i was excited to scroll through your list after seeing your akira review, because i too agree that that movie is overrated asf and utter garbage but now i regret looking at your other rankings because some of them are just god awful.

Your Appleseed (2004) and Appleseed (1988) reviews were really good.

I logged in to compliment you on the January 4th entry. It was a fantastic read. Happy New Year and best of hopes for that next coincidence.

Hey there. Just life as usual. I'm not swimming in as much free time these days, and, consequently, not keeping up with anime. A bad thing? What about you?

I wonder if your sentences about the "$80,000 paper" and "In God We Trust" rubbed your judges the wrong way. Those snippets are rather charged, though I don't disagree!

Skimmed your blog and saw that writeup on June 6th. That was honest, brutal, but most importantly, relatable. Nothing wrong with "stream of consciousness" so long as the content is relatable!

Most of us dream of creating content but do nothing but whine and criticize. I'm 100% guilty. Hats off on putting your pen to paper.

Mind uploading the short?

Twitter would be useful for a blog or business. I'll sign up once I have a message to broadcast.

And glad to hear you are doing well. I agree that we ought to count our blessings.

Taking money to the grave is an edge case. There is a balance to everything. Financial Independence is one way of maximizing happiness. The view being that: Life needs money and interest compounds. Why not save early and work fewer years overall?

On the other hand, many insist that youth is irreplaceable. Seems like there's no easy win.

I overheard a conversation about Friends the other day. There was a gentleman that refused to acknowledge his coworkers as friends because they none were people he'd call for help with a flat tire, for comfort, for consolation, or to talk to for no other reason but to chat. I thought about my own circle and how few were that close.

I had a break-in at my last place which helped with downsizing. A silver lining kinda. It hit me when I realized that I could live without replacing any of it.

The motivating factor for me these days is saving to retire early. It feels so far away.

Maaaan tell me about it! I feel like that lady in Only Yesterday.

Here's another one! I love these kinds of videos: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=frdCgv8JFK8

My bad for taking so long to respond! I guess I am going through a quarter life crisis of sorts. Too much time spent working on projects I feel no passion for. Too little energy after the workday. Have you ever seen this?

You will have to forgive me for these repeated replies. Is that a new blog I see? HELL yeah!

Oh!! I know!! Try that ping pong anime directed by Yuasa. It's fantastic! The show stuck with me enough that I took a beginner's table tennis lesson after watching it haha

Ahh I have been poking at manga lately. Mainly to get my dose of cutesy/romance stuff which I am a sucker for! I haven't been watching much either as I have been caught up and stressing over other things.

Some day I will sit down and power thru my PTW.
It’s time to ditch the text file.
