I find this to be genuine and counterfactual in the utmost esteem. Takena's primer work was a quintessential struggle of overbearing emotions and urges of obscenity, the magnum opus of the corruption of timeless morals and Freudian standards. This is his answer to Romeo and Juliet, a tale of amorous lovers bound by causality to succumb to the endless vortex of mortality, alternatively concluding with the fair haired man defecating from his oral cavity.

the saturation of utter atrociousness in the Phantom Menace, saving generations upon generations from the visual manifestation and sensation of ruination of a notable trilogy. But alas, that isn't why we have gathered here. Allow me to pontificate, if you will, on the virtue of this compilation of psychoanalysis and morality. This modern wonder aired in the year 2012, quickly fading into obscurity by lack of intellectuals that viewed it and recovered its mastery of literary elements. Shitcom pushed the limits of how one can tell a story, breaking new grounds in so many fields, like cinematography, facial emaciation, and visual releases of taint, it's no wonder it's hailed in its rightful light as a cult classic among any self respecting academicians.
Many memorable themes were portrayed in this deconstruction of the uni-harem genre. Degradation of commonplace societal standards of table-side etiquette, appropriation of decadent exertions, and the downplay of polygamous relationships, just to name a few.
Shitcom speaks volumes on the current state of civilization and the gradual transition from past practices that you really can't get in any other anime out there, this is why it is nothing short of brilliant. So, conclusively, I must grant this work a modest ten out of ten.

Perfect Blue is the greatest psychological thriller I have ever had the pleasure of viewing. Let’s cut straight to the point, just as this rollercoaster of a film does

from being a pop idol to becoming an actress. Sadly, there was no way she could have foreseen the grave danger awaiting her, just around the corner of her life. She ends up being cast in a TV series, and this is when the anime becomes quite surreal. Her identity begins to shift in response to trauma and other horrific events that happen to her, and she begins to lose her sense of who she once was. All the while, she has a deranged stalker following her every move, typing what she does every day on an online website pretending to be her. Tensions rise as her sanity slowly degrades and the paranormal takes over. The terrifying aspects of this film will begin to eat away at your sanity too, as you lose perception of what is real, and what is just an illusion in the movie. Satoshi Kon’s genius really shows when the elements bordering on the supernatural are symbolic of Mima’s mental state while also seeming believable in such a harsh yet realistic world. It is art in the truest sense when most everything that happens can mean more than what it seems to at first glance.

FLCL is one of the most amazing anime ever. It’s difficult to find words to describe how magnificent the plot of this series is. Many say it’s just randomness with nothing to it, but I say otherwise. If you really look into this show and pay attention past what is happening on screen, you will realize the amazing plot that this series has set up for those who think hard enough about what they are being presented with.

