Similarities: Both have the same, action and superpower genre. Both involves people with powers who protects the weak. Dissimilarities: One is a spin off from another anime while the other one has a season 2. The leader and the most powerful one of the good guys is a guy, while in the other anime it's a girl who is the most powerful.

The strong should rule over the weak and evil is always lurking beneath the harmonious cities of the community. However, in the worst outbreak comes good people who strives to do the right thing. 'Tokyo ESP' has a sensational vibe on the environments which is combined with the breathtaking battles and bloodshed that will keep you wanting more. The comprehension leading to the merciless killings of the innocent can not simply be justified as a pure goal and it seems war in inevitable. 'Toaru Majutsu no Index' has a richer and deeper storyline that will strengthen one's attraction to a certain character regardless on how sadistic  read more

Humans with supernatural abilities. Taking place in a city but Kekkai Sensen has aliens and humans living together. They are not hated for their powers unlike Tokyo ESP.

Both anime feature people with "supernatural" powers fighting against normal people and others with "supernatural" powers. One group cares for and protects humanity while the other group cares nothing for human life and only wishes to strengthen their own power. In "Tokyo ESP" the supernatural powers are described as being ESP while in "X-Men" the powers are described as "Mutations". Both also take place in real places.

* ESP power * fight between good and bad espers * two leading "races" in universe: normal people and espers

Both deal with humans who acquired supernatural abilities, terrorists who want the country to be theirs and those who want to stop them, along with the police. In addition, they show the sufficiency of those who are gifted, by being marked, by being trampled by even the humanity that is once part of them.

Both of the shows revolve around a phenomenon that happened, giving people special abilities.

Both show how people experiment with the protagonists to obtain greater power. In addition it shows the internal struggle of our protagonists in trying to be heroes, and being unable to do anything about it.

both have weird turn of events every now and then both have mc who aims for nobel goals and they are both filled with all kinds of feelings

Both have very dysfunctional societies that horribly have to deal with two separate races of 'humans'. Also, the main characters are both females that act pretty similarly in attitude and mindset towards their secondary male character.

I feel like Noragami and Tokyo ESP are both -Dark with light, campy, humorous aspects (though Noragami is considerably lighter/happier) -Action-packed with a thread of romance that keeps things interesting -Both deal with the supernatural and real worlds colliding Overall if you like action (and even a little gore?) but with funny/romantic elements, you'll like them both. Noragami is more fun and light-hearted, while Tokyo ESP is deeper and more sentimental They're both entertaining!

Both are setted in a world where people who can use esper powers/magic exist. Those people are considered evil/being discriminated against by most of normal people. Group of people with those powers are fighting another people with those power that are harmful to society.

The animation style is the same if not identical Some of the characters in Ga rei zero are in tokyo ESP and vice versa The two animes take place in the same world at roughly the same time There is a lot of violence in both along with the depressing themes that you would see in Ga rei zero Overall these two anime feel very similar so if you like on you would also like the other.

-Both have a cast of likeable and unique characters. -Both have heroines which are badass They both give of a similar vibe which is hard to describe. If you like one, then the odds are you're going to love the other :)

Both shows take place in worlds occupied by both humans and "superhuman" entities, and explore the tensions created between them. They both take place in modern Tokyo and heavily feature urban settings.

The show is similar to Tokyo ESP: - Contains a group of people who contain a certain power ("minimums" in Hamatora and "ESP (Extrasensory Perception)" in Tokyo ESP. - The people who contain the power are discriminated against leading them to hide among the ordinary. - A group of the "special" people come together. The way that they vary: - One consists of a "savior" trying to bring equality to all people. (Hamatora) - The other is overthrowing the humans and making them accept that they're weaker than them. (Tokyo ESP) If I am missing anything or something is wrong, shoot me a PM and I'll update it.

Both are supernatural action anime setted in world where some people have superpowers. Main character has special ability and fights against other people with special abilities.

Both character from the anime has ESP skills which makes it difficult for them to fit in. Even though the Tokyo ESP focus on battle with society Kotoura-san focus life drama, but a I can feel love between the hero and heroine which grew strong because of their ESP skill.

The concept of espers is a prominent idea in both series. Toaru Kagaku no Railgun (A Certain Scientific Railgun) and Tokyo ESP involves characters who are able to perform supernatural abilities. Gifted with an ability of her own, the main female protagonist vows to user her powers to help the public. Their personalities are similar as well with an innate ability to easily make friends with others. The setting of both series have similarities. However, it's noticeable that Railgun has developed various technology that can change the future.
