Currently studying up my undergrad years.
Despised anime because of the likes of DBZ back in middle school until a friend introduced me to Princess Mononoke ftw - and then it was all downhill. I've seen movies more than anything since the creators can put more heart into them, which really shows in every aspect of the work. (Haha, actually it's more because I didn't have the time to go through entire series.) But I'll still watch pretty much anything as long as it keeps me entertained.
Recently started watching regularly, which is why my list is dominated by new shows. I've got some catching up to do, so I'll slowly make my way through the "classics".
My list is mainly for me to keep track of what I like, so you'll likely disagree with a lot of my ratings. I also try to stick with the fact that 5 is an average anime, something I believe a lot of people on this site don't quite understand. Some show may be perfectly watchable but if its execution doesn't make it stick out above others it's not getting an automatic 10 (e.g. CG R2). That said, a 6 means I enjoyed the anime/manga.
I'll add more when I gotz the timez. Just to preempt any requests, I only friend people I know, but I do like to discuss anime etc. So, gimme a shoutout if you've got similar interests, or even completely disagree. Discourse is always good, and I might pick up something I've missed on the second go around!

I really suggest you give Shin Mazinger a chance again ^^ if you can. Episode 1 starts in media res and is mostly some sort of preview of things to come. That's why it's kinda confusing to new peeps.
