I'm kinda stuck on a dilemma with the Fate franchise right now. I really want to watch the adaptations now that the Heaven's Feel movies are out, but a the same time, considering the quality of the infamous original Stay Night show, I also really want to just play the VNs instead.
Though the first visual novel alone taking, from what I've heard, around 70 hours to fully complete certainly makes the anime adaptation option a more tempting choice...
Thanks, man. I appreciate your feedback :) Bakemonogatari technically is a good show in the art and music department. The character arcs is quite memorable and has deep meaning so I gave it 8/10. Even though it kinda lacks a solid plot. But I assume Bake is more like a character intro than the main story yet.
Heya! Sorry for the late reply. Yeah, I mean, even with so much hate that it is receiving, I think TPN Season 2 is pretty fine. So, what else are you reading/watching?
Oh definitely. I tend to prefer VNs that are more on the linear side, but I also like how unpredictable stories with many routes can get, and Steins;Gate really hit that sweet spot between both styles for me. I expected it to only have a true route with some bad ends, so I was really blown away once I entered Suzuha's route. While we're on the topic of S;G, have you played Linear Bounded Phenogram? It's a collection of side stories, but it complements the original really well, and for me it even surpassed Steins;Gate 0 at times.
I also played through Raging Loop a few months ago, which I really enjoyed. It's a shame those kind of interesting suspense VNs are so uncommon

Thanks! To be honest, since I watched Grisaia all the way back when it was airing, I really don't remember much from it. I recall it being quite obvious that it was a visual novel adaptation that had to cram multiple routes into a tiny 12 episodes, but as you said, it surprisingly didn't come out as a complete mess. Ignoring the pacing issues, I remember it being a fun watch. Though I do recall enjoying the sequels slightly more since they didn't jump as much between different arcs
I've been eyeing the visual novel for a long time now though, and since I've finally forgotten so much about the anime's story, maybe I'll play through it soon-ish (which could be hard, as I already have several VNs in my backlog...)
Thank you. I really don't get why people defend this so hard. If they accepted this is a hentai, there wouldn't be much of a problem, but they refuse to see that 35% of porn (or more) that every episode has, lmao.
