Haha, I think I had a similar reaction to that. I just smiled with disbelief when they revealed it. It was pretty shocking and somewhat funny because I had a little bit of suspicion about whether Nina was turning into her dark self (I was about to accept this possibility) or Johan, but I didn't think they were going that route, but they did. In the end, it made a lot of sense that it was Johan. I don't know if you still remember, but I felt bad for Detective Suk the most because he fell for 'her' the hardest, I think, with the blushing and stuff lol.

Yes, I really like Monster! It's one of, if not my favorite anime. I love the story as well. I just like the way it was written through a web of mysteries that gets deeper and deeper as the series goes on. We know who did it, but the exploration goes about how and why, and, in a sense, also who, but not who did it, but who is Johan? And those questions feel elevated as well because Johan is an intriguing character. I also like most of the characters and the themes they explore. So, even though it's a slow-burned show and some segments may be boring to some, I enjoyed every minute of it.

Are you on some kind of break or just simply slowed down from watching anime? I hope you continue watching Monster someday in the future :)

Haha all good! maybe I'll give the LN another chance, I have been struggling to get into anything new recently though.

As for anime I have been really enjoying recently, honestly, kind of in a slump right now. I occasionally will have no motivation to watch anything and thats how I feel right now. I haven't been keeping up with the new JJK after the break but that was the only anime I was really enjoying. Zom 100 is alright and I feel like I would enjoy it more if I wasn't in an anime slump right now. Helck is pretty average. I kinda got carried away about a month ago and read a decent portion of the Helck manga. It has a pretty high rating (8.21) and I really do not get it. I binged the first 70 ch of the manga but never felt the plot was very interesting, it was more of just me indulging myself in a crappy story (like a trashy isekai for example) . People were hyping it up saying how original and different it is but I disagree. I haven't touched the manga in over a month now, but who knows, maybe the last 40 chapters will be so good that I start singing it praise like everyone else. As for Mushoku Tensei, I have never been a fan of the series and this season is the same. I guess the fact the characters are a little older makes it less creepy to me but I still hate Rudeus. Liar Liar is unwatchable garbage. At this point I am not even watching it, I just have it playing in the background while I am doing something else. Since I have gotten this far I might as well finish it.

I am really looking forward to the fall season though. I'll probably get over my anime slump by then and I am really looking forward to some of the new titles. I am fighting the urge to read the Sousou no Frieren manga cause I don't wanna ruin the anime for me. Tbh though, I will probably end up reading the manga after the first few episodes If I really enjoy it. It looks like an emotional but wholesome story.

I did recently start watching Hunter x Hunter and have been enjoying it. I am at episode 20 and am pretty sure I just finished the Hunter trial arc and I've gotta say, some of the challenges were super anticlimactic. Especially the last one. Other than that, I am enjoying it.
