Euphoria

My first hentai anime and I started with this one. This was recommended to me under the genre of a 'horror' anime (?). So I watched it expecting a horror anime and the least I can say is that I received a HORRIFIC anime.

Story ~ 4
This kind of tricked me into believing I was watching just a horror anime as oppose to a hentai. The first scene of this anime is a girl being electrocuted to death because she won't comply to this weird hentai game which is being observed by everyone. Also, I guess because it follows a visual novel which probably ... has different endings, the story changes a lot which confused me. As well as this the anime ends rather abruptly, just in case you are planning to get into this one.

Art ~ 6
Sure the characters are cute and the main guy can look both clueless and menacing as needed so I'll give a six. I guess the art detail is good for the sex scenes maybe, I wouldn't really know I don't tend to view things such as what happens in Euphoria. Nice graphic hentai if that's what you want.

Sound ~ 6
I didn't know what to give here. The music kind of builds up to each sickening scene and every moment of 'deliberation and decision'. Not much to say here but it didn't make me cringe so I put the score a little above average.

Character ~ 7
From the rest of my review this rating seems laughable. No I haven't gone insane, I did quite like some of the character complexes, like Byakuya's. A few of the characters were built up but this inevitably led to them crashing down to the rank of submissive and mindless. The main character has a strange sadist complex which he wants to repress but can't manage it, which piqued my interest but this is hentai so why would he overcome it?

Enjoyment ~ 6
Purely because the awkward dialogue and stupidity of the fickle girls made me laugh at times. They sincerely go from 'My purity!' to 'Use me as you wish master' in ten seconds. Again I know it is hentai and I'm not going to see strong female characters too often but it was extremely unrealistic, which also allowed me to detach myself from the whole thing.

The anime is quite unclear at times but as I said before I believe it was following the alternate endings of a visual novel. For some reason they put in the plot of a forced sex hunger games type thing yet don't explain it. I know hentai isn't renowned for outstanding plot but c'mon you can't put that in and leave it! If you're into sadism and the mistreatment of women (and them eventually enjoying it) I guess this is the anime for you :)

TL;DR: READ THE VN

Most people that know Euphoria is because of the animated adaptation, which compared to the average hentai is much more eye-catching because of the aesthetic choices, concept, shock value and good animation. There was a good amount of ambition and care put into this thing, and if you're into just finding a random hentai at 3am and just asking yourself "what the hell did I just watch?" after doing your business, I think this does the trick like few can. However, while it is better than the average anime adaptation and it is hotter than the original material, I do think it ... does kind of a disservice to story of the original Visual Novel, which is a shame because it is genuinely a great concept.

It's a literal rape fantasy scenario where the MC, Keisuke, is forced to commit degrading sexual acts on her classmates or else they all just die. However, as you advance in the story and you start uncovering what the hell the hell is happening, things get darker in very thought-provoking ways. It's the Metal Gear Solid 2 of eroge VNs, it's very pretentious but also incredibly bold and experimental, and to accompany that there's great character moments, specially from Nemu Manaka, which is an outstanding character with great presence to the point where she carries the whole game.

In contrast, while I think the animated version is interesting its own way, it's also the product of taking the most superficial aspects of the VN for a 20 minute OVA format. There's a lot that's lost in translation, and I think that's a shame. So, if you're really insistent on checking out Euphoria because of... culture, the VN is the one place to go. It's still fucked up, but I guarantee it'll live rent free in your head for years.

guys i think i downloaded the wrong human centipede movie ... shock value at its finest. this would be a great addition to the disturbing anime iceberg if that even exists. kinda alarming that i found out about this on tik tok. wanted to start this journey for a long time, i was looking for some disturbing animes to watch since that's something i look for in movies and i think its quit hard to find animes with horror aspects on this matter, would love to dig that up a little bit more, and as this is going to be my first commentary here it's ... safe to say this was just a whole different thing from what i was expecting, dont know how write this to be honest without using some terms that can easily describe the show in a non pg13 way.

if you like skat and actual torture, then go ahead and watch the entire hentai. The only thing I actually enjoyed in this show was episode 1. Episode two sends away alot of veiwers in the beginning.
Art and sounds were great! However the story is a meh. Fans only in my opinion.