you can look into both of them while you are watching the show. There is the “lol so random” plot which you would experience if you take everything that happens seriously, which is a good route to take if you are easily amused and you already like a lot of anime comedies, however, there is an even better plot going on behind the scenes the whole time.
There is a symbolic plot in this anime, and it’s just about the most complex and well thought out plot I’ve ever seen because the creators managed to have the regular plot of the random things that happen while having literally everything symbolize something for an alternate plot. It gives you the pleasure of imagining things in your head like you’re reading a book, while enjoying the viewing pleasure that is FLCL. Anyways, if anime doesn’t make you laugh often, then you are not going to enjoy this show if you take it seriously. I felt so bored during the beginning episodes of this series until it hit me that the entire anime is an allegory!
I shit you not when I say this, but nearly everything in this anime is not what it seems. Some try to make theories out of the random side of the show, and they don’t work for a reason, that’s because it wasn’t meant to be that way. The real plot is in the symbolism. The real plot is about the coming of age of the main character, Naota. It is about him as his world is changed forever when he begins to mature and let go of his old childish ways. He begins to come to terms with his sexuality and go down the path of trying to achieve maturity through sexual acts with older women in an attempt to grow up now that his older role model in his life, his brother, leaves for college in America. It is the amazing tale of how this cool kid grows up, told through symbolism of things that seemingly have no meaning yet make their own story alongside the symbolic one.
A fun thing to do while watching and after finishing this series is to theorize about what’s going on. You can theorize about not only the symbolic plot but also the silly plot that is mainly comic relief and randomness, but can still be pieced together to mean something less significant, but fun none the less. When you finish watching it, you should go explore other’s theories of the series on the internet. There are many interpretations of the series, and they’re all quite interesting.
Art 10/10: This series has an amazingly expressive art style that really allows the viewer to feel the mood of what’s going on through the animation. It often changes from traditional anime styled, to a slapstick-cartoony style to many more. FLCL also makes references to other anime and media. At one point, the show is animated like South Park. I’ll put it this way, it was a visual pleasure to watch this anime.
Sound 10/10: This series has great rock/punk/alternative soundtrack that really fits with every scene you are thrust into with this anime. Not to mention a phenomenal ending song, which sets this anime up to have a legendary soundtrack. Also, I figured I would put this in the sound section, the dub for this anime is amongst the best I’ve seen. I would put it up against Gurren Lagann and Samurai Champloo in terms of dub quality.
Characters 10/10: Like I’ve said, the character development of this series is something else, especially considering that a lot of it was portrayed through symbolism. You get to see the main character go through the struggle of puberty and coming of age in such a masterful way. Not only him, but all the other relevant side characters are unique and get developed almost as well as the main character.
Enjoyment 9/10: I put this at a 9 only because it wasn’t quite as entertaining as some of the other series I’ve seen but it was still great. As I’ve said there are two different ways to enjoy this series. 1. You can just laugh at the over-the-top-ness of it or 2. You can look into what everything is really symbolizing and enjoy making the story your own.
Overall 10/10: I put this anime at a 10 because of the amazing way it strung together the two very different plots, a legendary soundtrack, stellar character development, and great artsyles to top it off.
So, when you watch this anime, I highly recommend that you really take a deeper look at the bigger picture that this anime is trying to show you, I guarantee you’ll be in awe at the sheer amount of thought put into each and every detail of this story.

Steins;Gate is a good anime. I liked many parts of it and I would recommend watching it to the majority of people reading this review that haven’t seen it yet if you just want an interesting show with some thrilling moments at various points. It has some flaws that hold it back from being a great anime but it still manages to be quite good in its own right.

better. I don’t like the fact that the characters basically fuck something up and then instead of progressing, they spend the whole time trying to fix what they fucked up. I feel like I’m watching some kids show like Jimmy Neutron because they don’t go anywhere and they just sort of take 1 step forward and one step back over and over. That’s how I feel about the series as a whole. Many things had good potential or were going well and then something happens that ruins that progression. Or vice-versa where a specific element of the story starts off bad but gets better but when I think about it as a whole, the bad part of that element of the story weighs it down to being just a bit above average. For example, It starts off like a typical cliché Slice Of Life but with added science (Which made absolutely no logical sense, but after all, it’s an anime so…). Later on, the plot becomes interesting and original but all that SOL at the beginning weighs down the good stuff during the second half. It also followed the typical visual novel formula with unoriginal plot devices, characters, and events. PLOT SPOILERS ONLY TO EXPLAIN THE SERIES’ FLAWS IN MORE DETAIL FOR PEOPLE WHO HAVE SEEN THE SHOW AHEAD:
Here are some of the flaws from the show(SPOILERS): The fact that these kids who are like 18 can figure out how to solve the most complicated scientific problems like how to go back in time, how to send messages back in time etc. for no reason except “science” and the fact that they are supposed to be smart. They do many things that aren’t smart though, which contradicts the idea the plot has been trying to build up this entire time which is that the characters are smart. An example of this is when they decide to let that moe girl send whatever she wants back in time knowing it could fuck up everything, and when they suddenly can’t use their intelligence to make some new machine to fix the fact that Serun is after them and when Mayuri keeps dying for the convenience of the plot and instead they just keep screwing things up even worse. The fact that they even let someone really stupid like Mayuri know their classified information that Serun might kill them for, is extremely stupid. The whole idea of world lines was not explained thoroughly enough for example what happens to all the people in the world lines that Kyoma leaves? What happens to Kyoma’s body after that? IMO I think that the world line thing and the world line convergence was just used for the convenience of the plot as a BS way to get out of their problems. Seriously, how is the idea of just changing things even more in a world line suddenly cause time to do a 180 and turn things back to normal and fix everything “science”. They mainly use the idea of “science” as a cheap way of progressing the plot instead of actually making anything in the show make any logical or scientific sense. After all, I can’t rip on it too much because it’s just an anime and a science-fiction one at that, after all, it did a far better job at explaining science-fiction concepts than any other science-fiction things I’ve seen. But in the end I believe they still could have done a better job. The ending was surprisingly good and tied up most of the loose ends while making more sense than the rest of the series. It was very entertaining and it was the best part of the series. After all though, the only thing that changes from the beginning to the end is that the characters become better friends and Kurisu and Kyouma start dating. Most of these flaws aren’t too bad though, I just like to being out the negatives in a show in my reviews instead of just praising it the whole time.

