I just started listening to it! It's so bizarre, and sometimes scary, but still very powerful and creative.
I'm pretty bad at music, but recently got myself a record player to listen to music on because, heck, if I'm going to by music then it's going to be good looking. Have any recommendations for a newbie? Anything's fare game, but I'm going to try and listen to some psychedelic rock for a bit. I'm also admittedly listening to Pinky Floyd and The Beatles for the first time...

The codex of ultimate wisdom... wowza. Sounds like a really cool game... I'm having a tough time playing recent games let alone classic ones like that. I'm trying to get myself to buy Dark Souls but it's still 59.99 I believe... once it drops to like 39.99 or even less I'll certainly grab it. I have a pal who loves Demon's Souls so when Dark came out he exploded and barely talked to me for like a month lol. The gameplay looks super, and the fact that it's relentlessly challenging seems very rewarding. I tried playing Skyrim around the same time DS came out this year and was completely baffled by it. I'm just such a casual gamer I couldn't even enjoy that. It was all too *waves hands in air* silly. It didn't seem too fantastic for what it promised, and I really hated how easy it was to hack your skills up. I re-sold it within the week I bought it. That's the last video game I bought.
I just picked up BlazBlue CS EX today... I've never played a fighter before so I'm a bit worried. I'll have do a lot of practice mode stuff just to be able to compete with my friends.
Oh! And Pokemon Black and White 2! I'm really excited about this! THis is the first official sequel to the main series games (at least it's rumored to be) so that's just incredible.
Oh yes, and this season is turning out quite nicely for MLP. In fact the Sweetie Belle episode you mentioned was my least favorite episode out of all of them despite it being about my two favorite characters. It was just far too preachy for my tastes, and the jokes just all missed my sense of humor. There fave been huge improvements though since the beginning of the season (although the two part Discord saga is still one of my favorites). The stories have gotten more complex, and the episodes have started to play with their troupes outright (in a certain Applejack episode, AJ says "Dear Princess Celestia, I DIDNT LEARN ANYTHING! I WA RIGHT ALL ALONG!!") which is just great writing.
But yeah Derpy speaks and is named Derpy. Except apparently in the iTunes version they change her voice and don't call her Derpy. It caused even more rage amongst butthurt bronies. You gotta learn to love and tolerate even Apple mang. Some bronies just don't know when to chillax and enjoy the fanservice~
Well I just got back from Cali, so that's why my response has been extra duper delayed. Hope you're having fun in college bro! (Japanese studies is high on my list too if I get into a nice Liberal Arts school, otherwise, it''s international business!)

Hey bro! I haven't really been up to much beyond applying to college. Sorry for dropping off the face of the planet!
I mean, I've only watched a few or so anime over the past few months but I've been keeping up with films. I've been making it my business to watch good films from 2011 (Midnight in Paris and Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy were my top two from the year), and I just snagged Take Shelter, Senna, Uncle Boonmee, Poetry, and Margin Call.
College shuffle has been brutal though. Too much work and what not... as a third quarter senior I'm finally getting some time to slack off and it feels oh so goo~ood.
Also ponies. Season two is wonderful! May the Best Pet Win and Sweet and Elite were two favorites so far! Yourself?
What have you been doing!?

I actually kind of liked 9the first season of) Code Geass the first time I watched it, for all it's faults. But after LotGH I knocked it down two marks on the spot. Code Geass was a joke by comparison.
R2 was just a trainwreck one way or the other, though.
UNEXPECTED BRONY ENCOUNTER. God I love when that happens. Favourite pony?
killer7's kind of a cult thing, and a lot of critics panned it when it first came out, so it's not that surprising you wouldn't have heard of it. It's definitely something everyone should try out at some point, though. Just don't expect it to make sense. I made that David Lynch comparison for a reason.

So I was going through the anime lovers club on last.fm and you were pretty much the only person there with classy tastes.
So yeah, nice classy tastes there.

Of course I'm going to meet my friends there and hang out with them on Saturday. Now I just hope I don't get sick the last few days of September. xD
I doubt I will have much spending money though. Then again they have alot of neat stuff like last year with all those figurines, but so little money to buy. Dx
I got pissed since they didn't have those $2 posters last year and I told the guy that he better tell his boss we need those posters next year cause I'm not buying a $15 poster unless its of my favorite character Rolo Lamperouge. xD but then I became a hypocrite and bought 2 half sized posters with Basil and Hibari from KHR for $15 man I'm so weak.Dx

Hello! Looks like you're grabbing different stuff, so this won't be too hard. In terms of anime that have been aired in those particular decades you mentioned, here's a couple extra ones
70's: Mobile Suit Gundam(tv show or movie trilogy, doesn't matter). Nobody's Boy: Remi, Candy Candy, Marco, Future Boy Conan and Takarajima. I'd recommend Ashita no joe and Ace wo Nerae! as well, but both aren't finished with subs. But the movie versions are, so I'll include those I guess.
80's: Macross, Zeta Gundam, Astro boy, City Hunter, Hokuto no ken, Golgo 13: The Professional, Dragon Ball, Wings of Honneamise, Laputa: Castle in the Sky, Nausicaa, Totoro, kiki's Delivery Service, Grave of the Fireflies, Gundam 0080: War in the Pocket and Sherlock Hound
90's: Hana Yori Dango, Evangelion, Great Teacher Onizuka, Oniisama e, Giant Robo, Master Keaton, Slam Dunk, Mononoke Hime
I'm disappointed that I didn't come up with more, but that's all I'm getting off the top of my head. If you need help finding any particular title I listed, let me know and I'll see what I can do.
Some Mayfield and Cooke mostly. More into Motown soul; like Marvin Gaye, Diana Ross and The Supremes, The Temptations etc