I do not understand. things keep changing. Some stupid point-to-point teleportations that make it hard to understand what's going on. You have to understand what the author meant. The scenes themselves sometimes really interesting. The ideas came from some sick guest, that is for sure, but I want to meet him and be his friend. Theme from the movie The Human Centipede - respects. An interesting idea to make a hero from a bad, sick, unfit for life in a society, ugly and not knowing moderation, because in my opinion the author had it in mind. As for the heroes, some characters are unnecessary for ... me at all. As a fan of well-groomed girls hair, I am dissatisfied. No detail or any artistry. Panties without an idea, the same costumes. If we focus on a variety of copulation methods, I think everyone will be satisfied. A lot of variety, so everyone will find something for themselves, from the more normal things to the most sick. Generally good, idea - great, execution - good, ending - what the **** do you mean.

At first I viewed this for the same reason everyone else did, then realized you can get far more entertainment trying to unscramble the mental gymnastics that is this shows lore, I have managed to wrap my head around the incoherent half-baked ideas vaguely strung together to form a plot and it was quite the journey. If you see yourself getting enjoyment out of constant plot twists beyond reasonable comprehension to such a extent that you check to see if the show is listed in the comedy genre then I would recommend this terrible Hentai to you, its one of those so bad that its ... gone full circle and become good type of things.

Also it taps into just about every fetish that can be described as "edgy" or "gross" so if that's your thing, cool...

it's kinda sad I hear the visual novel is better and more detailed but this anime is fairly good I've never seen any shit like this before so I kinda liked the absolute originality! at least for me it was!

Having freshly finished the VN in a day, and rewatching this anime series, I find to have cleared quite a number of question marks for the anime.

The anime series jumps straight to each character's routes and their rape scenes during the 'game', with perhaps the additional H scenes from thereafter their escape from the research lab. There were not many reasons offered as to what and why these events are happening.

After finishing the VN, I find that Euphoria was deeper than it was portrayed in the series. Sure, the VN might not have a coherent plot, but it is sitll better than the anime which ... ignores the plot completely. Then again, I think that is the purpose of the anime series : to sell the VN.

Character and art wise I think it was done quite nicely. The voice acting was good too. Though this might be biased as I enjoyed the range of voices the VAs had to make in the VN.

I would not really recommend this if you are not into rape and rough sex with some gore and scat involved. But it did piqued my interest of the full story, but I wouldn't recommend the VN if you want a solid story, but I would recommend it for its H scenes. You could read online the spoiler-filled summary for Euphoria to get some idea what is it about, but I can assure you very few was portrayed in the anime series.

Hentai with an unregular storyline is very rare. This animation work will fall in that catagory. Rather than regular home alone, empty classroom or office hentais, it's has good edge of plot in terms creating a base and stick in to it.
My curiosity is that, which kind of organization in this anime has such equipments and men power to control a a school and organizing a lab for playing games with the characters ? Apart from that, everything is pretty fine and has good description. Overall this art of work is SIX out of TEN for me.

Plot is base around seven contestants, unconsciously put into ... a room with cameras. They got to know, they have fallen into a trap, only way to get out of there is to play by the rule and obey each commands from the host. Refusal to the command means escape through death and there is no other way. The male protagonist Kiesuke is one of the victims along side 6 other females. To open the door lock of multiple layers, they have to perform as Key-holder and key-hole and with each tasks, one door will open for them. As there is one male, only he can be the key-holder and rest have to play the key-hole and key-holder holds the ability to choose hia key-hole for each task. By performing tasks, the contestants get to know certain secrets and tries to flew through a secret hole.

One thing that is pretty annoying and intresting at the same time is, this hentai has 3 parallel endings. Each ending has different end-up pairs. First four episodes definite storylines and last three are parallel endings. Sad thing is Kanae doesn't have a good ending in any of these three.

Hentai story line acknowledges the protagonists with bearing strong will, that nobody posses. He tries everything to make woman happy in erotic way, that's too common, but here alongside strong will character gets development in personality as well, which isn't certain. Honestly I didn't enjoyed the erotic scenes though, worse dialogues in those parts, like woman's are describing what's happening inside their body. Ex: 'aah! It's too warm. What's that? it's getting big, can't suck it's. Seems womans in the show can't see what's happening with them. 😂

The story is just the funniest shit ever with plot twist and 2 different routes at the final of the "anime", it's disturbing but if you don't take that serious you will laugh.