Art: I liked the art and animation because it was pleasant to look at. I thought the way that their eyes have a bunch of circles in them and the greyish color pallet fit the show well and added to the atmosphere. It’s nothing amazing but certainly above-average and good. 8/10
Sound: The opening was spectacular but other than that the soundtrack was ok because it lacked any memorable themes. 7/10 because of the opening.
Characters: Many of the characters were quite cliché. They had a tsundere, which I thought was a well-done tsundere but not amazing like Asuka, Senjougahara, Casca etc. I say this because tsundere done well don’t just smack people on the head in a cheesy fashion but instead develop as a character and are shown to be realistic with true feelings and such. Kurisu, the tsundere, has most qualities that a good tsundere has, but they weren’t done as well as they could have been. They were still done well and I’m glad she didn’t turn out like Sakura or Erza and she became something more. Her development was well-done. Then, they have a generic loli called Mayuri who just acts “kawaii” and is really naïve and soft hearted. She gets no development and is just used to add to tension to the plot and nothing more in the end. You have the main character, Houin Kyouma, who is a mad scientist with a hilarious laugh who got some good development but it wasn’t as good as it could have been. He was still a unique and memorable character. Then, there is some moe chick that also acts “kawaii” and gets no development yet again and is just used to add drama to the plot. There is some girl that for no reason, only uses her phone to communicate with others and is basically just fan-service. But seriously, I have literally no idea why she only used her phone to communicate. It was never explained, the viewer is just expected to go along with it for no reason. Yet again, another character is just assigned a random quirk and gets no development. That doesn’t make for a good character. There is another girl who works in the shop below the characters apartment. She has a surprising secret about her that kind of comes out of nowhere (those of you that have seen the show know what I’m talking about). She gets some ok development but nothing substantial. Then there is some guy who looks like a girl and acts like a girl and that’s all there is to him. Finally there is a computer geek who is good with computers and likes moe and that’s it. I give the characters a 7/10. They had potential, but yet again, they wasted it and only had 3 characters with any sort of real development.
Enjoyment: Personally I enjoyed Steins;Gate a lot and even though I bring up a lot of flaws about the series, they are not bad enough to the point where it ruins the show. The slice of life wasn’t that bad and it was unique slice of life because it wasn’t in a high school and only half of the characters were cliché instead of all of them. I believe it was still worthwhile to watch it. 8/10.
Overall I give Steins;Gate an 8/10, because despite its mild flaws, it was still a good show that I enjoyed a lot which had some well thought twists and turns in the plot that kept me interested most of the time. It is barely an 8 though so it isn’t as good as most of my other 8’s.