Even if I'm from Romania, I prefer English more, it adds more mystery to the story. In my language I'm getting bored pretty fast and I never succeed in ending a book. Short novels and texts aren't a problem, but books would kill me on a screen... so that's how I ended up playing games: short texts, voice acted mostly, fantasy story...and some action too. Anyway, I don't intend in staying in this country too much. After I leave, I'll try them surely. Thanks for all the info, you are quite a guy ... few even bother.

"Makes me feel less self-conscious about the multitude of fucked-up neuroses I have to deal with every day. "
I seriously laughed out loud, bro.
After a month of wild Summer antics including a trip to quaint old Cape Cod (tl note: quaint means no internet, fapping was rather ROUGH), I have returned. I've been working, too, at a small finance place down the street so that's been keeping busy. I feel I'm learning a lot even by doing grunt-like work, which is great. The college application process is in full storm for me, and I've got to start looking around at the various colleges. I'm trying my hardest to get into Brown in Providence though and have been spending a lot of time contacting friends of friends and enrollment officers and chairman's and admin's of the school... The phone calls and niceties better pay off I tell youse...
To lend back to when we talked about Ozu, I was looking for Children of Tokyo, and I just couldn't find it online. I tried Demonoid, TPB, isohunt, and the mix, and I just can't unearth it. You know where I could find a download, or if you can't, a good spot to buy the DVD? I'll check out Ichikawa and Kobayashi too, and see if I can find any titles that peak my interest. Thanks for the recommendations! It's good to keep busy~
I remember someone wrote a review for Aria a whole ago, and it was essentially the conversation between two guys really high while watching Aria. It essentially encapsulated the essence of Aria... so insanely misty that you've got to be on drugs to attempt to fully understand.
Your dating life sounds so sad bro! As much as I find women intolerable (and after another terribly frustrating escapade with one recently I'm even more misogynistic than ever) I think you should give them more credit. I've got some pretty disturbed fetishes and fantasies, but women can sometimes understand I think. At least a bit skeptically at first, I think they'll be able to embrace your fetishes as long as you distinguish that if, for example, you're into hardcore BDSM that you wouldn't necessarily ask them to do that for you. You're a terribly bright guy, and it would be a shame for you not to get some ladies. So give yourself a little confidence! Maybe those chicks didn't deserve you, bro!
Thomas Edison!? That's crazy! It looks like it belongs in a museum! I like the purple aesthetic to it too... very hip~
B-b-but I should say I have no clue as to what you're talking about when you start getting technical...
And Wal-Mart? How did that go? Any good stories about the times and life of a cashier?
I've actually watched my friend beat a GBA port of Battletoads before. I was stunningly amazed. Apparently he had played that tunnel level you mentioned around twelve hours over three days (while we were in school) before he beat it. I've got mindless patience to do stuff like hatch eggs in Pokemon (I pride myself in hatching 200 hours worth of Darumaka's for a shiny, and then getting one while picking my nose) but I can't do anything like that... I'd beat myself up after about three hours...
And excellent point! I just want to be at Elfheim and see the after math of Griffith's entrancing yet disturbing utopia! Screw tentacles and zombie pirates... I swear if Miura dies and the manga isn't finished because he was drawing silly pirates I'll be mad, bro.
I'll be sure to read Hellstar. That looks... brilliant! And I didn't mean to insult Junji Ito's works. It's just that they seem to greatly range in response depending on how you read them. Reading them late at night is a lot more crytpic and distubring than reading them right before you sit down with the family for dinner.
Speaking of horror, do you follow Marble Hornets? That's something I think I'll never be able to shake. Downright horrific and the paranoia never leaves...
Swinging back to Trapeze (c wut i did thar) my favorite episode would probably either have to be the one with the baseball team manager who realized that it was time for retirement or the one with the man with the constant boner (which in itself is kind of a fear for me, that would be murder to deal with!). The boner episode was so ridiculously hilarious but at the same time so fulfilling to watch. The inter-woven stories are a gimmick that I just love though. Nearly anything that slowly brings stories together makes my mind do back flips. One of my favorites for this is Baccano! of course... (and the live-action movie with Paul Giamatti and Ed Norton - The Illusionist deserves a mention for this too)...
You're OCD sounds like it would be pretty funny to see, despite it sounding rather serious. I wouldn't worry too much about it though, in this modern day and age stuff like that doesn't even seem that uncommon. I've seen stranger is all I should say, heh.
Now for LoGH, tell me how it's going so far? Have a clear cut favorite character (or side)? A favorite character for me from the show was Paul von Oberstein. The show is truly and epic on all levels, and it's worth the time it takes to watch I'd say.
And we still haven't convened on Steam yet! Let's get to that soon! I'll be gone starting tomorrow again until at least the following monday (the ninth) for a school related service trip, but those two weeks following I'll be nice and comfy on my buttocks ready to play!
Hope to hear from you soon!