The characters are funny asf, two of them are just sex dolls, but there appearance at the episode 6 is funny asf with the most weird and hilarious plot twist ever.

Sound, bruh, you will suffer from that, moan's of suffering, and the fact that the girls keep describing the scene they are in, per example, ... they are having sex and this mf starts sating things like, oh your p*nis is so h*rd in my `v*gina, thats funny asf in my opinion.

Enjoyment, funny asf, nothing more...

It's a shame MAL doesn't list the Eroge, becuase if it did, this'd be a much more different review.

Put simply, this off-brand anime is a sub-par adaption of a frankly groundbreaking visual-novel/eroge (there's an actual reason why, if you looked up Euphoria analysis (prior to the HBO show tarnishing the name), there was quite a lot of tumblr fan theorising, and such). The animation quality is poor, there's no uncensored version (despite the original VN being sold uncensored), the story is dumbed down for some reason, and it doesn't actually keep about 80% of the content (in both the joke term, and the actual meaning ... - there's less sex here, but also less of everything else).

Actually, you know what? Screw it. This hentai adaption is so mediocre, I'm just gonna tell you what you really should know - don't bother with the hentai, unless you want a quick, dirty fap. If you want the legendary - or, should I say, infamous - context of Euphoria, you should - nay, must - play the original game. It has a genuine look at the human condition and it's many, *many* flaws, a commentary on the nature of humanity itself, and an in-depth analysis of mental health and sexuality. Whilst, might I add, also being an extremely sexual hentai game with absolutely perverse content - and, uh, very well made art.

My score for the game is vastly different to my score for the hentai: the VN easily gets 9-9-8-10-7-9. It's let down by a mediocre soundtrack, and the nature of being a porn game; if anything, I'd read a novel adaption of it, maybe make a series based on the premise. It's a shame the MAL review doesn't allow spoilers, because I could spend hours writing and chatting about the story and ideas surrounding this *literal BDSM porn game* - that's how odd, and entertaining, this blackened nugget of a gem is.

TL;dr - bad hentai, read the visual novel if you wish to find Enlightenment. And, remember - suffering on the surface is our sustenance!

After discovering this hentai I've decided to watch it drunk with my friend on new years eve on a wide tv screen. And that's how I feel it should be watched for the most part. It is enjoyble because it's so ridicilous. Taking Euphoria seriously for it's plot doesn't really work since the plot isn't all that developed. And watching Euphoria just as hentai can be really tiring if you're not a big fan of sadism, gore, violence and all that. Personally I did find some scenes that I genuenly liked. But the problem with Euphoria is that it's never subtle. All the torture and ... rape is always showed in your face and it can be rather difficult to get into this anime.

But hey, if you're the type of person who does have a murder fetish, then this show will suit you well. And for those like myself who like to have fun and go all "OOOOHHHHHH" after seeing some character get all screwed up with some over the top way, this will work just fine.

Euphoria is indeed an interesting Hentai and I do admit it was fun to watch, but when it comes to sex and stuffs there are sex scenes that I diddn't really enjoy, particulary to Aoi (the teacher) and Makiba (the loli), their arc was I think lazily done as well as the conclusion where everyone gets happy and pregnant.

However I do like Byakuya's ending though, she's still not my favorite character, Nemu is since she's the most interesting among the six.

Overall Ruphoria is just an intresting Hentai with some good sex ... xscenes but do go expecting that much, but expect an interesting story though, with the expection of Aoi's and Makiba's

There are fetishes or taboos that almost nobody will ever understand or appreciate. Especially ones that might make someone feel nauseous or disturbed by how it is portrayed. When you first encounter it, you will likely feel repulsed or distressed when you aren't ready for it. Let me clarify; this hentai is not for the faint of heart. Why is it, you may ask? Allow me to elaborate.

