to praise this anime. But it's definitely not for me. Music is banger though.

Where to start? .... Seraphim Call is about 11 girls.. and their random stories. If you like shows that jump around without connections, then you'll love this.. The stories seemed a little out there though.. As for the ending of this series.. I almost gave myself a concussion after finishing it. It was way too rushed and the "connections" of all the characters in the end were simple and completely random..

I was expecting this series to have some huge revelation for its final episode, but it really let me down..
