marquin2: avid manga reader and anime enthusiast
[Oshi no Ko] fired up my ardent love to read the manga first before the anime. Horimiya: The Missing Pieces is making me reread the manga again. Demon Slayer teaches me to love family and friends. The Promised Neverland rekindled my desire to read manga and watch anime, as well as maintain the hope for a better tomorrow. Fruits Basket provides me happy thoughts and a happy heart. Attack on Titan reminds me to keep up the fight. My Hero Academia reignites my hope to be a superhero even in small ways. Chainsaw Man shows me how broken people can still be repaired with love even after they fall into the abyss. And Fullmetal Alchemist teaches me how one can acquire a "Fullmetal Heart".
Manga and anime taught me life lessons I wouldn't find anywhere else.

I don't actually pay attention to the artwork or covers. I'm just used to reading quickly because I read a lot of books and since they don't have any pictures and just words, it just a habit. Since I also read manga on my tablet, I just have a habit of scrolling right onto the next page even before I finish reading the text bubble. While I am a fast reader I still take long to catch up or finish a manga because once I put it down and take a break from reading it I sometime end up not picking it back up until like maybe a month a later.
I considered Frieren with the same reasoning as you, I found it weird how an anime I didn't even consider when I was picking my seasonal animes had one of the best rating here so I gave it a shot, binge read the manga and now I even bought all the volumes out. Yeah, their release pattern is so weird, but to be honest I don't mind since I enjoy the quality of the story, if the author needs this time to write peak fiction, I am down. I mean, I even bought the volumes and I don't usually do that, I have now 3 manga series in my possession.
They from the same series. It just I can't remember what anime it is from. I might have watched it, but it might be Azur Lane or an anime kinda like it.
The New Year one is from a rhythm game "'Hatsune Miku: Project Sekai'
Ready?
I hope 2024 brings you lots of love, laughter and joy <3