Euphoria has all of the following scenes that can please a wide variety of fetishes: A girl being electrocuted to death and pissing herself, a girl tied up with a toilet seat around her face as a guy ... shits in her mouth, a girl getting shocked with electrodes to the point of climaxing in a tsunami of cum, a group of girls gets tubes shoved up their assholes to another one's mouth in a circle as they form a poop ring, and a girl being branded with hot irons as she is tied up; Not to mention lots and lots of rape. These scenes don't seem that big of a deal, considering most hentai nowadays incorporate rape, but Euphoria takes it to another level. Unless you've gotten deep down into the rabbit hole of guro manga/doujin written and drawn by very depraved individuals, the things you'll see in Euphoria might make some people feel squeamish and distressed. I know because I was one of them.

I remember watching the first episode when it came out, and at first, it was relatively tame compared to other stuff I've seen. Then the 2nd episode came out. I was not prepared for what was about to happen here. The first that anyone tells you about is the shit-eating scene that lasts about 10 seconds. While that was gross, it didn't nearly hit me until the next one. The scene involved Kanae-chan being strapped in a chair with muscle stimulators and electrodes all over her body and electrocuting her for what seemed like an eternity. How the music plays this creepy piano melody and how brilliant the voice actress portrays her character being electrocuted presented this anxiety-filled atmosphere that I've never had with anything I've ever seen. If I could, I would find a way to watch her do this scene for how she did it. I can only imagine it was hilarious for the crew to see.

Now, what about the rest of the episodes? Are they just as disturbing as the first two? Personally, the last four episodes don't equate to the first two. Yes, the poop ring I mentioned before is where girls get connected by a tube from their ass and mouth in a circle, human centipede style. I found that more hilarious and somewhat sexy in a very sadistic way. It depends on how squeamish you are about poop, I guess. None of the other scenes are as disgusting if you aren't already used to hentai involving rape.

What does make Euphoria stand out other than the fetishistic content is its visuals and animation. This was Magin Label's first OVA, and after this they made Kuroinu, so they were starting out on fire to say the least. The girls all looked fantastic, from the line drawing to the body types they gave them with thicc booties; that's always nice. The sex scenes didn't look cheaply produced either. There are some that I don't go back to only because they didn't spice up my interest due to situations like a milf being forced to wear a diaper and fed laxatives and semen milk. You know how it plays out, and I'm good.

Euphoria is a story-heavy hentai, something you don't see very often. However, as many will tell you that have read the visual novel, the story is all over the place in each episode. You can tell that they are not bothering to connect the story linearly. It's your stereotypical: let's quickly adapt each route into each episode of every girl by hitting the highlights without bothering to add any exposition to not let the viewer be confused. Visual novels tend to have multiple endings, and trying to do one route would have been more sufficient, and people would be less confused. However, that would not satisfy fans who wanted to see their favorite CG scene not being animated, so it's a lose-lose situation for Magin Label. It's a mess, is what I can gather, but at least in the context of it being hentai, it isn't terrible in its purpose.

Earlier I commended the actress who played Kanae. The other actresses and the actor who plays the lead did a pretty good job. You can tell they took the roles seriously and were not half-assing it for a quick paycheck. The music also helps with the horror aspect of Euphoria quite a bit. Something about creepy piano music during a sex scene gives it an anxious edge.

Like I said before, go to this hentai with a warning from me. Not for the faint of heart. But if you're open-minded enough, there are plenty of scenes to enjoy, thanks to the great production value and talented voice acting. Personally, there were only a few scenes I ever go back to. The ones I didn't like ranged from being too gross to boring compared to those I liked. But I will definitely go back to the ones I liked when I'm in the mood to fap to something fucked up.

For people that like horrifying, twisted, sadistic media, you'll know how valuable it is when you stumble across something that *actually* leaves an impression in you. Most "normal" people can pull up any "Top 10 Scariest Horror Movies" list and be frightened by 90% of them. But for the frequent flyer, your idea of horror is much more personal, and subsequently, difficult to find realized in the mind of an artist and made into something tangible.

Of all things to scratch that itch for me, it's Euphoria.

I love the death game genre, and when I heard the synopsis for Euphoria, I was all in. I ... was expecting a more sexual, anime version of "Hostel" and that's sort of what Euphoria delivered, but not at all how I expected.

What's great about Euphoria is it first gives the people what they came for, in as coldly executed of fashion as possible. But then, it mixes it up, and gives you way more than you bargained for. All I'll say on that is there's a reason a lot of p0rn sites only have the first 4 episodes up.

Compared to the game, the hentai adaptation just doesn't compare. But to say that I don't think it's a valuable companion piece, or at least somewhat enjoyable standing by itself, would be a lie.

