the pillows is a Japanese alternative rock band, best known internationally for the soundtrack of the anime series FLCL. the pillows were originally "Coin Locker Babies" but was changed after Kenji left the band "KENZI&THE TRIPS".

These guys are f--king amazing.
They set the feel and tone for FLCL and made it something extremely special - absolutely amazing.
Plus, I have yet to dislike an album by them. Their music is just so awesome.

Saw these guys live in Austin, TX 9-13-2011. They were simply amazing and it was one of the coolest things ever. Part of the NAP tour. Great stuff, hope to see them come back again.

There's a line between being overrated, sucking and actually being good (but popular).
Hannah Montana: Overrated because she sucks and can't sing without the help of technology.
The Beatles: Great band, could sing very well, could play instruments very well, had a thousand hits (or so), and is still one of the most popular (if not the most popular) names today.
So, you're wrong. The Beatles are not overrated one bit... They're just a great band with a bajillion followers... That's all.
Now, the pillows are also a great band as you said... I, myself, own eleven of their 16 albums...

The Beatles as great as they are, are a bit over rated. It was pop music not so different at the time (1960s) to the bands people over 20 make fun of today. The Pillows have, at the time of writing 16 albums with quality material and they are still making new music. It speaks volumes when you can honestly enjoy dozens of a bands songs without understanding what they are saying.

I bought both of the FLCL soundtracks, but sadly lost OST 2 a long time ago. T-T I usually don't even bother with CDs unless I like almost all the songs listed, and The Pillows are definitely THAT good!
