'Peace Maker Kurogane' Movie to Debut in Two Parts [Update 10/13]

The official website of the Peace Maker Kurogane anime movie has revealed details for the movie project, as well as a new key visual. It has been announced that the movie will be split into two parts, and the first part titled "Omou Michi" ("Way of Feelings") will premiere in Japan on June 2, 2018. The second part, "Yuumei" ("Fate of Comrades") will premiere in Fall 2018.

Peace Maker Kurogane is the sequel series to Shinsengumi Imon Peace Maker that has been serialized since 2002. It previously received six drama CD adaptations, and its cast was announced to reprise in the two-part movie. The series currently has 13 compiled volumes in print, with the latest released on October 10. The prequel series was adapted into a TV anime by studio Gonzo, which aired for 24 episodes between October 2003 and March 2004.

Pretty stoked and surprised! I remember watching this on Anime Network On Demand back in the day and really enjoyed it. Maybe it's nostalgia lenses that make me excited for the upcoming movie since I haven't rewatched it since my initial viewing years ago, but regardless I hope this ends up being a good film