Angel Densetsu is a hilarious anime. I was literally laughing my ass off every 2 minutes or so to the point where I was out of breath at the end of every episode. It is the funniest anime I have ever seen. It is only 2 episodes so I recommend you to just watch it because it’s short. I promise you it is worth your time. Hunter x Hunter 2011 is amongst the greatest anime I have ever seen. I whole-heartedly recommend it to anyone and everyone who reads this review!
STORY- the story of Hunter x Hunter 2011 is very good because it has amazing fast pacing for the majority of the show without feeling rushed whatsoever. You will feel like you are on a roller coaster ride with the quick progression of the main characters and the twists and turns of the plot! That is why I give the story a 10.

Killua, Kurapica, and Leorio and just be in complete awe at how much they have changed, developed, matured and improved in skill. They change and go through so much together throughout the series that I have no choice but to give the character development a 10.
SOUND- This category is more up to personal preference, but I can say that in my opinion, Hunter x Hunter 2011 has an overall great soundtrack. I absolutely love the opening and most of the endings. Endings five and six are probably in my top 10 ending songs of all time. The iconic opening is very good and upbeat which gets you excited for the episode. The only downside to the opening is that although the opening is great, they never change it as the series goes on. As well as all these other things, The soundtrack is exceptional. The only reason why I give the sound a 9 is because the opening is the same and the soundtrack is good not perfect. It is very close to the perfection of a 10.
ART- The art and animation in Hunter x Hunter 2011 is executed very well. The movements are smooth and fluent and the artstyle looks very nice and colorful but can be very dark at other times (ex: Chimera Ant Arc)
THE RESULT- Overall I give Hunter x Hunter 2011 a 10/10 this anime has truly been amazing, I fully enjoyed every second of it.

Samurai Champloo is one of my favorite anime. I would recommend it to anyone reading this review.
Story- The story of Samurai Champloo is about a group of 3 people in Feudal Japan trying to find a “Samurai that smells of sunflowers”. I know this doesn’t sound like a great idea for story, at least that’s what I thought when I read the description on Netflix, but it is a great story. can range from very funny light hearted episodes that will have you laughing the whole time, to badass fight episodes, to emotionally gripping and tear-jerking episodes that really make you feel for the characters. Another great thing about Samurai Champloo was that not a single episode was repetitive. The only downside to the story is that it is a bit simplistic. I rate the story 9/10
Art- The art of Samurai Champloo is very high quality and well done. It fits the whole style of the rap and Feudal Japan themes. The animation doesn’t have a single flaw to mention, the fights were animated very, very well and they looked amazing. Although it fits the themes well and it is high quality, I personally dislike this type of art because all of the characters look kind of like water paint blobs with really dark outlines around them. I give the art 9/10
Sound- The thing that makes Samurai Champloo unique is the sound of it. It seamlessly blends a weird but good rap music theme with a Feudal Japan theme (Champloo means blend hence the name, Samurai Champloo). I know that sounds weird but trust me it’s actually very good. It is one of the most unique styles in anime. The opening displays this mix very well and kind of shows you what you’re going to be getting into when you watch the show. Not only that, but the opening sounds good and gets you hyped for the cool action sequences and the fun of the adventure. The soundtrack, while not a masterpiece, still fits well with the show and its theme and adds to the immersion. Also, the ending song is superb. Definitely one of the greatest endings of all time. 10/10
Characters- This is where Samurai Champloo truly shines. The characters are on par with Baccano, Hunter x Hunter, and even Neon Genesis Evangelion. I loved all three of the main characters because they were all so unique, well developed, and generally cool people. There is Mugen: a samurai that is a badass and always gets in fights and says cool stuff; Jin: Another samurai who is more calm cool and collected, but still badass when he needs to be. Fuu: The girl who got them to help her find “the samurai that smells of sunflowers” and is funny. All the characters are absolutely hilarious. I give the characters 10/10
Enjoyment/Overall: I enjoyed Samurai Champloo very much. I laughed my ass off countless times while watching this series. Every episode was a new, exciting, adventurous, and comedic installment in the series. I give Samurai Champloo a 9/10. Don’t’ get me wrong, I love this series to death and it is probably one of the few anime series that I could see myself rewatching in the future, but a series has to truly be in a whole other league to be a 10. Samurai Champloo is basically a 9.9 for me, it’s the closest 9 to a 10 on my list.