I would start with the game and then give this hentai version a shot. If you're not willing to play the game but ARE interested in the story, the hentai isn't a bad substitute.

If you're anything like me, the world of Euphoria will seep into your skull, and your brain will churn over it's oddities and complexities for months.

(note: I may be conflating my impressions with my experience with the visual novel, so this review may be somewhat tainted)

My review aims to address the comparison between the Euphoria Anime and the Euphoria Visual Novel. I am not reviewing Euphoria Anime as a standalone work.

If you go to Youtube and search 'Euphoria visual novel review', the most popular video (at the moment of writing) is "This Visual Novel Traumatized me" by Sydsnap, which is so blatantly disingenuous that it's kind of appalling to watch it. It boils down to "It's disgusting with its depiction of sex and fetishes and, therefore, a terrible and traumatizing experience", which is how the creators of the anime adaptation likely felt as well. This superficial understanding of the ... Euphoria VN does a huge disservice to the actual story, which is the reason I wanted to share my experience with this work.

First of all, the general outline of the Euphoria VN. Reading it takes about 30-35 hours for all routes, while the anime is only 2 hours. All the worldbuilding, character development, plot, etc., are completely stripped in the anime adaptation, only retaining the superficial elements - the sex scenes. In the VN, sex scenes act as a tool for character development, but in the Anime, they become the whole purpose of the show, which is, unfortunately, how most people view works depicting sex and fetishes. The whole reason the vast majority of people watch the Euphoria Anime is to later say: "Look at what messed up shit I jerked off to!", which is similar to saying "I watched the Monogatari Series for fanservice, I wasn't really paying attention to the dialogue." Unfortunately, the Euphoria Anime can be watched only as a weird jerk off session, but the VN provides so much more than that.

*Minor spoilers for the Euphoria Visual novel*
The protagonist of Euphoria, Keisuke, wakes up in a suspicious white facility, where he finds himself and 6 girls trapped. Then, the announcer lady says they will have to perform different sex activities to escape. At this point, one of the girls refuses to accept it and tries to escape, but is not able to since she gets captured and brutally executed via an electric chair. Keisuke witnesses it with disgust, however, finds himself with a massive erection. Nemu, one of the other 5 girls, rather suggestively points that fact to Keisuke and later blackmails him for getting erect at the sight of a girl being executed. That pretty much sums up the prologue for the VN and the first episode of the Anime adaptation. The similarities between the VN and the Anime also end here.

Remember the feeling you got from the prologue I just described as the Visual Novel will reconstruct it in a way I found incredibly masterful and unexpected. Experiencing the character development both Keisuke and Nemu go through is a very unique experience, which is something that could only be done in the Visual Novel media and the Ero-Guro genre.

If you got interested, I will now go into the details of how to experience the Euphoria VN technically since its narrative structure is a bit confusing for new Visual Novel readers. Let's go back to Sydsnap's Euphoria review. I genuinely believe that she hadn't actually read the whole VN, and finished it at the start of the climax, while thinking that this is the actual end of the story, which ruins the whole experience tremendously. The final reveal and True Endings are what makes this Visual Novel truly great, but you can easily miss them if you don't know what the VN expects of you as a reader.

The easiest approach is to use a guide. For my reading, I used this one (https://forums.fuwanovel.net/topic/17529-euphoria/), which helped me optimize my experience tremendously, but my personal recommended routes order is:
Makiba Rika --> Aoi Natsuki --> Byakuya Rinne --> Manaka Nemu --> Hokari Kanae --> Brute\Devil End (True Bad End) --> Good\True End (Main End)
*My whole reading took me about 35 hours, the full Euphoria experience.

For the shorter, but still viable read order:
Byakuya Rinne --> Manaka Nemu --> Hokari Kanae --> Good\True End (Main End)
*Misses out some details, but the general idea of the narrative is still present. Will take approximately 20 hours to read.

The confusion is in the Hokari Kanae route, which is not available at first, and appears only after finishing Manaka Nemu route. The VN doesn't indicate it in any way but is actually very clever if you know the whole plot.

