Takagi is simply brilliant: she was an easy insta-add to my top 10 (which hadn't changed in years so that's sayin' something). Poor Nishkata: she's on a totally different intellectual plane to him lol.

Asaka's personality instantly caught my attention and I knew I had to do a review of my top 10 characters to see if I could bump somebody out for her. Probably any of about 5 characters could go in that last spot :) I mean, the protag of Hibike! (Kumiko) is pretty cool in her own right. Asaka, as good a character as she is in S1 gets a lot of development in S2 making her even more deserving (but so does Kumiko hence why I'm torn between adding one or the other).

Both shows are awesome -- Hibike! is particularly dangerous as I found my self binge re-watching it a couple of times now because the episodes lead into the next so easily.

Speaking of fantasy: I have many fond memories reading Narnia back in the day. The "Horse and His Boy" is probably my favorite.