This is a review for season 1 and season 2 of Black Lagoon. Black Lagoon is a good anime overall. I would recommend it to someone who is really into action and doesn't really care that much about realistic-ness or overall story.
STORY- The story is about a group of modern day pirates going around doing other people's dirty work. They steal things, escort people, attack targets, and search for valuable items in East Asia. Although most of theses episodes are entertaining, they were not entertaining enough and became kind of stale for me after the first 8 episodes.The story never really goes anywhere and is generally repetitive. The last arc was hard for me to get through because I was so uninterested. The last arc is one of the most boring arcs in the series and is a bad way to end the series. I know that isn’t the true end to the series because the manga is still going but it was still a bad way to end the anime. I give the story a 7/10
ART- The art is very good but not great so I give it an 8/10.
SOUND- The opening song has a nice beat but some of the lyrics were weird ex: “You make me violate you, no matter who you are”, “No time for sissy pig” and “I just wanna feel you”. The soundtrack is nothing special because none of the songs are very memorable for me. 6/10
CHARACTERS- The best part about Black Lagoon is its characters. One of the only reasons I stuck around and kept watching was because of the characters. Not only are they all unique and pretty cool people, several of them get very good character development and are very complex and realistic. I really liked the development between Rock and Revy and their characters as well. I will give the characters 8/10.
ENJOYMENT- I enjoyed Black Lagoon overall except for some of its flaws. One of the major flaws that really annoyed me was the fact that everybody will have a very accurate aim or a really bad aim whenever it is convenient to the plot. For example, one character is surrounded by 30-some people and they are all shooting at her at the same time and she manages to dodge all the bullets and kill almost all of them. It really takes away from the immersion when stuff like this happens and it happens waaaay too much. This would be acceptable in some unrealistic battle shonen with super powers or something but this show is supposed to be in the real world and it is supposed to be very realistic which it is most of the time except for the gun fights. Because of this, in every fight that involves the main characters I know that they are never going to be shot or die because they can just dodge bullets for no reason. This really impeded on my enjoyment of the show so I give my enjoyment a 7/10
OVERALL- overall I give Black Lagoon a 7/10. I would still recommend it to those of you that like action heavy stories with realistic characters in the real world.

One Piece is one of the greatest things I've ever experienced. it is without doubt my favorite anime/manga. It has amazingly interesting and cool characters and a seemingly simple but grand plot. One of the things that I love about it are the characters. Some are just quirky but many others are very well written and interesting. One Piece has an extensive variety of good characters that just make the whole One Piece universe even better than it already is. I could go for hours thinking about different battles that could have happened in different arcs between different characters that would have completely changed

the series. My favorite character is Doflamingo and he is really cool because he is crazy and he just doesn't care about anything but his goals which is really awesome.
Another great thing about One Piece is the artwork. I like the artwork because it is a very good at most parts. The first 500 episodes have good art but after that it gets kinda messed so I would recommend reading the manga after that point.
Another great aspect of One Piece is its music. When something is going down with Luffy a really epic song will play and it will get you really hyped for the coming battle. Just thinking about these songs gives me chills because of what was going on when they were playing. It also has very good openings and endings that are amongst the best I've heard.
One Piece's story is seemingly simple: Luffy is searching for the One Piece. It is not as simple as it seems though. Each arc has its own unique theme, appeal, and characters. each arc immerses you into that islands world and keeps you very entertained. Also each arc builds up on the last one to make a very grand story.
With all these things combined it makes One Piece have something special that I have yet to see in anything else anime, TV series, and movies.