Lastly, I want to address the most important factor: "Is it possible to masturbate to Euphoria Visual Novel?". I would say I jerked off about 4 times out of ~90 sex scenes there is, but I can hardly recommend to anyone for that purpose. The main appeal is a psychological horror element, which is one of the strongest out of any media I've witnessed. The end of Brute\Devil End (True Bad End) has scarred me psychologically for the rest of my life but in a good way since it is done for a narrative purpose. It shifted my perspectives of what I consider a worthwhile watching/reading/playing/listening/etc. experience, and I highly recommend it to anyone, who can stomach it.

... So, this hentai is kind of infamous, as most of you know. It's dark, has a lot of rape, and the story line can be kind of hard to follow. This is definitely not a hentai for the faint of heart, or if you don't like extreme kink, rape, and BDSM content. Let's get into it!

~~~ STORY ~~~
I really enjoyed the story of Euphoria, though it can be kind of hard to follow at some points. The best way I can describe it is if Saw, was hentai. I really enjoy gore in general (not in a kink way) so I liked the graphic violence with in it. However, the story jumps around a lot, sometimes its hard to tell what is happening, what is a memory, and what is just in Takatou's imagination. The ending is even more confusing, with a bunch of different hentai tropes that just blend together and form a muddled mess. The ending of Euphoria kind of sucks. The original plotline was so interesting, made sense, while still keeping it cryptic. Overall, I'd give the story 7 if it weren't for the ending, so it gets a 5.

~~~ ART & SOUND ~~~
The art and sound of this hentai are just... *Chef's kiss.* It has significantly better animation than most hentai's and the voice acting is fantastic. The ONLY problem I have with the animation is that there seems to be a lot of animation loops, but that is made up for (for the most part) by the amount that positions change, and that there aren't many repeat positions. The art style is fantastic. When it comes to the sound, I think it could use some more background sound, especially when it comes to imagination and flashback sequences. The background is kind of quiet, other than the sounds of the girls, and a few... other sounds. The voice acting, is fantastic in this. It manages to be simultaneously that school girl anime voice, and those hot hentai moans, squeaks, and squeals without being annoying and shrill like it can get in some hentai's. Huge Props to the voice actors! Overall, I gave the art a 7, and the sound an 8.

~~~ CHARACTERS ~~~
The characters were... interesting to say the least. There is not the most character development with a few exceptions. There are a ton of character plots that are shown, but never explained. Things that are explained are complex and don't make very much sense in the story.The characters all fall flat for me and each kind of embodies the traits of your average stereotypical high school hentai tropes (trope list below, spoilers). There isn't much to say without spoiling anything, so I give the characters a 5.

When it comes to my overall enjoyment, this hentai is hot if your into that shit. As someone who is not super kinky... it was not my favorite. The rape didn't really bother me, but some of the scenes were a bit much. The best episode is definitely episode 3, and the worst were episodes 5 and 6. Euphoria is definitely not for everyone, but I would say worth the watch. I'd rate this hentai a 6 overall.

This series is honestly give or take. The actual hentai I didn't enjoy too much (but it was fun to watch and make fun of) but I think the visual novel definitely is better at explaining the story and certain details that the anime didn't explain at all (e.g. why they were in the game). I thought the characters were mediocre, my favorite was probably Byakuya.

One of the only problems I really had with the anime was the main character, Keisuke, I found him extremely bland (which most guy characters in hentai are) and I also found his slow decision making to be irritable when ... he would wait until the last two seconds of the countdown to choose a keyhole.

As for the actual kinks themselves, I don't have too much to say on them. I'm not into a lot of the stuff, however, if you're into defecation, piss, humiliation, r*pe fantasies, etc. I think you might enjoy it.

Overall, it was honestly ok, I would've enjoyed it a little more if the hentai explained why everything was happening so I didn't have to look up the visual novel to go off of after watching it. I thought it was very fun to watch with a few of my friends as well.

Alright imma be honest I skipped episode 5 cuz I wanted to see the ending and I do not know the plot at all but HOLY HELL, Some of these scenes were graphic like lots of blood, physical harming, and even uhh... 2 girls one cup stuff(luckily that was one time but still WTF(even worse it happened to the only girl I cared about))
This is a total mind f**k like I mean I had to go to the comments to see if someone explained the plot and I just got more confused.
This is one you watch for plot, there's rarely anything hot about this unless ... ur into that weird weird stuff.
