I have barely had any time to listen to The Astonishing in one, or even 2 or 3 sittings, it's just so long, lol. I completely agree that nothing in particular stands out, and that it just fits together so well. I can't even think of any other rock albums to compare it to; the closest album would be Kind of Blue by Miles Davis, and while it will never be anywhere near as impactfull as that album, it's still a great listen.

I still had my profile, but couldn't post anything. I won't be back unless they get some kind of coherency; it was way too chaotic for my taste.

I got my copy Monday, and listened to it Tuesday. It was definitely good; and I'm looking forward to many more listens. The James Labrie evil laugh is probably my favorite; it's just so goofy.

So....new DT album out. Amazon hasn't even shipped my copy yet, and isn't giving me a download. :|
