Dad Bear Gorilla and I is such an underrated gem that hardly anyone will talk about it when it comes to mentioning manga with Childcare/Slice of Life theme. The characters are lovable, the character development is very amazing and every character fits into the story so perfectly, that it really gives a peaceful read for the viewers.

The main child character Michiru, resembles highly like Anya Forger, and she is cute, smart and carefree. Not only there's comedy involved, but this manga has all sorts of genres, office romance like Wotakoi, mismatch romance of Bear Gorilla like Ore Monogatari, and many moments that reflects a changed ... life after someone loses someone important.

Never did I thought, a simple SOL story about 3 people and various people in their life would turn out to be such an amazing story. I highly recommend reading this manga if you are looking for a liad back story with love, comedy, family relations and childhood nostalgies.

The Way Of The Househusband is a weird but interesting series that you could easily finish in less than an hour. Nothing too special but an engrossing series to say the least and the 2nd season does follow the same. It doesn’t dive too deep into romance and action, it sticks to comedy, and that’s what I appreciate in this series. The quirky unorthodox humor is strangely great, which accounts for laughter.

Just like the first season, Season 2 has nothing new to offer, just some simple light comedy. The only problem which I still feel prevailing is the animation/art style. I wish it could have ... been like some normal anime instead of slideshow.With all of this taken into close consideration, I rate Gokushufudou: The Way of the House Husband at an overall 7/10. Although it falls short in some visual qualities, I believe it more than makes up for it in story, comedy, and character.

Chainsaw Man, I would say is not at all hyped. It delivered on various aspects, be it in gore or action. The animation mix of 2D and 3D gives fluid touch to the characters and no censorship to the gory parts played a pivotal role in the anime's popularity.

At the end of the day, Chainsaw Man is saved and sustained by its personality. Yes, I know, there’s been some problems with VA mismatch and the animation got weird in certain scenes, but the series as a work of literature is just so intense, interesting, and goofy. Overall, Chainsaw Man impresses on so many levels ... I think it’s safe to say it delivers on the hype it got. From its extraordinary characters to its technical brilliance, Chainsaw Man is really a cut above any recent shounen animes. Waiting for the upcoming arcs to get animated.

Bleach TYBW gives an insanely amazing comeback to a long ended shounen anime without adapting the final arc of the manga. Starting from the characters to the animation, Bleach TYBW improves a lot. The final arc is a serious and bloody one, with a lot of fights and the first cour is just a start.

Pierrot has done an amazing job in splitting the cours, which will not impact the overall production of the final arc, which resumes after 10 years. The characters became more bold, aggressive and the action sequences were totally heavenly. It feels nostalgic and amazing to see an action battle shounen anime ... to be back with it's most intense arc. Will eagerly wait for the 2nd cour till Summer 2023.

Starting off directly after the scenes of Dawn of the Deep Soul movie, Made in Abyss S02 is equally haunting and traumatizing. The characters dwelve into the 6th layer, where humanity perishes, however these brave adventurers continues to forge their path in moving forward.

The backstory of Irumiyuu was very emotional and heartbreaking, which I felt was the highlight of the show. The animation was rich, gory and beautiful at the same time, good work by Kinema Citrus. It's all about surviving from banishing one's humanity by pouncing on whatever you get, to live in a mysterious world.

Very much looking forward to the sequel of these ... adventurers travelogues to the hidden mysteries of the unexplored world in a pit.

Continuing with the 4th season after 4 years, Overlord sees Lord Ainz planning his world domination. First of all, the animation has been an improvement compared to Season 2 and 3, with better,if not great, CGI for Death Knights and some other characters. The storyline stays the same, world domination through takeover, war and massacre.

One part I felt could have been bit better was the character development. It felt like lot of characters came and went within couple of episodes without contributing or affecting much of the story. I haven't read the LN, and won't say that it is one of the great adaptations, however ... Overlord continued to charm with it's badass anti-hero main character and political strategy to attain world domination.

My Rating for S4 : 7.5/10

Many sports anime come and go over the years, some barely staying in the memory of viewers. However, every so often, something appears that grabs viewers' attention and Ao Ashi has achieved that this Spring 2022 season.

Ao Ashi frames itself as kind of a rags to riches story. Ashito Aoi is clearly talented; he and everyone around him know that much. However, he has to climb more obstacles than most due to his familial situation, competing against people who stand in the way of his road to success. Many sports anime dramatise the sport itself while simplifying everything else around the players and teams, while Ao Ashi ... was totally relatable and realistic.

Coming to the technical aspects, the OST was sane and the animation by Production I.G (the studio behind other sports anime like Haikyuu, Run With The Wind, Kuroko No Basket) was clean and was consistent. Compared to other works by the same studio, Ao Ashi felt bit behind in terms of excitement or relativity, however it was effective enough to deliver it's story against the backdrop of a protagonist who is trying to make his mark (I relate it to Diamond No Ace, which I also rated the same). It might be the top sports anime, but I will hold my horses for Blue Lock, since it involves the same sport.

I don't wanna admit but yes OP Red was not the best part in One Piece movies. The story was not solid, and even though I knew it was about Uta and Shanks and music, there was too much songs filled in the movie.

Yeah, I liked the last 15-20 mins with all the action, and also watching couple of my likeable characters (Katakuri) coming back to screen. Apart from that, the first half was not much interesting. Can say, that One Piece Red is a one time watch, although they have done good job with the animation and OST.

Drifting Home is admirable for its patient commitment to unpacking the children’s feelings about each other, the building, and other relics from their pasts, all as they learn how to carry their attachments and memories to new places.

Helmed by Studio Colorido (A Whisker Away, Penguin Highway), Drifting Home had good visuals, with a fantasical kinda storyline that relies upon relationships that are tough to let go. There’s enough liveliness to Drifting Home that two hours in a single location against a minimal background doesn’t actually feel like overkill.While the overall journey is smartly and sensitively realized, there are points where the movie does feel (appropriately!) a little ... lost at sea, as its characters wrestle between youthful impulses and empathy for their friends.

Cyberpunk Edgerunners is finally Netflix's first original anime that has positive reviews overall. The anime is based out of a game and has unique visuals, thanks to Studio Trigger (that gave us Kill La Kill).

Starting with the story, it was quick paced with lots of action and bloody massacre as well. The characters were badass and honestly I wasn't expecting any nudity, but it had quite some scenes.

Cyberpunk is a very unique genre of science fiction, and I have to say, this anime had all the elements at the right place. We have the social critics, the femme fatale persona, the nihilist characters, the rock ... music, thr hight tech - low life ambience etc. The ending however didn't fit with me, as it felt a bit rushed and leaving the story to an incomplete conclusion.

Apart from the ending, Cyberpunk Edgerunners had good story with visually stunning animation and decent characters. Trigger deserves an appreciation for their work.
